ヨハネの手紙第一 1
1 太初より有りし所のもの、我等が聞きしところ、目にて見し所、つらつら視て手觸りし所のもの、即ち生命の言につきて、
That which was from [the] beginning, that which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes; that which we contemplated, and our hands handled, concerning the word of life;
(and the life has been manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and report to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and has been manifested to us: ) (aiōnios g166)
3 我らの見しところ聞きし所を汝らに告ぐ、これ汝 等をも我らの交際に與らしめん爲なり。我らは父および其の子イエス・キリストの交際に與るなり。
that which we have seen and heard we report to you, that ye also may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship [is] indeed with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 此 等のことを書き贈るは、我らの喜悦の滿ちん爲なり。
And these things write we to you that your joy may be full.
5 我らが彼より聞きて、また汝らに告ぐる音信は是なり、即ち神は光にして少しの暗き所なし。
And this is the message which we have heard from him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 もし神と交際ありと言ひて暗きうちを歩まば、我ら僞りて眞理を行はざるなり。
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not practise the truth.
7 もし神の光のうちに在すごとく光のうちを歩まば、我ら互に交際を得、また其の子イエスの血、すべての罪より我らを潔む。
But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 もし罪なしと言はば、是みづから欺けるにて眞理われらの中になし。
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 もし己の罪を言ひあらはさば、神は眞實にして正しければ、我らの罪を赦し、凡ての不義より我らを潔め給はん。
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us [our] sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 もし罪を犯したる事なしといはば、これ神を僞 者とするなり、神の言われらの中になし。
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
