1 Inki ire imum itonno anyimo Ugomo-Asere. inki ure imum ubenki usuro uhem ume me. inki uronto acce anyimo abibe bire-re urani, inki nan nu nuki iriba ubenka.
If, then, any encouragement comes through union with Christ, if there is any persuasive power in love, if there is any communion with the Spirit, if there is any tenderness or pity,
2 Igminca iriba irom im barki icukuno unu bassa ti mum mu ani me, icukuno unu hem u inde, izin tanu anyimo abibe bire-re bi inde me, icukuno unu baasa imum inde me.
I entreat you to make my happiness complete — Live together animated by the same spirit and in mutual love, one in heart, animated by one Spirit.
3 Kati iwuzi imum amyimo unyara acce nyani uyeze acce. anyo anime anyimo iriba ubenki konda avi ma hiri aye wa teki me.
Nothing should be done in a factious spirit or from vanity, but each of you should with all humility regard others as of more account than himself,
4 Kati konde avi mahiri imum be sa ira aje ame ani cas, abanna mahaki ma hiri imum be sa izi aye.
and one and all should consider, not only their own interests, but also the interests of others.
5 Bassa unaa be sa uraa anyimoUgomo Asere Yeso.
Let the spirit of Christ Jesus be yours also.
6 De be sa ma cukuno anyimo Asere, daki ma ira ticukum timeme nan Asere azome imum be sa madi inta ini ba.
Though the divine nature was his from the beginning, yet he did not look upon equality with God as above all things to be clung to,
7 Anyo anime, ma vete nicce ni meme, mā ziki nicce numeme gusi urere, ma eh anynimo anipum na nabu, a kem me gusi unuba.
but impoverished himself by taking the nature of a servant and becoming like men;
8 Ma tuzo nicce nimeme, mā tarsa uhana iwono, iwono ugankirka ukunti.
he appeared among us as a man, and still further humbled himself by submitting even to death — to death on a cross!
9 Barki anime Asereateki unu yeze ume, mā nyame niza nige be sa ni teki kon di niya niza.
And that is why God raised him to the very highest place, and gave him the Name which stands above all other names,
10 Barki anyimo aniza Yeso kondi aya arung ati tunguno, arung be a raa anyimo azezsere nan nu nee nan na adiizi unee.
so that in adoration of the Name of Jesus every knee should bend, in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth,
11 Koya nilem nidi buki uguna Yeso Ugomo-Asere Asere ani, uhana ahira ani nonzo na Asere acco.
and that every tongue should acknowledge JESUS CHRIST as LORD — to the glory of God the Father.
12 Barki ande sa ma hem in we, gusi utarsa izin ko uya uwui azo uguna inki inrani ini ba, sa azi aname sa inzoni, wuzani katuma kubura in biyaau nan nu utasa umaye.
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always been obedient in the past, so now work out your own Salvation with anxious care, not only when I am with you, but all the more now that I am absent.
13 Abanna Ugomo-Asere mani katuma anyimo ashi me wuzan ni inriba uguna Ugomo-Asere madi hem ini.
Remember it is God who, in his kindness, is at work within you, enabling you both to will and to work.
14 Wazan vat imum saarki urezi utize nyani matara ba. Barki icukuno anu uzatu ujoro ikuri icukuno ana kadura, ahana Asere anu zatu umadini.
In all that you do, avoid murmuring and dissension,
15 wazan ani me barki isuro masaa gusi masasa anyimo unee ugeme, ati amaso mage samaceki unaa nan nu cara uge sa wa corno me.
so as to prove yourselves blameless and innocent — ‘faultless children of God, in the midst of an evil-disposed and perverse generation,’ in which you are seen shining like stars in a dark world,
16 In tani ni gburang mi vai in nikara barki inkem unna be sa indi nonzo Ugomo-Asere roni umeme, abine ani indi rusi uguna daki ina waza magasiya ma hura ba.
offering to men the Message of Life; and then I shall be able at the Day of Christ to boast that I did not run my course for nothing, or toil for nothing.
17 Nyani inki azi nu tinika um kasi imum be sa azinu wito Ugomo-Asere nan katumu ka kaduru ka shi me, mawuza iriba irom, makura mawuza iriba irom nan shi vat.
And yet, even if, when your faith is offered as a sacrifice to God, my life-blood must be poured out in addition, still I shall rejoice and share the joy of you all;
18 Gusi anime shi me cangi wuzani iriba irom nigo nan ni.
and do you also rejoice and share my joy.
19 Abanna me mazika iriba im uguna indi tumi timoti ahira azo nu dadda kino ba, barki mi ma in kem utonno in ki marusa imum be sa iraa anyimo.
I hope, however, as one who trusts in the Lord Jesus, to send Timothy to you before long, so that I may myself be cheered by receiving news of you.
20 Abanna imzom uye sa iruiba im ya aye i inde nan me ba, de be sa ma hirain niriba ineze ikadura.
For I have no one but him to send — no one of kindred spirit who would take the same genuine interest in your welfare.
21 Barki wa nya ukem uwe uni azo u Yesu Ugomo-Asere.
They are all pursuing their own aims and not those of Christ Jesus.
22 Abana me irusa uturi umeme, gusi ugina sa mazin nu wuza unuyoo umeme, animani ma wuzim nirere ahira atize ta asere.
But you know what Timothy has proved himself to be, and how, like a child working for his father, he worked hard with me in spreading the Good News.
23 Ine ini ua wuna in inso iriba in tumi azo unu daddankino ba inki ma ira imum be sa ihaka.
It is Timothy, then, whom I hope to send, as soon as ever I can foresee how it will go with me.
24 Abanna me ciki tappi anyi mo Ugomo-Asere unu guna mi ni cce nim in eze azo unu daddagino ba.
And I am confident, as one who trusts in the Lord Jesus, that before long I myself shall follow.
25 Abanna in bassa uguna irezi in tumi Abafarotius, me uhenu um mani uroni ukatuma, una kadura kashi me ma kuri mazi urere barki imum be sa in nyara.
Still I think it necessary to send Epaphroditus to you now, for he is my brother, fellow-worker, and fellow-soldier, and he was also your messenger to help me in my need.
26 Sa ma nyara u ira ushi vat, ma meki ubassa abanga aburu kang sa azi ya kunna ma wuzi nipum.
For he has been longing to see you all, and has been distressed because you heard of his illness.
27 Kadura kani mawuzi nipum ma sanzi uwono, abanna nan mi, barki kati in wu aburu abit azezsere aburu abit.
And I can assure you that his illness very nearly proved fatal. But God had pity on him, and not on him only but also on me, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 Barki anime mawuna iriba utuma ume, barki inki ya kuri ya irani me indi wuu iriba irom mi inkuri in suri anyimo ubassa utize.
I am all the more ready, therefore, to send him, so that the sight of him may revive your spirits and my own sorrow be lightened.
29 Kabani Abafaroditus vat iriba ivom anyimo Ugomo-Asere, i iri gancan wa nabu gusi meme.
Give him, then, the heartiest of Christian welcomes, and hold such men in great honour.
30 Barki katuma ku Ugomo-Asere kani ka aye mamamu uwono, ma nya nicce ni meme barki ma ma wuzim ni rere barki ma gminca katuma ka ge be sa kazi uguna idi wuzin min.
For it was owing to his devotion to the Master’s work that he was at the point of death, having risked his own life in the effort to supply what was wanting in the help that you sent me.
