Umatiyu 23
1 Yeso mawuzi we tize, magu.
Then Jeshu discoursed with the multitudes and with his disciples,
2 Anu dungara wa taurat nan nanu bezi uru wa tonno u turi umu sa.
and said to them, Upon the chair of Musha sit the scribes and the Pharishee.
3 Barki anime, tarsani i wuzi vat imumbe sa wabuka shi, kati i wuzi imum sa wazin nu wuzame ba.
Every thing, therefore, which they tell you to observe, observe and do; but after their practices do not act; for they say, and do not.
4 Wake wa caniwwe cira ugittak, ujas uhanna, wacana anu uni agirza we acece awe wadake wa hana ba.
And they bind heavy burdens, and lay them on the shoulders of men, but they with their fingers are not willing to touch them.
5 Vat biwuza wuza buwe aje anu ani, wabara iliya idandang in ti di bi tuwe u tuzo adizi.
And all their works they do that they may be seen of men; for they widen their tephillin, and lengthen the fringes of their waving vestments,
6 Wa nyara ticukum ti gan can a hiri agab, nan tihira titi cukum ti hu ma udenge Asere.
and love the chief reclining-places at evening feasts, and the highest seats in synagogues,
7 A issiziwe ati hira tini gura, agussin we anu dungara.
and the shaloma in public places, and to be called of men Râbi.
8 Kati hem a gussin shi anu dungara ba, barki unu dungara ushime u inde mani vat tu shi ni henu nini.
But be you not called Râbi: for One is your Master; but all ye are brethren.
9 Kati ititi uye acoo anyimo unee, barki acoo u inde mani asesere.
And call no man Abâ to you upon earth: for One is your Father, who is in heaven.
10 Kati atiti shi anu tarsan nanu wani ba unu tarsan na nu memani yeso.
Neither be ye called Medabronee: for One is your Guide, -the Meshicha.
11 De sa mazi unanu anyimo a shi me mani urere.
But he who is great among you, let him be your servitor.
12 Vat desa m yeze nice nume, adituzo me, desa ma tuzo nice adi yeze me.
For whosoever will exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoever will abase himself shall be exalted.
13 Shi wono shi anime anu dungara, nan anu uyetike a nu bezizi urusa, ana mi yakorsizo tina turibize azesese ace a shi, shi dakki ya ribe ba.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharishee, hypocrites! because you hold the kingdom of heaven closed before the children of men; for you will not enter in yourselves, and them who are entering you will not permit to enter.
14 Shi wono shi anu dungara wataura nan nanu bezizi urusa, ana matin! ike iri imumare aneme sa anu ruma wawijo ike hunze tubunani in bi ringara bi jokon anime azin nu tara u shi.
WOE to you, scribes and Pharishee, hypocrites! because you devour the houses of widows, with the pretext of prolonging your prayers; on account of which you shall receive the greater judgment.
15 Shi wono shi anime, anu dungara wataura, nan nanu be zizi rusa, anamalin ike tar si ti hihira nan ma rba ma dandn dang, barki unyara unu tarsa ushi cas inki ya kem ikurzo me una yimo ura. (Geenna g1067)
Woe to you, scribes and Pharishee, hypocrites! because you go over sea and dry (land) to make one proselyte; and when you have done it, you make him doubly more a son of gihana than yourselves. (Geenna g1067)
16 Shi wono shi, shi anu hungo arubo, shi sa igussa, vattu shi yatonizo undenge Asere imum i zoni, aname desa ma tonikon in ni mumu ihuma udenge Asere, itoni idi rime.
Woe to you, ye blind guides, who say, That who sweareth by the temple, it is nothing; but if he swear by the gold which is in the temple, he is liable!
17 Shi ababana, arobo! iya ini iteki shi innu gwardang, bizinariya bini nani udenge Asere sa u zi lau.
You senseless and blind! for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 Ike gu, kodavi matoniko innu bagadi sadi ga imum izoni. vat de sa matoni kon innu wito nice, itono idimekime.
And (that) whoever sweareth by the altar, it is nothing; but he swear by the oblation which is upon it, he is liable.
19 Shi arubo iya ini iteki innu gwarndang, u sadiga uni nani ubagadi uwito sa u zi usadiga alau.
You foolish and sightless! for which is greater, the oblation, or the altar that sanctifieth the oblation?
20 Barki anime kovi magoni kon in nu bagadi uhaya sa uzi lau nani vat inni mumbe sa ira anyimo me.
He therefore who sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things that are upon it.
21 Vat desa ma tonikon innu denge Asere, matonikon me, nan desa mara anyimo me.
And he who sweareth by the temple, sweareth by it, and by whatever abideth in it.
22 koda vi matonikon na zesere, matonikon inn hira ati cukuno tu gomo masere.
And whosoever sweareth by heaven, sweareth by the throne of Aloha, and by Him who sitteth thereon.
23 Shi wono shi anu dungara wataura nan nanu bezizi urusa, anamalin! ike isusso imum ye sere reppii? Iye yavete imumu ihuna ini kara ya taura, me ini kadure, nan imum iriri, ubeziu inko iginọ ini ya wuna inguna iwuzi, kati iceki ireba ba.
Woe to you, scribes, Pharishee, hypocrites! because you tithe mint, dill, and cummin, and omit the more grave of the law, -justice, benignity, and faithfulness. For these you should have done, and those not omitted.
24 Anu hungo arubo, ike i inki iruba u kwaro dan mitsil, anime ike itu be ronkoni.
You blind guides, who strain out gnats and swallow camels.
25 Shi wono shi anu dungara wa taura nan naun bezizi uru sa, anamalin! ike i kpici mamaru miso anyimo me ini madiri.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharishee, hypocrites! who cleanse the outside of the cup and dish (which) within are full of rapine and injustice.
26 Hu urubo unu bezi urusa! tuba u kpico u mamaru miso udiku kpici anyumo me barki mataraa macukuno lau.
Sightless Pharishee! cleanse first the inside of the cup and the dish, that their outside also may be clean.
27 Shiwono shi, anu dungara ataura nan nanu bezizi urusa, anamalin! kasi mucau sa a humuka muni, amatara anyimo me a ubo ani zenzen.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharishee, hypocrites! for you are like whited sepulchres, which without appear beautiful, but within are full of the bones of the dead and all impurity.
28 Aje shi ana huma wani, iye a nyimoo malin mani in katuma kaburu.
So you also from without appear to the sons of men as righteous, but within you are full of unrighteousness and hypocrisy.
29 Shiwono shi anu dungara ataura nan nanu bezizi urusa, anamalin! ike i bari tikura a mu cau manu dang akatuma ka sere, ibara tihira.
WOE to you, scribes and Pharishee, hypocrites! because you rebuild the tombs of the prophets and beautify the sepulchres of the just; and say,
30 Igusa da ta cukuno uganiya acokoro aru utuba, sa daki ta benkuwe u kwon gizo umaye manu adang akatuma.
If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been with them partakers in the blood of the prophets:
31 A anime ya bezi ace ashi, she wani ahana uhuza ana katuma kadang ka sere.
thus bearing witness against yourselves, that you are the sons of them who killed the prophets.
32 Ba mincikinani katuma kacokoro ashime.
And you also, -complete the measure of your fathers.
Serpents, birth of vipers! how will you escape from the judgment of gihana? (Geenna g1067)
34 Barkin anime ma tuman shi ana katuma kadang kasere, nan nanu urusa imum, nan anu rusa atau ra, idi huzi aye awe i gankirka aye, icobi aye suwe ti pin tipin, in nu mnsa uwe u zitto.
On this account, behold, I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes; (some) of these you shall kill and crucify; and (some) of these you shall scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city.
35 Barki nihaiki ni maye manu nanni ruba ubenki a kponkoni unee, makuro ace ashi uzi ka umaye mahabila unu uriri uhana uma zakariya unu barikiya, desa ya hu atii udenge Asere.
So that there shall come upon you all the blood of the just which hath been shed upon the earth; from the blood of Habil the righteous, unto the blood of Zakaria-bar-Barakia, whom you slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Kadure inboshi, vat agimo me adi kem anu ganiya ugeme.
Amen I say unto you, that all these shall come upon this generation.
37 “Shi ananu u urshalima! ananu urshalima anu huzza ana katuma ka dang kasere, anu vingizi an de sa atuma ahira ashi! ka ka hono kani manyara in orso shi kasi bi tukuru sabike bi orso ahana anyimo ama gawre mabini!
Urishlem, Urishlem! who killest the prophets, and stonest them who are sent unto her, what times would I have gathered thy children, as gathereth the hen her young ones beneath her wings, and you would not!
38 Iyenne aceki shi akura anime.
Lo, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 In bossi shi, idaka ira miba, senke ronobesa ya guna, biringara bi cukuno ahira unu ezen ni za ni gomo sere.”
For I say unto you, That you shall not see me from henceforth, until you shall say, Blessed is he who cometh in the name of the Lord.
