3 Uyohana 1
1 Unanu udenge Asere Gayus desa ma ram iriba.
The elder unto Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth.
2 Nihenu inzin biringara barki ure aje ashi me nan nihuma nishi me kasi uciki ubibe biriri bishi me.
Beloved, I pray that in all things thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 Ma wuza iriba irum unu ira aye anyimo anihenu wa e barki kadure kashi me, barki i haka anyimo kadure.
For I rejoiced greatly, when brethren came and bare witness unto thy truth, even as thou walkest in truth.
4 In zom iri mum sa iteki igeme ba, ukunna agi ahana awe wa haka meru.
Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.
5 Uhenu um, vat imum be sa uwuza nihenu, katuma ku inko iriba ini u zini umuta agenu.
Beloved, thou doest a faithful work in whatsoever thou doest toward them that are brethren and strangers withal;
6 We wani wa bezi uzina uwe me ahira anu tarsa Asere, idi wu uri u tibi we in ire imum, ani me udi bezi utarsa Asere.
who bare witness to thy love before the church: whom thou wilt do well to set forward on their journey worthily of God:
7 Barki niza nigino nini wa suri ni, ma kabsa imum ba ahira anu tarsa Asere.
because that for the sake of the Name they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
8 Barki ani me idi wu uri ti kabsi usandu anu agino me, ti canti we merum, barki ti cukuno aroni akatuma nan we anyimo akadure.
We therefore ought to welcome such, that we may be fellow-workers with the truth.
9 Ma nyertike uhana anyimo nigura me, ma ira Diyotarifis, desa ma nyra ma cukuno bigoro a nyimo awe me, ma game itarsa utize tiru.
I wrote somewhat unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
10 Barki ani me, ingi ma aye, indi buki me imum me sa ma wuza, ma wuza bi bukum biru barki ma cari duru ni, ani me ya bari me ba, ma game u wuna uni henu mahabi, ma karti, i an desa wa nyara uwuza mahabi, ma suzo we anyimo udenge wa Asere.
Therefore, if I come, I will bring to remembrance his works which he doeth, prating against us with wicked words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and them that would he forbiddeth, and casteth [them] out of the church.
11 Nihenu, kati i tarsi imum iburi ba tarsa nin igebe sa izi iriri, desa ma wuza imum iriri ma rusa Asere, desa ma wuza imum iburi ma taame Asere ba.
Beloved, imitate not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
12 Damitiya ma rusa kode nyani ahira akonde vi, kadure in nice ni kani ka tarsa me, haru ma ti rusan in ani me, urusa uru me kadure kani.
Demetrius hath the witness of all [men], and of the truth itself: yea, we also bear witness; and thou knowest that our witness is true.
13 Ma zin in timumum gbardang tige be sa ma nyari in nyertike, mi be daki ma nyara in nyertike ba in nibiro ni mei, barki ma ira ida wuna me uri ani me ba.
I had many things to write unto thee, but I am unwilling to write [them] to thee with ink and pen:
14 In zinu ubasa me tidi iri acece anyimo ati ye ti geme sarki ucara uganiya, abini me tidi buu tize aje unu hira aje. Cukuno ni ini riba iruum, aroni wa iso kode vi in niza nume.
but I hope shortly to see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace [be] unto thee. The friends salute thee. Salute the friends by name.
