Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

as newborn babes, long for the spiritual milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation;

if ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious:
4 Aye ahira ati po ni vai nigre sa anu wa ga nini, barki ani me azauka nini imumu iririahira Asere.
unto whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed of men, but with God elect, precious,
5 Shi kasi apoo ivai abara shi akura ariri, barki icukuno lau ahira a hana ka tuma, barki inyizi uwito ace Asere imumu kaba ahira Asere ta hira Yeso vana Asere.
ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 Baki uni itike wa guna, “Mi be ma nata nipo num anibura, nuzawa, ni riri anyimo sihiyona. Vat desa ma nya kadura ahira ameme made se mu ē ba.”
Because it is contained in scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: And he that believeth on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Imumu iriri ahira ashe ani, shi sa ya nya kadure. Barki andesa wa gawe unya iriba, “Nipoosa ana so wa nyari manini ni neni a inki ane bura nu denge.”
For you therefore which believe is the preciousness: but for such as disbelieve, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner;

and, A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence; for they stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 Barki anime azauka usuro iwaye memani, u ora ace wana dandang ukatuma ka Asere, ugomo anu alau, anu kaba Asere barki iboo imumu wuza ige sa atita shi anyimo a reu, uhana amasaa. Mati timumu tiriri.
But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for [God’s] own possession, that ye may shew forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
10 Shi ya zi anu ba, ana meshi anu Asere wani, da makem usuraba, ana me ya kem ubura.
which in time past were no people, but now are the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Anu henu um izinu igizo ushi, sumani timumun tini pum.
Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Cukuno anu wuza imumu riri anyimo anabu, barki uganiya sa wa gane uira ushi kasi anu wuza imum izenzen, wadi hiri timumu tiriri tishi me kasi uhana uwui u aye Ugomo Asere.
having your behaviour seemly among the Gentiles; that, wherein they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
13 Uza ni imumu iriri nan kodi ti tigomo ta anabu barki Ugomo Asere.
Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Nani shi anu akatuma kame kani barki iyomko anu wuza ukatuma ka riri.
or unto governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evil-doers and for praise to them that do well.
15 A geno me u ira Asere ani, ahira akatuma ka huma ka shi me, kara ni rere nanu uzatu urasa.
For so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 Kasi ande sa akabawe kati. I wuzi katuma unu bura ushi me kasi ugudu uwuza ukatuma ka zenzen, barki anime cukuno ni kas arere Asere.
as free, and not using your freedom for a cloke of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.
17 Nonzo ni anu vat, sumani 'anu henu, ikunna biyau ba Asere. inonzo ugomo.
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
18 Shi arere, nonzo aka co akura ashime anyimo u vat ni nonzo. Azo anu imumu iriri nan anu tuzo ace ba, barki ani nan anu imumu iburu.
Servants, [be] in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
19 Barki anime imumu iri nunzo nini barki inka ubezi iriba uhan ahira Asere inka uye ma tira iriba ina sa uyomo.
For this is acceptable, if for conscience toward God a man endureth griefs, suffering wrongfully.
20 Barki ani me nyani ni ya kem inka ya wuza imumu imadi. Ni azunu yomo ishi ya tira iriba unu yomo me? Barki ani me inka ya wuza katuma ka riri ya sa ni rere ahira ini ya wuza iriba ihuu, agino me imumu ikaba ini ahira Asere
For what glory is it, if, when ye sin, and are buffeted [for it], ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye shall take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21 Barki ane ani atita shi, baeki Asere asi nirere barki shi, ma ceki shi imumu iwuza ati buna tumeme.
For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22 Da ma wuna imumu imadini ba, da amu kunna urangaarani ame ba.
who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Adi zogi me mada garza tizogo me ba. Ma si uyomo, sarki ubina ni, ma witi nice nume me ahira anu inko utiza ti ka dure.
who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Me ini cenume me maziki madini maru ma hani asesere utiti, barki kati akem duru anyimo amadini, barki ani me tiwuzi ticumkum ti kadure, ahira tanu tume tini ya huma ni.
who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 Vat ushi sa ya hunne shi izinu kese kasi itam sa ya hunne me, ana me ya ze ahira unu utar san shi nan unu ahira ibe shi me.
For ye were going astray like sheep; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
