< 1 Ukorontiyawa 10 >
1 Innyara irusa, ni henu, aka coo uru wara ana dizi Uganjimari wa kuri wa tarsa anyumo uraba udandang.
For I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and they all went across the sea.
2 Vat uwe awuza we ubaptisma angumo ama ganjimari nan uraba udandang.
And in Moses, they all were baptized, in the cloud and in the sea.
3 Vat uwe waree imum yarce ibibe biririn usandu inde.
And they all ate of the same spiritual food.
4 Vat uwe wa si imum usa ibibe biririn usandu inde. Barki sa wa si ahira ani poo nibibe biririn sa na tarsi we, nipoo me ninee nini vana Asere.
And they all drank of the same spiritual drink. And so, they all were drinking of the spiritual rock seeking to obtain them; and that rock was Christ.
5 Daki Ugomo Asere maa kunna urunta uma roo mawe ba, mukizi muwe me mu samirka anija.
But with most of them, God was not well-pleased. For they were struck down in the desert.
6 Ana me timum tigeme imum ubatta ini ahira aruu, kati ti inki timum tibur amuruba kasi wenne ba.
Now these things were done as an example for us, so that we might not desire evil things, just as they desired.
7 Kati icukuno anu tarsa umakiri kasi āye sa waa wuzi. Kasi unyertike sa āwuzi, “Anu waka vukuno wa ri wa si wa kuri wahirri wawuzi biranza.”
And so, do not take part in idolatry, as some of them did, just as it was written: “The people sat down to eat and to drink, and then they rose up to amuse themselves.”
8 Kati timussi wana nee naa anu ruma mabura nan inyani sa inzo aru wani ba, kasi maroo mawe me, roni inde anuu a ino ukiran kana kuru are inkani kataru wa wee.
And let us not commit fornication, as some of them fornicated, and so twenty-three thousand fell on one day.
9 Kati timansa vana Asere kasi sa maroo mawe mawuzi, iwa ihuzzi we.
And let us not tempt Christ, as some of them tempted, and so they perished by serpents.
10 Kati ticukuno anu humoro kasi weme, wa wiji atari tibibe bika dura ka Asere biwono.
And you should not murmur, as some of them murmured, and so they perished by the destroyer.
11 Timum tigeme takem we bati icuunon duru imum ubatta. A nyertike icukuno imum ikubum, haru ande sa umara unee wa aye ace aruu. (aiōn )
Now all of these things happened to them as an example, and so they have been written for our correction, because the final age has fallen upon us. (aiōn )
12 Barki anime, ca komdevi magamari memmerum, ma wuzi merum kati marizi.
And so, whosoever considers himself to be standing, let him be careful not to fall.
13 Umansa uda ayeshi, uge sa wamu aye anyumo uvat anuu ba. Anyo, Asere ahuma ani. Madā cekime amansa shi unu mansa sa udi aki nikara nishi ba. Madi nya shi unaa uroo anyumo ubata me sa adi wuzi shi.
Temptation should not take hold of you, except what is human. For God is faithful, and he will not permit you to be tempted beyond your ability. Instead, he will effect his Providence, even during temptation, so that you may be able to bear it.
14 Barki anime shi ande sa mahemshi cekini utarsa umakiri.
Because of this, most beloved of mine, flee from the worship of idols.
15 Inzi tize nan shi kasi anuu bassa ukang, bati I batti imum sa inboo shi.
Since I am speaking to those who are prudent, judge what I say for yourselves.
16 Kusso kuringirka kuge sa tizin unu tingirka me, inzo nigome nine anyumo amaye ma vana Asere? Ubiredi me sa tizin upozo me, inzo nigome nine anyume vana Asere?
The cup of benediction that we bless, is it not a communion in the Blood of Christ? And the bread that we break, is it not a participation in the Body of the Lord?
17 Barki ubiredi u'inde uni, haru gbardan ani pum ni'inde. Vat uruu tidi rii ubiredi u'inde nigome.
Through the one bread, we, though many, are one body: all of us who are partakers of the one bread.
18 Irani anuu Isaraila; ida rusa shi ba ana katuma udenge Asere wakenzi imum yaree abinime ani ba?
Consider Israel, according to the flesh. Are not those who eat from the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
19 Nyani ni in gusan shi ani me? Makiri imum ini? Nani imumare sa anyinza makiri, ire imum ini?
What is next? Should I say that what is immolated to idols is anything? Or that the idol is anything?
20 Mi inzin tize atimum sa anu zatu tarse Asere wa ninza, wa ninza agberge ne wani inzo asere ba. Inda nyaram Iwuzi tanu nan agbergene ba.
But the things that the Gentiles immolate, they immolate to demons, and not to God. And I do not want you to become partakers with demons.
21 Ida saa shi aku soo ku Ugomo Asere ikuri isii ka gbergene ba, ida ree shi imum yaree Ugomo Asere ikuri iree ya gbergene ba.
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons. You cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and partakers of the table of demons.
22 Nani tinyara tiwu Ugomo Asere ni'eru? Titeki me nikara?
Or should we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he is? All is lawful to me, but not all is expedient.
23 “Kondi nyani izi rep,” Inzo kondi nyani izin katuma ba, “Kondi nyani izi rep” inzo kondi nyanini I'eze unure aje anu ba.
All is lawful to me, but not all is edifying.
24 Kati uye ma nyari ubura unicee nume ba, anime manyari ubura uhenu.
Let no one seek for himself, but for others.
25 Udake uree vat imum me sa azin unu ziza me ukasuwa, sārki ubasa utize.
Whatever is sold in the market, you may eat, without asking questions for the sake of conscience.
26 Barki “unee nan vat timum me sa tira anyumo me I Ugomo Asere ini.”
“The earth and all its fullness belong to the Lord.”
27 Ingi unu zatu uhem in na Asere ma titawe agi irii imum yaree, ahun ini ruba yaree me uree vat imum me sa anya we sārki uhara Iruba.
If you are invited by any unbelievers, and you are willing to go, you may eat whatever is set before you, without asking questions for the sake of conscience.
28 Ingi uye magunan hu, “Imum yaree ima kiri mani” kati uree ba. Udi wuu anime barki de sa mabuka we, nan bassa.
But if anyone says, “This has been sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it, for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience.
29 In boo Ubassa ude sa mabuka we inzo ubassa uwe ba. Barki nyanini adi ziki ucara uye acani mi?
But I am referring to the conscience of the other person, not to yours. For why should my liberty be judged by the conscience of another?
30 Ingi ma guna ankoi barki imum yarce sa maree nyanini idi wu azogun barki sa maguna ankoi?
If I partake with thanksgiving, why should I be slandered over that for which I give thanks?
31 Barki anime, ingi uzin naree nan usaa, wuza vat barki unonzo asere.
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever else you may do, do everything for the glory of God.
32 Kati ucukuno unaa upilko, wa yanhudawa, nan Aheliniyawa nan anuu Asere ba.
Be without offense toward the Jews, and toward the Gentiles, and toward the Church of God,
33 Ma wuza morso bati in rumi vati anuu muruba vat atimun. Inzo barki nicee num ba, barki konderi: Ma wuza anime bati wa kem ubara.
just as I also, in all things, please everyone, not seeking what is best for myself, but what is best for many others, so that they may be saved.
