Romani 1

1 Paolo, servo di Cristo Gesù, chiamato ad essere apostolo, appartato per l’Evangelo di Dio,

Paul a servant of Christ Jesus a called apostle set apart for [the] gospel of God,

2 ch’Egli avea già promesso per mezzo de’ suoi profeti nelle sante Scritture

which He promised beforehand through the prophets of Him in [the] Scriptures Holy

3 e che concerne il suo Figliuolo,

concerning the Son of Him, who having come of [the] seed of David according to flesh,

4 nato dal seme di Davide secondo la carne, dichiarato Figliuolo di Dio con potenza secondo lo spirito di santità mediante la sua risurrezione dai morti; cioè Gesù Cristo nostro Signore,

who having been declared Son of God in power according to [the] Spirit of holiness by resurrection [from the] dead, Jesus Christ the Lord of us,

5 per mezzo del quale noi abbiam ricevuto grazia e apostolato per trarre all’ubbidienza della fede tutti i Gentili, per amore del suo nome

through whom we have received grace and apostleship unto obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of the name of Him,

6 fra i quali Gentili siete voi pure, chiamati da Gesù Cristo

among whom are also you yourselves called of Jesus Christ;

7 a quanti sono in Roma, amati da Dio, chiamati ad esser santi, grazia a voi e pace da Dio nostro Padre e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.

To all those being in Rome beloved of God to [those] called saints: Grace to you and peace from God [the] Father of us and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

8 Prima di tutto io rendo grazie all’Iddio mio per mezzo di Gesù Cristo per tutti voi perché la vostra fede è pubblicata per tutto il mondo.

First indeed I thank the God of mine through Jesus Christ (for *N(k)O*) all of you because the faith of you is being proclaimed in all the world;

9 Poiché Iddio, al quale servo nello spirito mio annunziando l’Evangelo del suo Figliuolo, mi è testimone ch’io non resto dal far menzione di voi in tutte le mie preghiere,

Witness for me is God, whom I serve in the spirit of mine in the gospel of the Son of Him, how unceasingly mention of you I make always upon the prayers of mine

10 chiedendo che in qualche modo mi sia porta finalmente, per la volontà di Dio, l’occasione propizia di venire a voi.

imploring, if somehow now at last I will succeed by the will of God to come to you;

11 Poiché desidero vivamente di vedervi per comunicarvi qualche dono spirituale affinché siate fortificati;

I long for to see you, that some I may impart gift to you spiritual to the strengthening of you,

12 o meglio, perché quando sarò tra voi ci confortiamo a vicenda mediante la fede che abbiamo in comune, voi ed io.

that now is to be encouraged together among you through the among one another faith of you both and of me.

13 Or, fratelli, non voglio che ignoriate che molte volte mi sono proposto di recarmi da voi (ma finora ne sono stato impedito) per avere qualche frutto anche fra voi come fra il resto dei Gentili.

Not I do want now you to be ignorant, brothers, that many times I purposed to come to you and was hindered until the present, that some fruit I may have also among you even as even among the other Gentiles.

14 Io son debitore tanto ai Greci quanto ai Barbari, tanto ai savi quanto agli ignoranti;

To Greeks both and to barbarians, to [the] wise both and to [the] foolish a debtor I am;

15 ond’è che, per quanto sta in me, io son pronto ad annunziar l’Evangelo anche a voi che siete in Roma.

Thus as to me myself [there is] readiness also to you who [are] in Rome to evangelise.

16 Poiché io non mi vergogno dell’Evangelo; perché esso è potenza di Dio per la salvezza d’ogni credente; del Giudeo prima e poi del Greco;

Not for I am ashamed of the gospel (of the Christ; *K*) [the] power for of God it is unto salvation to everyone who is believing — to Jew both first and to Greek.

17 poiché in esso la giustizia di Dio è rivelata da fede a fede, secondo che è scritto: Ma il giusto vivrà per fede.

[The] righteousness for of God in it is revealed from faith to faith even as it has been written: And the righteous by faith will live.

18 Poiché l’ira di Dio si rivela dal cielo contro ogni empietà ed ingiustizia degli uomini che soffocano la verità con l’ingiustizia;

Is revealed for [the] wrath of God from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men the truth by unrighteousness suppressing,

19 infatti quel che si può conoscer di Dio è manifesto in loro, avendolo Iddio loro manifestato;

because the known of God manifest is among them; God for to them has revealed [it].

20 poiché le perfezioni invisibili di lui, la sua eterna potenza e divinità, si vedon chiaramente sin dalla creazione del mondo, essendo intese per mezzo delle opere sue; (aïdios g126)

The for invisible qualities of Him from [the] creation of [the] world by the things made being understood are clearly seen, the both eternal of Him power and divinity, for to be them without excuse. (aïdios g126)

21 ond’è che essi sono inescusabili, perché, pur avendo conosciuto Iddio, non l’hanno glorificato come Dio, né l’hanno ringraziato; ma si son dati a vani ragionamenti, e l’insensato loro cuore s’è ottenebrato.

For having known God not as God they glorified [Him] or were thankful, but they became futile in the thinking of them, and was darkened the foolish of them heart;

22 Dicendosi savi, son divenuti stolti,

Professing to be wise they became fools

23 e hanno mutato la gloria dell’incorruttibile Iddio in immagini simili a quelle dell’uomo corruttibile, e d’uccelli e di quadrupedi e di rettili.

and they changed the glory of the immortal God into a likeness of an image of mortal man and birds and quadrupeds and creeping things.

24 Per questo, Iddio li ha abbandonati, nelle concupiscenze de’ loro cuori, alla impurità, perché vituperassero fra loro i loro corpi;

Therefore (and *k*) gave up them God in the desires of the hearts of them to impurity to dishonor the bodies of them between (themselves, *N(k)O*)

25 essi, che hanno mutato la verità di Dio in menzogna, e hanno adorato e servito la creatura invece del Creatore, che è benedetto in eterno. Amen. (aiōn g165)

who changed the truth of God into the falsehood, and they reverenced and they served the created thing beyond the [One] having created [it], who is blessed to the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

26 Perciò Iddio li ha abbandonati a passioni infami: poiché le loro femmine hanno mutato l’uso naturale in quello che è contro natura,

Because of this gave up them God to passions of dishonor; Even for females of them changed the natural use into that contrary to nature,

27 e similmente anche i maschi, lasciando l’uso naturale della donna, si sono infiammati nella loro libidine gli uni per gli altri, commettendo uomini con uomini cose turpi, e ricevendo in loro stessi la condegna mercede del proprio traviamento.

Likewise then also the males having left the natural use of the female were inflamed in the desire of them toward one another, males with males the shame working out, and the recompense which was fitting of the error of them in themselves receiving.

28 E siccome non si sono curati di ritenere la conoscenza di Dio, Iddio li ha abbandonati ad una mente reproba, perché facessero le cose che sono sconvenienti,

And even as not they did see fit God to have in [their] knowledge, gave up them God to a depraved mind to do the [things] not being proper,

29 essendo essi ricolmi d’ogni ingiustizia, malvagità, cupidigia, malizia; pieni d’invidia, d’omicidio, di contesa, di frode, di malignità;

filled with all unrighteousness (sexual immorality *K*) wickedness, covetousness, malice, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness, gossips

30 delatori, maldicenti, abominevoli a Dio, insolenti, superbi, vanagloriosi, inventori di mali, disubbidienti ai genitori,

slanderers, hateful to God, insolent arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, to parents disobedient,

31 insensati, senza fede nei patti, senza affezione naturale, spietati;

foolish, untrustworthy, heartless (implacable, *K*) unmerciful,

32 i quali, pur conoscendo che secondo il giudizio di Dio quelli che fanno codeste cose son degni di morte, non soltanto le fanno, ma anche approvano chi le commette.

who the righteous decree of God having known that those such things doing worthy of death are, not only them they are practicing but also they are approving of those practicing [them].
