1 Al Capo de’ musici. Per strumenti a corda. Su Sheminith. Salmo di Davide. O Eterno, non correggermi nella tua ira, e non castigarmi nel tuo cruccio.

To the choirmaster with stringed instruments on the sheminith a psalm of David. O Yahweh may not in anger your you rebuke me and may not in wrath your you discipline me.

2 Abbi pietà di me, o Eterno, perché son tutto fiacco; sanami, o Eterno, perché le mie ossa son tutte tremanti.

Show favor to me O Yahweh for [am] frail I heal me O Yahweh for they are disturbed bones my.

3 Anche l’anima mia è tutta tremante; e tu, o Eterno, infino a quando?

And self my it is disturbed exceedingly (and you *Q(K)*) O Yahweh until when?

4 Ritorna, o Eterno, libera l’anima mia; salvami, per amor della tua benignità.

Return! O Yahweh rescue! life my save me on account of covenant loyalty your.

5 Poiché nella morte non c’è memoria di te; chi ti celebrerà nel soggiorno de’ morti? (Sheol h7585)

For there not in death [is] remembrance of you in Sheol who? will he give thanks to you. (Sheol h7585)

6 Io sono esausto a forza di gemere; ogni notte allago di pianto il mio letto e bagno delle mie lacrime il mio giaciglio.

I have become weary - by groaning my I make swim in every night bed my with tear[s] my couch my I melt.

7 L’occhio mio si consuma dal dolore, invecchia a cagione di tutti i miei nemici.

It has wasted away from grief eye my it has grown weak with all opposers my.

8 Ritraetevi da me, voi tutti operatori d’iniquità; poiché l’Eterno ha udita la voce del mio pianto.

Turn away from me O all [those who] do wickedness for he has heard Yahweh [the] sound of weeping my.

9 L’Eterno ha udita la mia supplicazione, l’Eterno accoglie la mia preghiera.

He has heard Yahweh supplication my Yahweh prayer my he will accept.

10 Tutti i miei nemici saran confusi e grandemente smarriti; volteranno le spalle e saranno svergognati in un attimo.

May they be ashamed - and they may be disturbed exceedingly all enemies my they will turn back they will be ashamed a moment.
