Salmi 149

1 Alleluia. Cantate all’Eterno un nuovo cantico, cantate la sua lode nell’assemblea dei fedeli.

Alleluya. Synge ye to the Lord a newe song; hise heriyng be in the chirche of seyntis.

2 Si rallegri Israele in colui che lo ha fatto, esultino i figliuoli di Sion nel loro re.

Israel be glad in hym that made hym; and the douytris of Syon make ful out ioye in her king.

3 Lodino il suo nome con danze, gli salmeggino col timpano e la cetra,

Herie thei his name in a queer; seie thei salm to hym in a tympan, and sautre.

4 perché l’Eterno prende piacere nel suo popolo, egli adorna di salvezza gli umili.

For the Lord is wel plesid in his puple; and he hath reisid mylde men in to heelthe.

5 Esultino i fedeli adorni di gloria, cantino di gioia sui loro letti.

Seyntis schulen make ful out ioye in glorie; thei schulen be glad in her beddis.

6 Abbiano in bocca le alte lodi di Dio, una spada a due tagli in mano

7 per far vendetta delle nazioni e infligger castighi ai popoli;

To do veniaunce in naciouns; blamyngis in puplis.

8 per legare i loro re con catene e i loro nobili con ceppi di ferro,

To bynde the kyngis of hem in stockis; and the noble men of hem in yrun manaclis.

9 per eseguir su loro il giudizio scritto. Questo è l’onore che hanno tutti i suoi fedeli. Alleluia.
