All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. He said, "For I will go down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) to my son, mourning." His father wept for him.

He said, "My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left. If harm happens to him along the way in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol (Sheol h7585)."
e se mi togliete anche questo, e se gli avviene qualche disgrazia, voi farete scendere con dolore la mia canizie nel soggiorno de’ morti. (Sheol h7585)
If you take this one also from me, and harm happens to him, you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol (Sheol h7585).'
avverrà che, come avrà veduto che il fanciullo non c’è, egli morrà; e i tuoi servitori avranno fatto scendere con cordoglio la canizie del tuo servitore nostro padre nel soggiorno de’ morti. (Sheol h7585)
it will happen, when he sees that the boy is no more, that he will die. Your servants will bring down the gray hairs of your servant, our father, with sorrow to Sheol (Sheol h7585).
ma se l’Eterno fa una cosa nuova, se la terra apre la sua bocca e li ingoia con tutto quello che appartiene loro e s’essi scendono vivi nel soggiorno de’ morti, allora riconoscerete che questi uomini hanno disprezzato l’Eterno”. (Sheol h7585)
But if the LORD makes a new thing, and the ground opens its mouth, and swallows them up with all that belong to them, and they go down alive into Sheol (Sheol h7585), then you shall understand that these men have despised the LORD."
E scesero vivi nel soggiorno de’ morti; la terra si richiuse su loro, ed essi scomparvero di mezzo all’assemblea. (Sheol h7585)
So they, and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol (Sheol h7585). The earth closed on them, and they perished from among the assembly.

For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol (Sheol h7585), devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.

Do therefore according to your wisdom, and do not let his gray head go down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) in peace.

As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) will come up no more.

They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol (Sheol h7585). What can you know?

"The Lord GOD says: 'In the day when he went down to Sheol (Sheol h7585), I caused a mourning. I covered the deep for him, and I restrained its rivers. The great waters were stopped. I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.

The strong among the mighty will speak to him out of the middle of Sheol (Sheol h7585) with those who help him. They have gone down. The uncircumcised lie still, slain by the sword.

They will not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who have gone down to Sheol (Sheol h7585) with their weapons of war and have laid their swords under their heads. Their iniquities are on their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' will be in danger of the council. Whoever says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna (Geenna g1067).

If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna (Geenna g1067).
E se la tua man destra ti fa cadere in peccato, mozzala e gettala via da te; poiché val meglio per te che uno dei tuoi membri perisca, e non vada l’intero tuo corpo nella geenna. (Geenna g1067)
If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna (Geenna g1067).
E non temete coloro che uccidono il corpo, ma non possono uccider l’anima; temete piuttosto colui che può far perire e l’anima e il corpo nella geenna. (Geenna g1067)
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna (Geenna g1067).
E tu, o Capernaum, sarai tu forse innalzata fino al cielo? No, tu scenderai fino nell’Ades. Perché se in Sodoma fossero state fatte le opere potenti compiute in te, ella sarebbe durata fino ad oggi. (Hadēs g86)
You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will go down to Hades (Hadēs g86). For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until today.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the consummation of the age (aiōn g165), and the reapers are angels.

As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the consummation of this age (aiōn g165).

So it will be in the consummation of the age (aiōn g165). The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous,
E io altresì ti dico: Tu sei Pietro, e su questa pietra edificherò la mia Chiesa, e le porte dell’Ades non la potranno vincere. (Hadēs g86)
I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades (Hadēs g86) will not prevail against it.

If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the consummate (aiōnios g166) fire.
E se l’occhio tuo t’è occasion di peccato, cavalo e gettalo via da te; meglio è per te l’entrar nella vita con un occhio solo, che l’aver due occhi ed esser gettato nella geenna del fuoco. (Geenna g1067)
If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna (Geenna g1067) of fire.

Behold, one came to him and said, "Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have consummate (aiōnios g166) life?"
E chiunque avrà lasciato case, o fratelli, o sorelle, o padre, o madre, o figliuoli, o campi per amor del mio nome, ne riceverà cento volte tanti, ed erederà la vita eterna. (aiōnios g166)
Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
E vedendo un fico sulla strada, gli si accostò, ma non vi trovò altro che delle foglie; e gli disse: Mai più in eterno non nasca frutto da te. E subito il fico si seccò. (aiōn g165)

If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out. It is better for you to enter into God's Kingdom with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna (Geenna g1067) of fire,
Or com’egli usciva per mettersi in cammino, un tale accorse e inginocchiatosi davanti a lui, gli domandò: Maestro buono, che farò io per ereditare la vita eterna? (aiōnios g166)
As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit consummate (aiōnios g166) life?"

Then the Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, 'If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death in this age (aiōn g165).'
Da che mondo è mondo non s’è mai udito che uno abbia aperto gli occhi ad un cieco nato. (aiōn g165)
From the age (aiōn g165) it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.
e chiunque vive e crede in me, non morrà mai. Credi tu questo? (aiōn g165)
Whoever lives and believes in me will never die in this age (aiōn g165). Do you believe this?"

He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it for consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
La moltitudine quindi gli rispose: Noi abbiamo udito dalla legge che il Cristo dimora in eterno: come dunque dici tu che bisogna che il Figliuolo dell’uomo sia innalzato? Chi è questo Figliuol dell’uomo? (aiōn g165)
The multitude answered him, "We have heard from of the law that the Christ remains for this age (aiōn g165). How do you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up?' Who is this Son of Man?"

Peter said to him, "You will never wash my feet in this lifetime (aiōn g165)!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with me."

I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you in this age (aiōn g165):

even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give consummate (aiōnios g166) life to all whom you have given him.

This is consummate (aiōnios g166) life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages (aiōnios g166),

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age (aiōn g165)? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
Nondimeno fra quelli che son maturi noi esponiamo una sapienza, una sapienza però non di questo secolo né de’ principi di questo secolo che stan per essere annientati, (aiōn g165)
ma esponiamo la sapienza di Dio misteriosa ed occulta che Dio avea innanzi i secoli predestinata a nostra gloria, (aiōn g165)
But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the ages (aiōn g165) for our glory,
e che nessuno de’ principi di questo mondo ha conosciuta; perché, se l’avessero conosciuta, non avrebbero crocifisso il Signore della gloria. (aiōn g165)
which none of the rulers of this age (aiōn g165) has known. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Nessuno s’inganni. Se qualcuno fra voi s’immagina d’esser savio in questo secolo, diventi pazzo affinché diventi savio; (aiōn g165)
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this age (aiōn g165), let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
Perciò, se un cibo scandalizza il mio fratello, io non mangerò mai più carne, per non scandalizzare il mio fratello. (aiōn g165)
Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat for this age (aiōn g165), that I do not cause my brother to stumble.

Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages (aiōn g165) have come.

For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly a consummate (aiōnios g166) weight of glory,

For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, consummate (aiōnios g166), in the heavens.

in which you once walked according to the course of this age (aiōn g165), according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience.
per mostrare nelle età a venire l’immensa ricchezza della sua grazia, nella benignità ch’Egli ha avuta per noi in Cristo Gesù. (aiōn g165)
that in the ages (aiōn g165) to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;
e di manifestare a tutti quale sia il piano seguito da Dio riguardo al mistero che è stato fin dalle più remote età nascosto in Dio, il creatore di tutte le cose, (aiōn g165)
and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages (aiōn g165) has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ,
