1 Salomone cominciò a costruire la casa dell’Eterno a Gerusalemme, sul monte Moriah, dove l’Eterno era apparso a Davide suo padre, nel luogo che Davide aveva preparato, nell’aia di Ornan, il Gebuseo.
And he began Solomon to build [the] house of Yahweh in Jerusalem on [the] mountain of Moriah where he had appeared to David father his which he had prepared in [the] place of David on [the] threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2 Egli cominciò la costruzione il secondo giorno del secondo mese del quarto anno del suo regno.
And he began to build in the month second on the second [day] in year four of reign his.
3 Or queste son le misure dei fondamenti gettati da Salomone per la costruzione della casa di Dio. La lunghezza, in cubiti dell’antica misura, era di sessanta cubiti; la larghezza, di venti cubiti.
And these [are] [the] founding of Solomon to build [the] house of God the length cubits by the measurement former [was] cubits sixty and [the] breadth [was] cubits twenty.
4 Il portico, sul davanti della casa, avea venti cubiti di lunghezza, rispondenti alla larghezza della casa, e centoventi d’altezza. Salomone ricopri d’oro finissimo l’interno della casa.
And the porch which [was] on [the] face of the length on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] cubits twenty and the height [was] one hundred and twenty and he overlaid it from within gold pure.
5 Egli ricoprì la casa maggiore di legno di cipresso, poi la rivestì d’oro finissimo e vi fece scolpire delle palme e delle catenelle.
And - the house great he overlaid wood of cypresses and he overlaid it gold fine and he put up on it palm trees and chains.
6 Rivestì questa casa di pietre preziose, per ornamento; e l’oro era di quello di Parvaim.
And he overlaid the house stone[s] precious for beauty and the gold [was] [the] gold of Parvaim.
7 Rivestì pure d’oro la casa, le travi, gli stipiti, le pareti e le porte; e sulle pareti fece dei cherubini d’intaglio.
And he overlaid the house the beams the thresholds and walls its and doors its gold and he engraved cherubim on the walls.
8 E costruì il luogo santissimo. Esso avea venti cubiti di lunghezza, corrispondenti alla larghezza della casa, e venti cubiti di larghezza. Lo ricoprì d’oro finissimo, del valore di seicento talenti;
And he made [the] house of [the] holy place of the holy places length its on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] cubits twenty and breadth its [was] cubits twenty and he overlaid it gold fine to talents six hundred.
9 e il peso dell’oro per i chiodi ascendeva a cinquanta sicli. Rivestì anche d’oro le camere superiori.
And [the] weight of nails to shekels fifty gold and the upper rooms he overlaid gold.
10 Nel luogo santissimo fece scolpire due statue di cherubini, che furono ricoperti d’oro.
And he made in [the] house of [the] holy place of the holy places cherubim two a work of castings and they overlaid them gold.
11 Le ali dei cherubini aveano venti cubiti di lunghezza. L’ala del primo, lunga cinque cubiti, toccava la parete della casa; l’altra ala, pure di cinque cubiti, toccava l’ala del secondo cherubino.
And [the] wings of the cherubim length their [was] cubits twenty [the] wing of the one [cherub] to cubits five [was] touching [the] wall of the house and the wing other cubits five [was] touching [the] wing of the cherub other.
12 L’ala del secondo cherubino, lunga cinque cubiti, toccava la parete della casa; l’altra ala, pure di cinque cubiti, arrivava all’ala dell’altro cherubino.
And [the] wing of the cherub one cubits five [was] touching [the] wall of the house and the wing other cubits five [was] clinging to [the] wing of the cherub other.
13 Le ali di questi cherubini, spiegate, misuravano venti cubiti. Essi stavano ritti in piè, e aveano le facce vòlte verso la sala.
[the] wings of The cherubim these [were] spreading out cubits twenty and they [were] standing on feet their and faces their [were] to the inside.
14 E fece il velo di filo violaceo, porporino, scarlatto e di bisso, e vi fece ricamare dei cherubini.
And he made the curtain violet and purple and crimson and fine linen and he put up on it cherubim.
15 Fece pure davanti alla casa due colonne di trentacinque cubiti d’altezza; e il capitello in cima a ciascuna, era di cinque cubiti.
And he made before the house pillars two cubits thirty and five length and the capital which [was] on top its [was] cubits five.
16 E fece delle catenelle, come quelle che erano nel santuario, e le pose in cima alle colonne; e fece cento melagrane, che sospese alle catenelle.
And he made chains in the innermost room and he put [them] on [the] top of the pillars and he made pomegranates one hundred and he put [them] on the chains.
17 E rizzò le colonne dinanzi al tempio: una a destra e l’altra a sinistra; e chiamò quella di destra Jakin, e quella di sinistra Boaz.
And he set up the pillars on [the] face the temple one from [the] south and one from the north and he called [the] name of (the south [one] *Q(K)*) Jakin and [the] name of the north [one] Boaz.
