Romani 10
1 FRATELLI, l'affezion del mio cuore, e la preghiera [che io fo] a Dio per Israele, è a [sua] salute.
Britheren, the wille of myn herte and mi biseching is maad to God for hem in to helthe.
2 Perciocchè io rendo loro testimonianza che hanno lo zelo di Dio, ma non secondo conoscenza.
But Y bere witnessyng to hem, that thei han loue of God, but not aftir kunnyng.
3 Poichè, ignorando la giustizia di Dio, e cercando di stabilir la lor propria giustizia, non si sono sottoposti alla giustizia di Dio.
For thei vnknowynge Goddis riytwisnesse, and sekynge to make stidefast her owne riytfulnesse, ben not suget to the riytwisnesse of God.
4 Perciocchè il fin della legge [è] Cristo, in giustizia ad ogni credente.
For the ende of the lawe is Crist, to riytwisnesse to ech man that bileueth.
5 Poichè Mosè descrive [così] la giustizia che [è] per la legge: Che l'uomo, che avrà fatte quelle cose, vivrà per esse.
For Moises wroot, For the man that schal do riytwisnesse that is of the lawe, schal lyue in it.
6 Ma la giustizia, che [è] per la fede, dice così: Non dir nel cuor tuo: Chi salirà in cielo? Quest'è trarre Cristo a basso.
But the riytwisnesse that is of bileue, seith thus, Seie thou not in thin herte, Who schal stie in to heuene? that is to seie, to lede doun Crist;
or who schal go doun in to helle? that is, to ayenclepe Crist fro deth. (Abyssos g12)
8 Ma, che dice ella? La parola è presso di te, nella tua bocca, e nel tuo cuore. Quest'è la parola della fede, la qual noi predichiamo.
But what seith the scripture? The word is nyy in thi mouth, and in thin herte; this is the word of bileue, which we prechen.
9 Che se tu confessi con la tua bocca il Signore Gesù, e credi nel tuo cuore che Iddio l'ha risuscitato da' morti, sarai salvato.
That if thou knoulechist in thi mouth the Lord Jhesu Crist, and bileuest in thin herte, that God reiside hym fro deth, thou schalt be saaf.
10 Poichè col cuore si crede a giustizia, e con la bocca si fa confessione a salute.
For bi herte me bileueth to riytwisnesse, but bi mouth knowleching is maad to helthe.
11 Perciocchè la scrittura dice: Chiunque crede in lui non sarà svergognato.
For whi the scripture seith, Ech that bileueth in hym, schal not be confoundid.
12 Poichè non vi è distinzione di Giudeo, e di Greco; perciocchè uno stesso [è] il Signor di tutti, ricco inverso tutti quelli che l'invocano.
And ther is no distinccioun of Jew and of Greke; for the same Lord of alle is riche in alle, that inwardli clepen hym.
13 Imperocchè, chiunque avrà invocato il nome del Signore, sarà salvato.
For ech man `who euere schal inwardli clepe the name of the Lord, schal be saaf.
14 Come adunque invocheranno essi colui, nel quale non hanno creduto? e come crederanno in colui, del quale non hanno udito [parlare?] e come udiranno, se non v'è chi predichi?
Hou thanne schulen thei inwardli clepe hym, in to whom thei han not bileued? or hou schulen thei bileue to hym, whom thei han not herd? Hou schulen thei here, with outen a prechour?
15 E come predicherà altri, se non è mandato? Siccome è scritto: Quanto [son] belli i piedi di coloro che evangelizzano la pace, che evangelizzano le cose buone!
and hou schulen thei preche, but thei be sent? As it is writun, Hou faire ben the feet of hem that prechen pees, of hem that prechen good thingis.
16 Ma tutti non hanno ubbidito all'evangelo; perciocchè Isaia dice: Signore, chi ha creduto alla nostra predicazione?
But not alle men obeien to the gospel. For Ysaie seith, Lord, who bileuede to oure heryng?
17 La fede adunque [è] dall'udito, e l'udito [è] per la parola di Dio.
Therfor feith is of heryng, but heryng bi the word of Crist.
18 Ma io dico: Non hanno eglino udito? Anzi, il lor suono è uscito per tutta la terra; e le lor parole fino agli estremi termini del mondo.
But Y seie, Whether thei herden not? Yhis, sothely the word of hem wente out in to al the erthe, and her wordis in to the endis of the world.
19 Ma io dico: Israele non ha egli avuto alcun conoscimento? Mosè dice il primo: Io vi moverò a gelosia per [una nazione che] non [è] nazione; io vi provocherò a sdegno per una gente stolta.
But Y seie, Whether Israel knewe not? First Moyses seith, Y schal lede you to enuye, that ye ben no folc; that ye ben an vnwise folc, Y schal sende you in to wraththe.
20 E Isaia arditamente dice: Io sono stato trovato da coloro che non mi cercavano; son chiaramente apparito a coloro che non mi domandavano.
And Ysaie is bold, and seith, Y am foundun of men that seken me not; opynli Y apperide to hem, that axiden not me.
21 Ma, intorno ad Israele, dice: Io ho tutto il dì stese le mani verso un popolo disubbidiente e contradicente.
But to Israel he seith, Al dai Y streiyte out myn hondis to a puple that bileuede not, but ayen seide me.
