Salmi 111

1 ALLELUIA. Io celebrerò il Signore con tutto il cuore, Nel consiglio, e nella raunanza degli [uomini] diritti.

Praise ye Jah! I thank Jehovah with the whole heart, In the secret meeting of the upright, And of the company.

2 Grandi [son] le opere del Signore, Spiegate davanti a tutti quelli che si dilettano in esse.

Great [are] the works of Jehovah, Sought out by all desiring them.

3 Le sue opere [son] gloria e magnificenza; E la sua giustizia dimora in eterno.

Honourable and majestic is His work, And His righteousness is standing for ever.

4 Egli ha rendute memorabili le sue maraviglie; Il Signore [è] grazioso e pietoso.

A memorial He hath made of His wonders, Gracious and merciful [is] Jehovah.

5 Egli dà da vivere a quelli che lo temono; Egli si ricorda in eterno del suo patto.

Prey He hath given to those fearing Him, He remembereth to the age His covenant.

6 Egli ha dichiarata al suo popolo la potenza delle sue opere, Dandogli l'eredità delle genti.

The power of His works He hath declared to His people, To give to them the inheritance of nations.

7 Le opere delle sue mani [son] verità e dirittura; Tutti i suoi comandamenti [son] veraci;

The works of His hands [are] true and just, Stedfast [are] all His appointments.

8 Stabili in sempiterno, Fatti con verità, e con dirittura.

They are sustained for ever to the age. They are made in truth and uprightness.

9 Egli ha mandata la redenzione al suo popolo; Egli ha ordinato il suo patto in eterno; Il suo Nome [è] santo e tremendo.

Redemption He hath sent to His people, He hath appointed to the age His covenant, Holy and fearful [is] His name.

10 Il principio della sapienza [è] il timor del Signore; Ogni [uomo] che mette in opera i suoi comandamenti, ha buon senno; La sua lode dimora in perpetuo.

The beginning of wisdom [is] fear of Jehovah, Good understanding have all doing them, His praise [is] standing for ever!
