Michea 1
1 LA parola del Signore, che fu [indirizzata] a Michea Morastita, a' dì di Giotam, di Achaz, [e] di Ezechia, re di Giuda, la quale gli fu rivelata in visione, contro a Samaria, e contro a Gerusalemme.
And the word of the Lord came to Michaeas the son of Morasthi, in the days of Joatham, and Achaz, and Ezekias, kings of Juda, concerning what he saw regarding Samaria and Jerusalem.
2 O POPOLI tutti, ascoltate; sii attenta, o terra, con tutto ciò ch'è in te; e il Signore Iddio sarà testimonio contro a voi; il Signore, [dico], dal Tempio della sua santità.
Hear [these] words, ye people; and let the earth give heed, and all that are in it: and the Lord God shall be among you for a testimony, the Lord out of his holy habitation.
3 Perciocchè, ecco, il Signore esce del suo luogo, e scenderà, e camminerà sopra gli alti luoghi della terra.
For, behold, the Lord comes forth out of his place, and will come down, and will go upon the high places of the earth.
4 E i monti si struggeranno sotto lui, e le valli si schianteranno; come la cera [si strugge] al fuoco, come le acque si spandono per una pendice.
And the mountains shall be shaken under him, and the valleys shall melt like wax before the fire, and as water rushing down a declivity.
5 Tutto questo [avverrà] per lo misfatto di Giacobbe, e per li peccati della casa d'Israele. Quale [è] il misfatto di Giacobbe? non [è] egli Samaria? E [quali sono] gli alti luoghi di Giuda? non [sono] eglino Gerusalemme?
All these [calamities are] for the transgression of Jacob, and for the sin of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? [is it] not Samaria? and what is the sin of the house of Juda? [is it] not Jerusalem?
6 Perciò, io ridurrò Samaria in un luogo desolato di campagna da piantar vigne; e verserò le sue pietre nella valle, e scoprirò i suoi fondamenti.
Therefore I will make Samaria [as] a store-house of the fruits of the field, and [as] a planting of a vineyard: and I will utterly demolish her stones, and I will expose her foundations.
7 E tutte le sue sculture saranno tritate, e tutti i suoi premii di fornicazioni saranno arsi col fuoco, ed io metterò in desolazione tutti i suoi idoli; perciocchè ella ha adunate [quelle cose] di prezzo di meretrice, torneranno altresì [ad esser] prezzo di meretrice.
And they shall cut in pieces all the graven images, and all that she has hired they shall burn with fire, and I will utterly destroy all her idols: because she has gathered of the hires of fornication, and of the hires of fornication has she amassed [wealth].
8 Perciò, io lamenterò, ed urlerò; io andrò spogliato e nudo; io farò un lamento, [gridando] come gli sciacalli; e un cordoglio, [urlando] come l'ulule.
Therefore shall she lament and wail, she shall go barefooted, and [being] naked she shall make lamentation as [that] of serpents, and mourning as of the daughters of sirens.
9 Perciocchè le piaghe di essa [sono] insanabili; perciocchè son pervenute fino a Giuda, son giunte fino alla porta del mio popolo, fino a Gerusalemme.
For her plague has become grievous; for it has come even to Juda; and has reached to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
10 Non l'annunziate in Gat, non piangete punto; io mi son voltolato nella polvere a Bet-Leafra.
Ye that are in Geth, exalt not yourselves, and ye Enakim, do not rebuild from [the ruins of] the house in derision: sprinkle dust [in the place of] your laughter.
11 Passatene, o abitatrice di Safir, con le vergogne nude; l'abitatrice di Saanan non è uscita; la casa di Bet-haesel [è piena di] lamento; egli ha tolta da voi la sua difesa.
The inhabitant of Sennaar, fairly inhabiting her cities, came not forth to mourn for the house next to her: she shall receive of you the stroke of grief.
12 Perciocchè l'abitatrice di Marot è dolente per li [suoi] beni; perciocchè il male è sceso da parte del Signore, fino alla porta di Gerusalemme.
Who has begun [to act] for good to her that dwells in sorrow? for calamities have come down from the Lord upon the gates of Jerusalem,
13 Metti i corsieri al carro, o abitatrice di Lachis; ella [è stata] il principio di peccato alla figliuola di Sion; conciossiachè in te si sieno trovati i misfatti d'Israele.
[even] a sound of chariots and horsemen: the inhabitants of Lachis, she is the leader of sin to the daughter of Sion: for in thee were found the transgressions of Israel.
14 Perciò, manda pur presenti a Moreset-Gat; le case di Aczib [saranno] fallaci ai re d'Israele.
Therefore shall he cause men to be sent forth as far as the inheritance of Geth, [even] vain houses; they are become vanity to the kings of Israel;
15 Ancora ti addurrò un erede, o abitatrice di Maresa; egli perverrà fino ad Adullam, [fino alla] gloria d'Israele.
until they bring the heirs, O inhabitant of Lachis: the inheritance shall reach to Odollam, [even] the glory of the daughter of Israel.
16 Dipelati, e tosati, per li figliuoli delle tue delizie; allarga la tua calvezza, come un'aquila; perciocchè quelli sono stati menati via da te in cattività.
Shave thine hair, and make thyself bald for thy delicate children; increase thy widowhood as an eagle; for [thy people] are gone into captivity from thee.
