Giuda 1
1 GIUDA, servitore di Gesù Cristo, e fratello di Giacomo, a' chiamati, santificati in Dio Padre, e conservati in Cristo Gesù;
Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are sanctified in God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2 misericordia, pace, e carità, vi sia moltiplicata.
mercy be to you, and peace and love be multiplied.
3 DILETTI, poichè io pongo ogni studio in iscrivervi della comune salute, mi è stato necessario scrivervi, per esortarvi di proseguire a combattere per la fede che è stata una volta insegnata a' santi.
Beloved, using all diligence to write to you of the common salvation, I thought it necessary to write to you, and exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.
4 Perciocchè son sottentrati certi uomini, i quali già innanzi ab antico sono stati scritti a questa condannazione; empi, i quali rivolgono la grazia dell'Iddio nostro a lascivia, e negano il solo Dio e Padrone, il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo.
For some men have stealthily entered in, who were long ago appointed to this condemnation; ungodly men, who pervert the grace of our God, and use it for lascivious purposes, and deny our only Sovereign and Lord, Jesus Christ.
5 Or io voglio ricordar [questo] a voi, che avete saputo una volta questo: che il Signore, avendo salvato il [suo] popolo dal paese di Egitto, poi appresso distrusse quelli che non credettero.
But I wish to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people from the land of Egypt, then destroyed those who believed not.
6 Ed ha messi in guardia sotto caligine, con legami eterni, per il giudicio del gran giorno, gli angeli che non hanno guardata la loro origine, ma hanno lasciata la lor propria stanza. (aïdios g126)
The angels also that kept not their own dominion, but left their proper habitation, he has reserved, in eternal chains under darkness, to the judgment of the great day. (aïdios g126)
7 Come Sodoma e Gomorra, e le città d'intorno, avendo fornicato nelle medesima maniera che costoro, ed essendo andate dietro ad altra carne, sono state proposte per esempio, portando la pena dell'eterno fuoco. (aiōnios g166)
So Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities which were about them, in like manner giving themselves over to lewdness, and following after other flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire. (aiōnios g166)
8 E pur simigliantemente ancora costoro, trasognati, contaminano la carne, e sprezzano le signorie, e dicon male delle dignità.
Yet, these dreamers also in like manner defile the flesh, despise government, and speak evil of dignitaries.
9 Là dove l'arcangelo Michele, quando, contendendo col diavolo, disputava intorno al corpo di Mosè, non ardì lanciar contro a lui sentenza di maldicenza; anzi disse: Sgriditi il Signore.
But Michael the archangel, when, contending with the devil, he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring a railing accusation, but said: The Lord rebuke you.
10 Ma costoro dicon male di tutte le cose che ignorano; e si corrompono in tutte quelle, le quali, come gli animali senza ragione, naturalmente sanno.
But these speak evil of the things which they know not: and those things which they know naturally, as animals without reason, in these they corrupt themselves.
11 Guai a loro! perciocchè son camminati per la via di Caino, e si son lasciati trasportare per l'inganno del premio di Balaam, e son periti per la ribellione di Core.
Alas for them! for they have gone in the way of Cain: and, in the error of Balaam, they have rushed headlong after reward, and have perished in the rebellion of Korah.
12 Costoro son macchie ne' vostri pasti di carità, mentre sono a tavola [con voi], pascendo loro stessi senza riverenza; nuvole senz'acqua, sospinte qua e là da' venti; alberi appassati, sterili, due volte morti, diradicati;
These, while feasting with you, are spots in your lovefeasts, feeding themselves without fear; they are clouds without water, driven along by winds; trees of autumn, without fruit, twice dead, torn up by the roots:
13 fiere onde del mare, schiumanti le lor brutture; stelle erranti, a cui è riserbata la caligine delle tenebre in eterno. (aiōn g165)
raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame: wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness is reserved forever. (aiōn g165)
14 Or a tali ancora profetizzò Enoc, settimo da Adamo, dicendo: Ecco, il Signore è venuto con le sue sante migliaia;
And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied with reference to these men, saying: Behold, the Lord comes with his holy myriads,
15 per far giudicio contro a tutti, ed arguire tutti gli empi d'infra loro, di tutte le opere d'empietà, che hanno commesse; e di tutte le cose felle, che hanno proferite contro a lui gli empi peccatori.
to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly works, which they have impiously committed, and of all the hard words which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 Costoro son mormoratori, querimoniosi, camminando secondo le loro concupiscenze; e la lor bocca proferisce cose sopra modo gonfie, ammirando le persone per l'utilità.
These are murmurers, fault-finders, walking according to their own desires; and their mouth speaks boastful words, while they admire persons for the sake of gain.
17 Ma voi, diletti, ricordatevi delle parole predette dagli apostoli del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo;
But do you, beloved, remember the words that were formerly spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 come vi dicevano, che nell'ultimo tempo vi sarebbero degli schernitori; i quali camminerebbero secondo le concupiscenze delle loro empietà.
that they said to you, There should come, in the last days, scoffers walking according to their own ungodly desires.
19 Costoro son quelli che separano sè stessi, [essendo] sensuali, non avendo lo Spirito.
These are they who separate themselves, animal, not having the Spirit.
20 Ma voi, diletti, edificando voi stessi sopra la vostra santissima fede, orando per lo Spirito Santo,
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 conservatevi nell'amor di Dio, aspettando la misericordia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, a vita eterna. (aiōnios g166)
keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, in order to eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
22 Ed abbiate compassione degli uni, usando discrezione;
And on some, have compassion, making a distinction:
23 ma salvate gli altri per ispavento, rapendo[li] dal fuoco; odiando eziandio la vesta macchiata dalla carne.
and others, save by fear, snatching them from the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Or a colui che è potente da conservarvi senza intoppo, e far[vi] comparir davanti alla gloria sua irreprensibili, con giubilo;
Now to him that is able to keep you free from stumbling, and to present you blameless in the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
