Giosué 23
1 ORA, lungo tempo appresso che il Signore ebbe dato riposo a Israele da tutti i suoi nemici d'ogn'intorno, Giosuè, essendo vecchio [ed] attempato,
And it was from days many after that he had given rest Yahweh to Israel from all enemies their from round about and Joshua he was old he had come in days.
2 chiamò tutto Israele, gli Anziani, e i Capi, e i Giudici, e gli Ufficiali di esso, e disse loro: Io sono omai vecchio [ed] attempato;
And he summoned Joshua all Israel elders its and leaders its and judges its and officials its and he said to them I I am old I have come in days.
3 e voi avete veduto tutto ciò che il Signore Iddio vostro ha fatto a tutte queste genti per cagion vostra; conciossiachè il Signore Iddio vostro [sia] quel che ha combattuto per voi.
And you you have seen all that he has done Yahweh God your to all the nations these from before you for Yahweh God your he [is] the [one who] has been fighting for you.
4 Ecco, io vi ho spartito a sorte, per eredità, secondo le vostre tribù, [il paese di] queste genti che restano, insieme col [paese di] tutte quelle che io ho sterminate, [cioè] dal Giordano, [infino] al mar grande, verso il Ponente.
See I have made fall to you the nations which remain these an inheritance for tribes your from the Jordan and all the nations which I have cut off and the sea great [the] setting of the sun.
5 E il Signore Iddio vostro disperderà quelle dal vostro cospetto, e le scaccerà d'innanzi a voi; e voi possederete il lor paese, come il Signore Iddio vostro ve ne ha parlato.
And Yahweh God your he he will drive out them from before you and he will dispossess them from to before you and you will take possession of land their just as he spoke Yahweh God your to you.
6 Perciò, fortificatevi vie più, per osservare, e per fare tutto quello che è scritto nel Libro della Legge di Mosè; acciocchè non ve ne rivolgiate nè a destra nè a sinistra;
And you will be strong very to take care and to do every [thing] written in [the] book of [the] law of Moses to not to turn aside from it right [hand] and left [hand].
7 [e] non entriate da queste genti che restano appresso di voi, e non ricordiate il nome de' loro dii, e non li usiate in giuramenti, e non serviate loro, e non li adoriate.
To not to go among the nations these which remain these with you and [the] name of gods their not you must bring to remembrance and not you must cause to swear and not you must serve them and not you must bow down to them.
8 Anzi vi atteniate al Signore Iddio vostro, come avete fatto infino ad oggi.
That except to Yahweh God your you will cling just as you have done until the day this.
9 Onde il Signore ha cacciate dal cospetto vostro delle nazioni grandi e potenti; e niuno è potuto starvi a fronte fino ad oggi.
And he has dispossessed Yahweh from before you nations great and mighty and you not he has stood anyone in faces your until the day this.
10 Un solo uomo d'infra voi ne perseguiterà mille; perciocchè il Signore Iddio vostro [è] quel che combatte per voi; come egli ve ne ha parlato.
A man one of you he puts to flight a thousand for - Yahweh God your he [is] the [one who] fights for you just as he spoke to you.
11 Prendetevi adunque diligentemente guardia, sopra le anime vostre, di amare il Signore Iddio vostro.
And you will take heed exceedingly to selves your to love Yahweh God your.
12 Perciocchè, se pur voi vi rivoltate, e vi congiungete col rimanente di queste genti, che son rimaste appresso di voi, e v'imparentate con loro, ed entrate da loro, ed esse entrano da voi,
That - except ever you will turn back and you will cling to [the] remainder of the nations these which remain these with you and you will intermarry with them and you will go among them and they among you.
13 sappiate di certo che il Signore Iddio vostro non continuerà di scacciar queste genti d'innanzi a voi; anzi esse vi saranno per laccio, ed intoppo, e flagello a' fianchi, e spine agli occhi, finchè periate d'in su questa buona terra, che il Signore Iddio vostro vi ha data.
Certainly you will know that not he will increase Yahweh God your to dispossess the nations these from to before you and they will become for you a trap and a snare and a scourge in sides your and thorns in view your until perish you from on the land good this which he has given to you Yahweh God your.
14 Or ecco, io me ne vo oggi per la via di tutta la terra; riconoscete adunque con tutto il cuor vostro, e con tutta l'anima vostra, che non pure una di tutte le buone parole che il Signore Iddio vostro vi avea dette, è caduta [in terra]; ogni cosa vi è avvenuta; non ne è caduta [in terra] una sola parola.
And here! I [am] about to go this day in [the] way of all the earth and you know with all heart your and with all being your that not it has fallen a word one of all - the words good which he spoke Yahweh God your on you everything they have come to you not it has fallen of it a word one.
15 Ma egli avverrà che, come ogni buona parola che il Signore Iddio vostro vi avea detta, vi è avvenuta, così il Signore farà venir sopra voi ogni malvagia parola, finchè vi abbia sterminati d'in su questa buona terra, la quale il Signore Iddio vostro vi ha data;
And it will be just as it has come on you every word good which he spoke Yahweh God your to you so he will bring Yahweh on you every word bad until has destroyed he you from on the land good this which he has given to you Yahweh God your.
16 se voi trasgredite il patto del Signore Iddio vostro, il quale egli vi ha comandato, e andate a servire ad altri dii, e li adorate. E l'ira del Signore si accenderà contro a voi, e perirete subitamente d'in su questa buona terra, la quale egli vi ha data.
When transgress you [the] covenant of Yahweh God your which he commanded you and you will go and you will serve gods other and you will bow down to them and it will burn [the] anger of Yahweh on you and you will perish quickly from on the land good which he has given to you.
