Geremia 33

1 E la parola del Signore fu [indirizzata] la seconda volta a Geremia, mentre egli [era] ancora rinchiuso nel cortile della prigione, dicendo:

Moreover, the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiah the second time (while he was yet shut vp in the court of prison) saying,

2 Così ha detto il Signore, che fa questa cosa; il Signore, che la forma, per istabilirla; il cui Nome [è: ] Il Signore:

Thus sayth the Lord, the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, and established it, the Lord is his Name.

3 Grida a me, ed io ti risponderò, e ti dichiarerò cose grandi, e riserbate, che tu non sai.

Call vnto me, and I will answere thee, and shewe thee great and mightie things, which thou knowest not.

4 Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signore Iddio d'Israele, delle case di questa città, e delle case del re di Giuda, che sono state diroccate per li terrapieni, e per le macchine;

For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, concerning the houses of this citie, and concerning the houses of the Kings of Iudah, which are destroyed by the mounts, and by the sword,

5 le quali sono state impiegate per combattere co' Caldei, e per empierle di corpi morti d'uomini; perciocchè io [li] ho percossi nella mia ira, e nel mio cruccio; e perchè io ho nascosta la mia faccia da questa città, per tutta la lor malvagità:

They come to fight with the Caldeans, but it is to fill themselues with the dead bodies of men, whome I haue slaine in mine anger and in my wrath: for I haue hid my face from this citie, because of all their wickednes.

6 Ecco, io ristorerò, e rifarò questa [città] e riparerò queste [case], e farò loro apparire abbondanza di pace, e di stabilità.

Behold, I will giue it health and amendment: for I wil cure them, and will reueile vnto them the abundance of peace, and trueth.

7 E ritrarrò di cattività Giuda ed Israele, e li riedificherò come [erano] prima;

And I wil cause the captiuitie of Iudah and the captiuitie of Israel to returne, and will build them as at the first.

8 e li purgherò di tutta la loro iniquità, per la quale hanno peccato contro a me; e perdonerò loro tutte le loro iniquità, per le quali hanno peccato contro a me; e per le quali hanno misfatto contro a me.

And I wil clense them from all their iniquitie, whereby they haue sinned against me: yea, I wil pardon all their iniquities, whereby they haue sinned against me, and whereby they haue rebelled against me.

9 E [questa città] mi sarà in nome di gioia, in lode, e in gloria appresso tutte le nazioni della terra, che udiranno tutto il bene che io farò loro; e saranno spaventate, e tremeranno per tutto il bene, e per tutta la pace, della quale io la farò godere.

And it shalbe to me a name, a ioy, a praise, and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall heare all ye good that I doe vnto them: and they shall feare and tremble for all the goodnes, and for all the wealth, that I shew vnto this citie.

10 Così ha detto il Signore: In questo luogo, del quale voi dite: Egli [è] deserto, e non [vi è più] nè uomo, nè bestia; nelle città di Giuda, e nelle piazze di Gerusalemme, che sono desolate, senza che [vi sia più] nè uomo, nè abitante, nè bestia;

Thus sayth the Lord, Againe there shalbe heard in this place (which ye say shalbe desolate, without man, and without beast, euen in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, that are desolate without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast)

11 ancora sarà udita voce di gioia, e voce di allegrezza; voce di sposo, e voce di sposa; voce di persone che diranno: Celebrate il Signor degli eserciti; perciocchè il Signore [è] buono; perciocchè la sua benignità [è] in eterno; porteranno offerte di lode alla Casa del Signore; perciocchè io trarrò di cattività il paese, [e lo rimetterò] nello stato ch'era prima, ha detto il Signore.

The voyce of ioy and the voyce of gladnes, the voyce of the bridegrome, and the voyce of the bride, the voyce of them that shall say, Prayse the Lord of hostes, because the Lord is good: for his mercy endureth for euer, and of them that offer the sacrifice of prayse in the House of the Lord, for I will cause to returne the captiuitie of the land, as at the first, sayth the Lord.

12 Così ha detto il Signor degli eserciti: In questo luogo, che è deserto, e dove non [vi sono più] nè uomini, nè bestie; e in tutte le sue città, vi saranno ancora mandre di pastori, che [vi] faranno posar le gregge.

Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Againe in this place, which is desolate, without man, and without beast, and in all the cities thereof there shall be dwelling for shepheards to rest their flockes.

13 Nelle città del monte, e nelle città del piano, e nelle città del Mezzodì, e nel paese di Beniamino, e ne' luoghi circonvicini di Gerusalemme, e nelle città di Giuda, le pecore passeranno ancora sotto la mano di colui che [le] conta, da detto il Signore.

In the cities of the mountaines, in the cities in the plaine, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Beniamin, and about Ierusalem, and in the cities of Iudah shall the sheepe passe againe, vnder the hand of him that telleth them, sayth the Lord.

14 Ecco, i giorni vengono, dice il Signore, che io metterò ad effetto la buona parola, che io ho pronunziata alla casa d'Israele, ed alla casa di Giuda.

Beholde, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that I wil performe that good thing, which I haue promised vnto the house of Israel, and to the house of Iudah.

15 In que' giorni, e in quel tempo, io farò germogliare a Davide il Germoglio di giustizia, il quale farà giudicio e giustizia nella terra.

In those dayes and at that time, wil I cause the branch of righteousnesse to growe vp vnto Dauid, and he shall execute iudgement, and righteousnes in the land.

16 In que' giorni Giuda sarà salvato, e Gerusalemme abiterà in sicurtà; e questo [è il nome], del quale ella si chiamerà: IL SIGNORE [È] LA NOSTRA GIUSTIZIA.

In those dayes shall Iudah be saued, and Ierusalem shall dwell safely, and hee that shall call her, is the Lord our righteousnesse.

17 Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signore: Giammai non verrà meno a Davide, uomo che segga sopra il trono della casa d'Israele;

For thus sayth the Lord, Dauid shall neuer want a man to sit vpon the throne of the house of Israel.

18 ed a' sacerdoti Leviti non verrà giammai meno nel mio cospetto, uomo che offerisca olocausto, e che faccia profumo d'offerta, e che faccia sacrificio tutti i giorni.

Neither shall the Priests and Leuites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to offer meat offerings, and to doe sacrifice continually.

19 La parola del Signore fu ancora [indirizzata] a Geremia, dicendo:

And the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiah, saying,

20 Così ha detto il Signore: Se voi potete annullare il mio patto intorno al giorno, e il mio patto intorno alla notte, sì che il giorno e la notte non sieno [più] al tempo loro;

Thus sayth the Lord, If you can breake my couenant of the day, and my couenant of the night, that there should not be day, and night in their season,

21 ei si potrà altresì annullare il mio patto con Davide, mio servitore, sì ch'egli non abbia [più] figliuolo che regni sopra il suo trono; e co' sacerdoti Leviti miei ministri.

Then may my couenant be broken with Dauid my seruant, that he should not haue a sonne to reigne vpon his throne, and with the Leuites, and Priests my ministers.

22 Perciocchè, come l'esercito del cielo non si può annoverare, e la rena del mare non si può misurare; così accrescerò la progenie di Davide, mio servitore, e i Leviti che fanno il servigio.

As the army of heauen can not be nombred, neither the sand of the sea measured: so wil I multiplie the seede of Dauid my seruant, and the Leuites, that minister vnto me.

23 La parola del Signore fu ancora [indirizzata] a Geremia, dicendo:

Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came to Ieremiah, saying,

24 Non hai tu posta mente a ciò che questo popolo ha pronunziato, dicendo: Il Signore ha riprovate le due nazioni, ch'egli avea elette? laonde sprezzano il mio popolo, [come] se non dovesse mai più esser nazione nel lor cospetto.

Considerest thou not what this people haue spoken, saying, The two families, which the Lord hath chosen, hee hath euen cast them off? thus they haue despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

25 Così ha detto il Signore: Se io non ho stabilito il mio patto intorno al giorno, ed alla notte, [e] gli statuti del cielo, e della terra;

Thus sayth the Lord, If my couenant be not with day and night, and if I haue not appointed the order of heauen and earth,

26 io altresì riproverò la progenie di Giacobbe, e di Davide, mio servitore; per non prender più del suo legnaggio persone che signoreggino sopra la progenie di Abrahamo, d'Isacco, e di Giacobbe; perciocchè io li ritrarrò di cattività, e avrò pietà di loro.

Then will I cast away the seede of Iaakob and Dauid my seruant, and not take of his seede to be rulers ouer the seede of Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob: for I wil cause their captiuitie to returne, and haue compassion on them.
