Geremia 28

1 OR avvenne in quello stesso anno, nel principio del regno di Sedechia, re di Giuda, nell'anno quarto, nel quinto mese, che Anania, figliuolo di Azzur, profeta, ch'[era] da Gabaon, mi parlò nella Casa del Signore, nel cospetto de' sacerdoti, e di tutto il popolo, dicendo:

And it comes to pass, in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah son of Azur the prophet, who [is] of Gibeon, has spoken to me in the house of YHWH, before the eyes of the priests, and all the people, saying,

2 Così ha detto il Signor degli eserciti, l'Iddio d'Israele: Io ho rotto il giogo del re di Babilonia.

“Thus spoke YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;

3 Infra lo spazio di due anni io farò riportare in questo luogo tutti gli arredi della Casa del Signore, che Nebucadnesar, re di Babilonia, ha tolti di questo luogo, ed ha portati in Babilonia.

within two years of days I am bringing back to this place all the vessels of the house of YHWH that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken from this place, and carries to Babylon,

4 Ed io ricondurrò, dice il Signore, in questo luogo, Geconia, figliuolo di Gioiachim, re di Giuda, e tutti que' di Giuda, che sono stati menati in cattività, e son venuti in Babilonia; perciocchè io romperò il giogo del re di Babilonia.

and Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the expulsion of Judah, who are entering Babylon, I am bringing back to this place—a declaration of YHWH; for I break the yoke of the king of Babylon.”

5 E il profeta Geremia rispose al profeta Anania, nel cospetto de' sacerdoti, e nel cospetto di tutto il popolo, ch'era presente nella Casa del Signore,

And Jeremiah the prophet says to Hananiah the prophet, before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people who are standing in the house of YHWH,

6 e disse: Amen; così faccia il Signore; il Signore metta ad effetto le tue parole, che tu hai profetizzate, facendo tornar di Babilonia in questo luogo gli arredi della Casa del Signore, e tutti quelli che sono stati menati in cattività.

indeed, Jeremiah the prophet says, “Amen! So may YHWH do; YHWH establish your words that you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the house of YHWH and all the expulsion from Babylon, to this place.

7 Ma pure, ascolta ora questa parola, la quale io pronunzio in presenza tua ed in presenza di tutto il popolo:

Only, please hear this word that I am speaking in your ears, and in the ears of all the people.

8 I profeti che sono stati davanti a me, e davanti a te, ab antico, han profetizzato contro a molti paesi, e contro a gran regni, di guerra, e di fame, e di pestilenza.

The prophets who have been before me, and before you, from of old, even they prophesy concerning many lands, and concerning great kingdoms, of battle, and of calamity, and of pestilence.

9 Quando la parola del profeta, che avrà profetizzato di pace, sarà avvenuta, egli sarà ricnosciuto [essere] il profeta che il Signore avrà mandato in verità.

The prophet who prophesies of peace, by the word of the prophet coming to pass, the prophet is known [as] one whom YHWH has truly sent.”

10 Ma il profeta Anania prese il giogo d'in sul collo del profeta Geremia, e lo ruppe.

And Hananiah the prophet takes the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and breaks it,

11 Ed Anania parlò nel cospetto di tutto il popolo, dicendo: Così ha detto il Signore: In questo modo romperò, infra lo spazio di due anni, il giogo di Nebucadnesar, re di Babilonia, d'in sul collo di tutte le nazioni. E il profeta Geremia se ne andò a suo cammino.

and Hananiah speaks before the eyes of all the people, saying, “Thus said YHWH: Thus I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, within two years of days, from off the neck of all the nations”; and Jeremiah the prophet goes on his way.

12 E la parola del Signore fu [indirizzata] a Geremia, dopo che il profeta Anania ebbe rotto il giogo d'in sul collo del profeta Geremia, dicendo:

And there is a word of YHWH to Jeremiah after the breaking, by Hananiah the prophet, of the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

13 Va', e parla ad Anania, dicendo: Così ha detto il Signore: Tu hai rotti i gioghi di legno; ma fattene, in luogo di quelli, degli altri di ferro.

“Go, and you have spoken to Hananiah, saying, Thus said YHWH: You have broken yokes of wood, and I have made yokes of iron instead of them.

14 Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signor degli eserciti, l'Iddio d'Israele: Io ho messo un giogo di ferro in sul collo di tutte queste nazioni; acciocchè servano a Nebucadnesar, re di Babilonia; e gli serviranno; gli ho eziandio dato fino alle fiere della campagna.

For thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they have served him, and I have also given the beast of the field to him.”

15 Poi il profeta Geremia disse al profeta Anania: Deh! ascolta, o Anania: Il Signore non ti ha mandato, e tu hai fatto confidar questo popolo in menzogna.

And Jeremiah the prophet says to Hananiah the prophet, “Now hear, O Hananiah; YHWH has not sent you, and you have caused this people to trust on falsehood.

16 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore: Ecco, io ti scaccio d'in su la faccia della terra; quest'anno tu morrai; perchè tu hai parlato di ribellione contro al Signore.

Therefore, thus said YHWH: Behold, I am casting you from off the face of the ground; you die this year, for you have spoken apostasy concerning YHWH.”

17 E il profeta Anania morì quello stesso anno, nel settimo mese.

And Hananiah the prophet dies in that year, in the seventh month.
