Ezechiele 34
1 LA parola del Signore mi fu ancora [indirizzata], dicendo:
And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,
2 Figliuol d'uomo, profetizza contro ai pastori d'Israele; profetizza, e di' a quei pastori: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Guai a' pastori d'Israele, che si son pasciuti loro stessi! non [è] la greggia quella che i pastori debbono pascere?
'Son of man, prophesy concerning shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and thou hast said unto them: To the shepherds, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Woe [to] the shepherds of Israel, Who have been feeding themselves! The flock do not the shepherds feed?
3 Voi mangiate il grasso, e vi vestite della lana; voi ammazzate la [pecora] grassa, voi non pascete la greggia.
The fat ye do eat, and the wool ye put on, The fed one ye slaughter, the flock ye feed not.
4 Voi non avete confortate le inferme, e non avete medicate le malate, e non avete fasciate le fiaccate, e non avete ricondotte le smarrite, e non avete ricercate le perdute; e le avete signoreggiate per forza, e con asprezza.
The weak ye have not strengthened, And the sick one ye have not healed, And the broken ye have not bound up, And the driven away have not brought back, And the lost ye have not sought, And with might ye have ruled them and with rigour.
5 Ed esse sono state disperse, per mancamento di pastore, e sono state per pasto a tutte le fiere della campagna, e sono state dissipate.
And they are scattered from want of a shepherd, And are for food to every beast of the field, Yea, they are scattered.
6 Le mie pecore son ite errando per tutti i monti, e per ogni alto colle; e sono state disperse sopra tutta la faccia della terra, e non [vi è stato] alcuno che [ne] domandasse, o che [le] ricercasse.
Go astray do My flock on all the mountains, And on every high hill, And on all the face of the land have My flock been scattered, And there is none inquiring, and none seeking.
7 Perciò, pastori, ascoltate la parola del Signore:
Therefore, shepherds, hear a word of Jehovah:
8 [Come] io vivo, dice il Signore Iddio, [io farò questo]; perciocchè le mie pecore sono state in preda, e per pasto ad ogni fiera della campagna, per mancamento di pastore; e i miei pastori non han ricercate le mie pecore, anzi i pastori si son pasciuti loro stessi, e non han pasciute le mie pecore;
I live — an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, If not, because of My flock being for a prey, Yea, My flock is for food to every beast of the field, Because there is no shepherd, And My shepherds have not sought My flock, And the shepherds do feed themselves, And My flock they have not fed.
9 perciò, pastori, ascoltate la parola del Signore.
Therefore, O shepherds, hear a word of Jehovah:
10 Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Eccomi a que' pastori; ed io ridomanderò le mie pecore dalle lor mani e li farò rimanersi di pascer la greggia, e i pastori non pasceranno più loro stessi; anzi io riscoterò le mie pecore dalla lor bocca, e non saranno più loro per pasto.
Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against the shepherds, And have required My flock from their hand, And caused them to cease from feeding the flock, And no more do the shepherds feed themselves, And I have delivered My flock from their mouth, And they are not to them for food.
11 Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Eccomi, e ridomanderò le mie pecore, e le ricercherò.
For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I — even I, have required My flock, And I have sought it out.
12 Siccome il pastore ricerca la sua mandra, qualora egli è in mezzo delle sue pecore disperse, così ricercherò le mie pecore, e le riscoterò da tutti i luoghi, dove sono state disperse nel giorno di nuvola e di caligine.
As a shepherd's searching of his drove, In the day of his being in the midst of his scattered flock, so I do seek My flock, And have delivered them out of all places, Whither they have been scattered, In a day of cloud and thick darkness.
13 E le ritrarrò d'infra i popoli, e le raccoglierò da' paesi, e le ricondurrò nella lor terra, e le pascerò sopra i monti d'Israele, nelle pendici, e in tutte le dimore del paese.
And brought them out from the peoples, And have gathered them from the lands, And brought them unto their own ground, And have fed them on mountains of Israel, By streams, and by all dwellings of the land.
14 Io le pasturerò in buoni paschi, e la lor mandra sarà negli alti monti d'Israele; quivi giaceranno in buona mandra, e pastureranno in paschi grassi, ne' monti d'Israele.
With good pasture I do feed them, And on mountains of the high place of Israel is their habitation, There do they lie down in a good habitation, And fat pastures they enjoy on mountains of Israel.
15 Io stesso pascerò le mie pecore, e le farò posare, dice il Signore Iddio.
I feed My flock, and cause them to lie down, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
16 Io ricercherò la perduta, e ricondurrò la smarrita, e fascerò la fiaccata, e conforterò l'inferma; ma distruggerò la grassa e la forte; io le pasturerò con giudicio.
The lost I seek, and the driven away bring back, And the broken I bind up, and the sick I strengthen, And the fat and the strong I destroy, I feed it with judgment.
17 E quant'è a voi, pecore mie, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Ecco, io giudicherò fra pecora e pecora, fra montoni e becchi.
And you, My flock, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am judging between sheep and sheep, Between rams and he-goats.
18 Evvi egli troppo poca cosa, che pasturiate in buoni paschi, che voi calpestate co' piedi il rimanente della vostra pastura? e che beviate acque chiare, che voi intorbidate co' piedi quelle che restano?
Is it a little thing for you — the good pasture ye enjoy, And the remnant of your pasture ye tread down with your feet, And a depth of waters ye do drink, And the remainder with your feet ye trample,
19 Onde le mie pecore si pascono di ciò che avete calpestato co' piedi, e bevono ciò che avete intorbidato co' piedi.
And My flock the trodden thing of your feet consumeth, And the trampled thing of your feet drinketh?
20 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Eccomi, e giudicherò fra la pecora grassa, e la magra.
Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah to them: Lo, I — even I, have judged between fat sheep and lean sheep.
21 Perciocchè voi avete sospinte col fianco, e con la spalla; e con le corna avete cozzate tutte le inferme, tanto che le avete disperse, e cacciate fuori.
Because with side and with shoulder ye thrust away, And with your horns push all the diseased, Till ye have scattered them to the out-place,
22 Io salverò le mie pecore, e non saranno più in preda; e giudicherò fra pecora e pecora.
And I have given safety to My flock, And they are not any more for prey, And I have judged between sheep and sheep.
23 E susciterò sopra loro un Pastore, che le pasturerà, [cioè: ] Davide, mio servitore; egli le pasturerà, e sarà loro per pastore.
And have raised up over them one shepherd, And he hath fed them — my servant David, He doth feed them, and he is their shepherd,
24 Ed io, il Signore, sarò loro Dio; e Davide, mio servitore, [sarà] principe in mezzo di esse. Io, il Signore, ho parlato.
And I, Jehovah, I am their God, And My servant David prince in their midst, I, Jehovah, have spoken.
25 E farò con loro un patto di pace, e farò venir meno nel paese le bestie nocive; ed esse dimoreranno sicuramente nel deserto, e dormiranno nelle selve.
And I have made for them a covenant of peace, And caused evil beasts to cease out of the land, And they have dwelt in a wilderness confidently, And they have slept in forests.
26 E farò ch'esse, e tutti i luoghi d'intorno al mio colle, non saranno altro che benedizione; e farò scender la pioggia al suo tempo; [e quelle piogge] saran piogge di benedizioni.
And I have given them, and the suburbs of my hill, a blessing, And caused the shower to come down in its season, Showers of blessing they are.
27 E gli alberi dalla campagna produrranno i lor frutti, e la terra darà la sua rendita; e quelle saranno in sicurtà sopra la lor terra; e conosceranno che io [sono] il Signore, quando avrò rotte le sbarre del lor giogo, e le avrò riscosse dalla man di coloro che le tenevano in servitù.
And given hath the tree of the field its fruit, And the land doth give her increase, And they have been on their land confident, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah, In My breaking the bands of their yoke, And I have delivered them from the hand of those laying service on them.
28 E non saranno più in preda alle genti, e le fiere della campagna non le divoreranno [più]; anzi abiteranno in sicurtà, e non [vi sarà] alcuno che [le] spaventi.
And they are no more a prey to nations, And the beast of the earth devoureth them not, And they have dwelt confidently, And there is none troubling.
29 Ed io farò loro sorgere una pianta, [per esser loro] in nome, e fama; e non saranno più consumate per fame nella terra, e non porteranno più il vituperio delle genti.
And I have raised for them a plant for renown, And they are no more consumed by hunger in the land, And they bear no more the shame of the nations.
30 E conosceranno che io, il Signore Iddio loro, [sono] con loro; e ch'esse, [cioè] la casa d'Israele, [sono] il mio popolo, dice il Signore Iddio.
And they have known that I, Jehovah, their God, [am] with them, And they — the house of Israel — My people, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
31 Or voi, greggia mia, pecore del mio pasco, siete uomini, e io [son] l'Iddio vostro, dice il Signore Iddio.
And ye, My flock, the flock of My pasture, Men ye [are] — I [am] your God, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'
