Esodo 28
1 E TU, fa' accostare a te, d'infra i figliuoli d'Israele, Aaronne tuo fratello, e i suoi figliuoli con lui, per esercitarmi il sacerdozio; Aaronne, [dico], e Nadab, e Abihu, ed Eleazaro, e Itamar, figliuoli di Aaronne.
“And you, bring your brother Aaron near to you, and his sons with him, from the midst of the sons of Israel, for his being priest to Me, [even] Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, sons of Aaron;
2 E fa' ad Aaronne, tuo fratello, de' vestimenti sacri, a gloria ed ornamento.
and you have made holy garments for your brother Aaron, for glory and for beauty;
3 E parla a tutti gli uomini industriosi, i quali io ho ripieni di spirito d'industria, che facciano i vestimenti di Aaronne, per consacrarlo, acciocchè mi eserciti il sacerdozio.
and you speak to all the wise of heart, whom I have filled [with] a spirit of wisdom, and they have made the garments of Aaron to sanctify him for his being priest to Me.
4 E questi [sono] i vestimenti che hanno da fare; il Pettorale, e l'Efod, e il Manto, e la Tonica trapunta; la Benda, e la Cintura. Facciano adunque i vestimenti sacri ad Aaronne, tuo fratello, e a' suoi figliuoli, per esercitarmi il sacerdozio.
And these [are] the garments which they make: a breastplate, and an ephod, and an upper robe, and an embroidered coat, a turban, and a girdle; indeed, they have made holy garments for your brother Aaron, and for his sons, for his being priest to Me.
5 E prendano di quell'oro, di [quel] violato, porpora, scarlatto, e fin lino;
And they take the gold, and the blue, and the purple, and the scarlet, and the linen,
6 e facciano l'Efod, d'oro, di violato, di porpora, di scarlatto, e di fin lino ritorto, di lavoro di disegno.
and have made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, the work of a designer;
7 Sienvi due omerali che si accoppino insieme da' due capi di esso; e [così] sia [l'Efod] accoppiato.
it has two shoulders joining at its two ends, and it is joined.
8 E sia il disegno del fregio che [sarà] sopra l'Efod, col quale egli si cingerà, del medesimo lavoro, tirato dall'Efod istesso, d'oro, di violato, di porpora, di scarlatto, e di fin lino ritorto.
And the girdle of his ephod which [is] on him, according to its work, is of the same, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.
9 Piglia ancora due pietre onichine, e scolpisci sopra esse i nomi de' figliuoli d'Israele;
And you have taken the two shoham stones, and have engraved the names of the sons of Israel on them;
10 sei de' nomi loro sopra una pietra, e gli altri sei nomi sopra l'altra pietra, secondo le lor nascite.
six of their names on the first stone, and the names of the remaining six on the second stone, according to their births;
11 Scolpisci sopra quelle due pietre i nomi de' figliuoli d'Israele, a lavoro di scultor di pietre, come s'intagliano i suggelli; falle intorniate di castoni d'oro.
the work of an engraver of stone, [as] engravings of a signet—you engrave the names of the sons of Israel on the two stones; encompassing, you make them [with] filigrees of gold.
12 E metti quelle due pietre sopra gli omerali dell'Efod, [acciochè sieno] pietre di ricordanza per i figliuoli d'Israele; porti Aaronne i nomi loro davanti al Signore, sopra le sue due spalle, per memoria.
And you have set the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod—stones of memorial to the sons of Israel—and Aaron has borne their names before YHWH, on his two shoulders, for a memorial.
13 E fai de' castoni d'oro.
And you have made filigrees of gold,
14 E due catenelle di oro puro; falle a capi, di lavoro intorcicchiato; e attacca quelle catenelle intorcicchiate a' castoni.
and you make them [with] two chains of pure gold [as] wreathed work, work of thick bands, and you have put the thick chains on the filigrees.
15 Fa', oltre a ciò, il Pettorale del giudicio, di lavoro di disegno; fallo del lavoro dell'Efod, d'oro, e di violato, e di porpora, e di scarlatto, e di fin lino ritorto.
And you have made a breastplate of judgment, the work of a designer; you make it according to the work of the ephod; you make it of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen;
16 Sia quadrato, [e] doppio; e abbia in lunghezza una spanna, e una spanna in larghezza.
it is square, doubled, a span its length, and a span its breadth.
17 E incastra in esso delle pietre [preziose] in castoni, in quattro ordini; nel primo [siavi] un sardonio, un topazio, e uno smeraldo.
And you have set settings of stone in it, four rows of stone: a row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle [is] the first row;
18 E nel secondo, un carbonchio, uno zaffiro, e un diamante.
and the second row [is] emerald, sapphire, and diamond;
19 E nel terzo, un ligurio, un'agata, e un'amatista.
and the third row [is] opal, agate, and amethyst;
20 E nel quarto un grisolito, una pietra onichina, e un diaspro. Sieno [quelle pietre] incastrate nei lor castoni d'oro.
and the fourth row [is] beryl, and onyx, and jasper; they are embroidered with gold in their settings,
21 E sieno quelle pietre in numero di dodici, secondo i nomi de' figliuoli d'Israele; [abbia] ciascuna il suo nome [intagliato a lavoro] d'intagli di suggello; [e] sieno per le dodici tribù.
and the stones are according to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, [as] engravings of a signet, each with his name; they are for the twelve tribes.
22 Fa' eziandio al Pettorale delle catenelle a capi, di lavoro intorcicchiato, d'oro puro.
And you have made wreathed chains on the breastplate, [the] work of thick bands of pure gold;
23 Fa' ancora al Pettorale due anelli d'oro, e metti que' due anelli a due de' capi del Pettorale.
and you have made two rings of gold on the breastplate, and have put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate;
24 E metti quelle due catenelle d'oro intorcicchiate a que' due anelli, a' capi del Pettorale.
and you have put the two thick bands of gold on the two rings at the ends of the breastplate;
25 E attacca i due capi di quelle due catenelle intorcicchiate a que' due castoni, e metti [il Pettorale, e le sue catenelle], sopra i due omerali dell'Efod, in su la parte anteriore di esso.
and you put the two ends of the two thick bands on the two filigrees, and you have put [them] on the shoulders of the ephod toward the front of its face.
26 Fa' ancora due anelli d'oro, e mettili agli [altri] due capi del Pettorale, all'orlo di esso che [sarà] allato all'Efod, in dentro.
And you have made two rings of gold, and have set them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its border, which [is] toward the side of the ephod within it;
27 Fa' parimente due anelli d'oro, e mettili a' due omerali dell'Efod, al disotto, nella parte anteriore di esso, allato alla giuntura di esso, disopra al fregio lavorato dell'Efod.
and you have made two rings of gold, and have put them on the two shoulders of the ephod, from beneath, in front of its face, close by its joining, above the girdle of the ephod,
28 E giungasi il Pettorale serrato da' suoi anelli agli anelli dell'Efod, con una bendella di violato, acciocchè stia disopra al fregio lavorato dell'Efod, e non sia il Pettorale rimosso d'in su l'Efod.
and they bind the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a ribbon of blue, to be above the girdle of the ephod, and the breastplate is not loosed from the ephod.
29 E porti Aaronne i nomi de' figliuoli d'Israele nel Pettorale del giudicio, in sul suo cuore, quando egli entrerà nel Santuario, per ricordanza, nel cospetto del Signore, del continuo.
And Aaron has borne the names of the sons of Israel in the breastplate of judgment, on his heart, in his going into the holy place, for a memorial before YHWH continually.
30 E metti Urim e Tummim nel Pettorale del giudicio; sieno in sul cuore di Aaronne, quando egli entrerà nel cospetto del Signore; e porti Aaronne il Giudicio de' figliuoli d'Israele sopra il suo cuore, del continuo.
And you have put the Lights and the Perfections into the breastplate of judgment, and they have been on the heart of Aaron, in his going in before YHWH, and Aaron has borne the judgment of the sons of Israel on his heart before YHWH continually.
31 Fa' ancora il Manto dell'Efod, tutto di violato.
And you have made the upper robe of the ephod completely of blue,
32 E siavi nel mezzo di esso una scollatura [da passarvi dentro il] capo; abbia quella sua scollatura un orlo d'intorno, di lavoro tessuto; a guisa di scollatura di corazza, [acciocchè] non si schianti.
and the opening for his head has been in its midst; there is a border for its opening all around—the work of a weaver—[and] there is as the opening of a [linen] habergeon for it; it is not torn.
33 E fa' alle fimbrie di esso [Manto], attorno attorno, delle melagrane di violato, di porpora, e di scarlatto; e de' sonagli d'oro per mezzo quelle d'ogni intorno.
And you have made on its hem pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, on its hem all around, and bells of gold in their midst all around;
34 Un sonaglio di oro, poi una melagrana; un sonaglio di oro, poi una melagrana, alle fimbrie del Manto d'ogn'intorno.
a bell of gold and a pomegranate [and] a bell of gold and a pomegranate [are] on the hems of the upper robe all around.
35 Ed abbia Aaronne [quel Manto] addosso quando farà il servigio divino; e odasi il suono di esso quando egli entrerà nel luogo Santo, nel cospetto del Signore, e quando ne uscirà, acciocchè non muoia.
And it has been on Aaron to minister in, and its sound has been heard in his coming into the holy place before YHWH, and in his going out, and he does not die.
36 Fa' ancora una lama d'oro puro, e scolpisci sopra essa, a lavoro d'intagli di suggello: LA SANTITÀ DEL SIGNORE.
And you have made a flower of pure gold, and have engraved engravings of a signet on it: Holy to YHWH;
37 E metti quella [piastra] in sur una bendella di violato, sicchè sia sopra la Benda, in su la parte anteriore di essa.
and you have put it on a blue ribbon, and it has been on the turban—it is toward the front of the face of the turban;
38 E sia in su la fronte di Aaronne: acciocchè Aaronne porti l'iniquità delle sante offerte, le quali i figliuoli d'Israele avranno consacrate in tutte le offerte ch'essi consacrano; e sia in su la fronte di esso del continuo, per renderli grati nel cospetto del Signore.
and it has been on the forehead of Aaron, and Aaron has borne the iniquity of the holy things which the sons of Israel hallow, even all their holy gifts; and it has been on his forehead continually for a pleasing thing for them before YHWH.
39 Fa' ancora la Tonica di fin lino, trapunta; fa' parimente la Benda di fin lino; e fa' la Cintura di lavoro di ricamatore.
And you have embroidered the coat of linen, and have made a turban of linen, and you make a girdle—the work of an embroiderer.
40 Fa' ancora a' figliuoli di Aaronne, delle toniche, e delle cinture, e delle mitrie, a gloria ed ornamento.
And you make coats for the sons of Aaron, and you have made girdles for them, and you make caps for them, for glory and for beauty;
41 E vesti di questi [vestimenti] Aaronne, tuo fratello, e i suoi figliuoli; e ungili, e consacrali, e santificali, acciocchè mi esercitino il sacerdozio.
and you have clothed your brother Aaron with them, and his sons with him, and have anointed them, and have consecrated their hand, and have sanctified them, and they have been priests to Me.
42 Fa' loro ancora delle mutande line, per coprir la carne delle vergogne; giungano [quelle] mutande dai lombi fino [al disotto] delle cosce.
And make linen trousers for them to cover the naked flesh; they are from the loins even to the thighs;
43 E abbianle Aaronne ed i suoi figliuoli addosso, quando entreranno nel Tabernacolo della convenenza; ovvero, quando si accosteranno all'Altare, per fare il servigio nel [luogo] Santo; acciocchè non portino pena d'iniquità, e non muoiano. [Questo è] uno statuto perpetuo per lui, e per la sua progenie dopo lui.
and they have been on Aaron and on his sons in their going into the Tent of Meeting, or in their drawing near to the altar to minister in the holy place, and they do not bear iniquity nor have they died; [it is] a continuous statute to him and to his seed after him.”
