Colossesi 1
1 PAOLO, apostolo di Gesù Cristo, per la volontà di Dio, e il fratello Timoteo;
I Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, I and Timothy my brother,
2 a' santi, e fedeli fratelli in Cristo, che [sono] in Colosse. Grazia a voi, e pace, da Dio nostro Padre, e dal Signor Gesù Cristo.
to the saints and faithful brethren in Christ that are in Colosse: grace be to you, and peace from God our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
3 NOI rendiam grazie a Dio, e Padre del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, facendo del continuo orazione per voi;
We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 avendo udita la fede vostra in Cristo Gesù, e la vostra carità inverso tutti i santi;
since we heard of your faithfulness in Christ Jesus, and your love for all the saints,
5 per la speranza che vi è riposta ne' cieli, la quale innanzi avete udita nella parola della verità dell'evangelo.
in consequence of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,
6 Il quale è pervenuto a voi, come ancora per tutto il mondo; e fruttifica, e cresce, siccome ancora fra voi, dal dì che voi udiste, e conosceste la grazia di Dio in verità.
which is present among you, as it is also in all the world, and is producing fruit, even as it has been doing also among you, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth,
7 Come ancora avete imparato da Epafra, nostro caro conservo, il quale è fedel ministro di Cristo per voi.
as you learned from Epaphras, our dear fellow-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ for you,
8 Il quale ancora ci ha dichiarata la vostra carità in Ispirito.
and who also made known to us your love in spirit.
9 Perciò ancora noi, dal dì che abbiamo [ciò] udito, non restiamo di fare orazione per voi e di richiedere che siate ripieni della conoscenza della volontà d'esso in ogni sapienza, ed intelligenza spirituale.
For this reason, we also, from the day in which we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to request that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
10 Acciocchè camminiate condegnamente al Signore, per compiacer[gli] in ogni cosa, fruttificando in ogni opera buona, e crescendo nella conoscenza di Dio;
so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, in order to please him in all things, by means of every good work bringing forth fruit, and increasing in the knowledge, of God,
11 essendo fortificati in ogni forza, secondo la possanza della sua gloria, ad ogni sofferenza e pazienza, con allegrezza;
strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, in order to all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness,
12 rendendo grazie a Dio, e Padre, che ci ha fatti degni di partecipar la sorte de' santi nella luce.
giving thanks to the Father, who has made us fit for a portion of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Il quale ci ha riscossi dalla podestà delle tenebre, e ci ha trasportati nel regno del Figliuolo dell'amor suo.
who has delivered us from the authority of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,
14 In cui abbiamo la redenzione per lo suo sangue, la remission de' peccati.
in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins;
15 EGLI è l'immagine dell'Iddio invisibile, il primogenito d'ogni creatura.
who is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of every creature;
16 Poichè in lui sono state create tutte le cose, quelle [che son] ne' cieli, e quelle [che son] sopra la terra; le cose visibili e le invisibili; e troni, e signorie, e principati, e podestà; tutte le cose sono state create per lui, e per cagione di lui.
for by him were all things created, things in heaven and things in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or lordships, or principalities, or authorities; all things were created by him, and for him:
17 Ed egli è avanti ogni cosa, e tutte le cose consistono in lui.
and he is before all things, and by him all things consist:
18 Ed egli stesso è il capo del corpo della chiesa; [egli, dico], che è il principio, il primogenito da' morti; acciocchè in ogni cosa tenga il primo grado.
and he is the head of the body, the church: and he is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in all things he might be preeminent;
19 Perciocchè è piaciuto [al Padre] che tutta la pienezza abiti in lui;
for it pleased the Father that all his fullness should dwell in him,
20 ed avendo fatta la pace per il sangue della croce d'esso, riconciliarsi per lui tutte le cose; così quelle che [sono] sopra la terra, come quelle che [sono] ne' cieli.
and by him to reconcile all things to himself, having made peace by the blood of his cross; by him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
21 E voi stessi, che già eravate alieni, e nemici con la mente, nelle opere malvage;
And you, who were formerly alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled
22 pure ora vi ha riconciliati nel corpo della sua carne, per la morte, per farvi comparire davanti a sè santi, ed irreprensibili, e senza colpa.
by means of death in his fleshly body, that he may present you holy, and without spot, and blameless in his sight;
23 Se pure perseverate nella fede, essendo fondati e fermi; e non essendo smossi dalla speranza dell'evangelo che voi avete udito, il quale è stato predicato fra ogni creatura che [è] sotto il cielo; del quale io Paolo sono stato fatto ministro.
if you continue in the faith, founded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, have been made a minister.
24 ORA mi rallegro nelle mie sofferenza per voi, e per mia vicenda compio nella mia carne ciò che resta ancora a compiere delle afflizioni di Cristo, per lo corpo d'esso, che è la chiesa.
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up what remains of my sufferings for Christ in my flesh for the sake of his body, which is the church,
25 Della quale io sono stato fatto ministro, secondo la dispensazione di Dio, che mi è stata data inverso voi, per compiere [il servigio del]la parola di Dio.
of which I was made a minister according to the commission from God, which was given to me for you, that I might fully preach the word of God,
26 Il misterio, che è stato occulto da secoli ed età; ed ora è stato manifestato a' santi d'esso. (aiōn g165)
the mystery which was concealed from the ages and the generations, but is now made manifest to his saints, (aiōn g165)
27 A' quali Iddio ha voluto far conoscere quali [sieno] le ricchezze della gloria di questo misterio inverso i Gentili, che è Cristo in voi, speranza di gloria.
to whom God would make known what is the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,
28 Il quale noi annunziamo, ammondendo, ed ammaestrando ogni uomo in ogni sapienza; acciocchè presentiamo ogni uomo compiuto in Cristo Gesù.
whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29 A che ancora io fatico, combattendo secondo la virtù d'esso, la quale opera in me con potenza.
to which end I also labor, striving according to his energy, which works in me mightily.
