Amos 4
1 Ascoltate questa parola, vacche di Basan, che [siete] nella montagna di Samaria, che oppressate i miseri, che fiaccate i poveri, che dite a' vostri signori: Recate, acciocchè beviamo.
Hear the word this O cows of Bashan who [are] on [the] mountain of Samaria who oppress poor [people] who crush needy [people] who say to masters their bring! so we may drink.
2 Il Signore Iddio ha giurato per la sua santità, che ecco, i giorni vi vengono addosso, ch'egli vi trarrà fuori con uncini, e il vostro rimanente con ami da pescare.
He has sworn [the] Lord Yahweh by holiness his for here! days [are] coming on you and someone will take away you with barbs and posterity your with hooks of fishing.
3 E voi uscirete per le rotture, ciascuna dirincontro a sè; e lascerete in abbandono i palazzi, dice il Signore.
And breaches you will go out each before herself and you will throw Harmon towards [the] utterance of Yahweh.
4 Venite pure in Betel, e commettete misfatto, moltiplicate i vostri misfatti in Ghilgal, e adducete ogni mattina i vostri sacrificii, [e] le vostre decime a' tre giorni.
Come Beth-el and transgress Gilgal increase to transgress and bring to the morning sacrifices your to three days tithes your.
5 E fate ardere per profumo del pane levitato, per offerta di lode; e bandite a grida le offerte volontarie; poichè così amate [di fare], o figliuoli d'Israele, dice il Signore Iddio.
And make smoke from a thing leavened a thank-offering and proclaim freewill offerings make [them] heard for thus you love O people of Israel [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
6 E benchè io vi abbia data nettezza di denti in tutte le vostre città, e mancamento di pane in tutti i luoghi vostri; non però vi siete convertiti a me, dice il Signore.
And also I I gave to you cleanness of teeth in all cities your and lack of bread in all places your and not you returned to me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
7 E benchè io vi abbia divietata la pioggia, tre mesi intieri avanti la mietitura, ed abbia fatto piovere sopra una città, e non sopra l'altra; e un campo sia stato adacquato di pioggia, ed un altro, sopra il quale non è piovuto, sia seccato;
And also I I withheld from you the rain in yet three months [were] to the harvest and I sent rain on a city one and on a city one not I sent rain a portion of ground one it was rained on and a portion of ground which not it sent rain on it it dried up.
8 e due, e tre città si sieno mosse verso una città, per bere dell'acqua, e non si sieno saziate; non però vi siete convertiti a me, dice il Signore.
And they staggered two three cities to a city one to drink water and not they were satisfied and not you returned to me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
9 Io vi ho percossi di arsura, e di rubigine; le ruche hanno mangiata la moltitudine de' vostri giardini, e delle vostre vigne, e de' vostri fichi, e de' vostri ulivi; e pur voi non vi siete convertiti a me, dice il Signore.
I struck you with blight and with mildew to make many gardens your and vineyards your and fig trees your and olive trees your it ate the locust and not you returned to me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
10 Io ho mandata fra voi la pestilenza, nella via di Egitto; io ho uccisi con la spada i vostri giovani, oltre alla presa de' vostri cavalli; ed ho fatto salire il puzzo de' vostri eserciti, fino alle vostre nari; e pur voi non vi siete convertiti a me, dice il Signore.
I sent among you pestilence in [the] manner of Egypt I killed by the sword young men your with [the] capture of horses your and I caused to go up [the] stench of camp your in nose your and not you returned to me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
11 Io vi ho sovvertit, come Iddio sovvertì Sodoma e Gomorra; e siete stati come un tizzone salvato da un incendio; e pur voi non vi siete convertiti a me, dice il Signore.
I overthrew among you like [the] overthrow of God Sodom and Gomorrah and you were like a piece of firewood plucked out (from [the] burning *L(abh)*) and not you returned to me [the] utterance of Yahweh.
12 Perciò, io ti farò così, o Israele; [e] perciocchè io ti farò questo, preparati allo scontro dell'Iddio tuo, o Israele.
Therefore thus I will do to you O Israel consequence for this I will do to you be prepared to meet God your O Israel.
13 Perciocchè, ecco colui che ha formati i monti, e che crea il vento, e che dichiara all'uomo qual [sia] il suo pensiero; che fa dell'alba oscurità, e che cammina sopra gli alti luoghi della terra; il cui Nome [è: ] Il Signore Iddio degli eserciti.
For here! [one who] formed mountains and [one who] created wind and [one who] tells to humankind what? [is] thought his [one who] makes dawn darkness and [one who] treads on [the] high places of [the] earth [is] Yahweh God of hosts name his.
