2 Corinzi 13
1 Ecco, questa è la terza volta ch'io vengo a voi; ogni parola è confermata per la bocca di due, o di tre testimoni.
This third time, am I coming unto you: —at the mouth of two witnesses, or three, shall every matter be established.
2 Già [l]'ho detto innanzi tratto, e [lo] dico ancora, come presente; anzi, essendo assente, ora scrivo a coloro che hanno innanzi peccato, e tutti gli altri: che se io vengo di nuovo, non risparmierò [alcuno].
I have said beforehand, and do say beforehand, —as present the second time, although now absent, unto them who before sinned, and unto all the rest, —that, if I come again, I will not spare.
3 Poichè voi cercate la prova di Cristo che parla in me, il quale inverso voi non è debole, ma è potente in voi.
Since, a test, ye are seeking, of the speaking in me of Christ; —who, unto you, is not weak, but is powerful in you, —
4 Perciocchè, se egli è stato crocifisso per debolezza, pur vive egli per la potenza di Dio; perciocchè ancora noi siam deboli in lui, ma viveremo con lui, per la potenza di Dio, inverso voi.
For, although he was crucified through weakness, yet is he living through God’s power, —for, although, we, are weak in him, yet shall we live with him, through God’s power [unto us]—
5 Provate voi stessi, se siete nella fede; fate sperienza di voi stessi; non vi riconoscete voi stessi, che Gesù Cristo è in voi? se già non siete riprovati.
Be trying, yourselves, whether ye are in the faith, be putting, yourselves, to the test! Or do ye not recognise yourselves, seeing that, Jesus Christ, is in you, —unless perhaps ye fail in the testing.
6 Ed io spero che voi riconoscerete che noi non siam riprovati.
I hope, however, that ye shall come to know, that, we, fail not in the testing!
7 Or io prego Iddio che voi non facciate alcun male; non acciocchè noi appaiamo approvati, ma acciocchè voi facciate quel che è bene, e noi siamo come riprovati.
But we pray unto God, that ye may do nothing base, —not that, we, may appear, accepted, but that, ye, the honourable thing, may be doing, even though, we, should be, as it were, rejected;
8 Perciocchè noi non possiam nulla contro alla verità, ma [tutto ciò che possiamo è] per la verità.
For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth;
9 Poichè ci rallegriamo quando siam deboli, e voi siete forti; ma ben desideriamo ancora questo, [cioè] il vostro intiero ristoramento.
For we rejoice—whensoever, we, are weak, and, ye, are, strong. This, also we pray for—your restoration: —
10 Perciò, io scrivo queste cose, essendo assente; acciocchè, essendo presente, io non proceda rigidamente, secondo la podestà, la quale il Signore mi ha data, a edificazione, e non a distruzione.
For this cause, these things, while absent, am I writing, that I may not, when present, deal sharply—according to the authority which, the Lord, hath given me, for building up and not for pulling down.
11 Nel rimanente, fratelli, rallegratevi, siate ristorati, siate consolati, abbiate un medesimo sentimento, e state in pace; e l'Iddio della carità, e della pace sarà con voi.
Finally, brethren, farewell! Be getting restored, be taking encouragement, be of one mind, live in peace, —and, the God of love and peace, will be with you.
12 Salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio;
Salute ye one another with a holy kiss.
13 tutti i santi vi salutano.
All the saints, salute you.
14 La grazia del Signor Gesù Cristo, e la carità di Dio, e la comunione dello Spirito Santo, [sia] con tutti voi. Amen.
The favour of our Lord Jesus [Christ], and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
