1 OR BENIAMINO generò Bela, suo [figliuolo] primogenito; ed Asbel, il secondo; ed Ara, il terzo;
And Benjamin begot Bela his first-born, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third;
2 e Noha, il quarto; e Rafa, il quinto.
Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
3 Ed i figliuoli di Bela furono Addar, e Ghera, ed Abihud,
And Bela had sons, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud;
4 ed Abisua, e Naman, ed Ahoa,
and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah;
5 e Ghera, e Sefufim, ed Huram.
and Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6 Or questi furono i figliuoli di Ehud (i quali [erano] capi di [famiglie] paterne degli abitanti di Gheba, i quali furono tramutati in Manahat):
And these are the sons of Ehud — these are the heads of fathers' houses of the inhabitants of Geba, and they were carried captive to Manahath;
7 Naaman, ed Ahia, e Ghera, [il qual fu] colui che li tramutò. Egli generò eziandio Uzza ed Ahihud.
and Naaman, and Ahijah, and Gera, were they that carried them captive — and he begot Uzza, and Ahihud.
8 Or Saharaim, dopo ch'esso ebbe rimandati coloro, generò [de' figliuoli] nel territorio di Moab ([or] Husim, e Baara, [erano] sue mogli);
And Shaharaim begot children in the field of Moab, after he had sent them away, to wit, Hushim and Baara his wives;
9 generò ancora di Hoses sua moglie: Iobab, e Sibia, e Mesa, e Malcam,
he begot of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam;
10 e Ieus, e Sochia, e Mirma. Questi [furono] i suoi figliuoli, capi di [famiglie] paterne.
and Jeuz, and Sachiah, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of fathers' houses.
11 E generò di Husim: Abitub, ed Elpaal.
and of Hushim he begot Abitub, and Elpaal.
12 Ed i figliuoli di Elpaal [furono] Eber, e Misam, e Semed il quale edificò Ono, e Lod, e le terre del suo territorio;
And the sons of Elpaal: Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof;
13 e Beria, e Sema, i quali [furono] capi di [famiglie] paterne degli abitanti di Aialon; essi misero in fuga gli abitanti di Gat.
and Beriah, and Shema, who were heads of fathers' houses of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who put to flight the inhabitants of Gath.
14 Ed Ahio, e Sasac, e Ieremot, e Zebadia,
And Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth;
15 ed Arad, ed Eder,
and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder;
16 e Micael, ed Ispa, e Ioha, [furono] figliuoli di Beria.
and Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, were the sons of Beriah.
17 E Zebadia, e Mesullam, e Hizchi, ed Heber,
And Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber;
18 ed Ismerai, ed Izlia, e Iobab, [furono] figliuoli di Elpaal.
and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab, were the sons of Elpaal.
19 E Iachim, e Zicri, e Zabdi,
And Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi;
20 ed Elienai, e Silletai, ed Eliel,
and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel;
21 ed Adaia, e Beraia, e Simrat, [furono] figliuoli di Simi.
and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, were the sons of Shimei.
22 Ed Ispan, ed Eber, ed Eliel,
And Ishpan, and Ebed, and Eliel;
23 ed Abdon, e Zicri, ed Hanan,
and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan;
24 ed Hanania, ed Elam, ed Antotia,
and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothiah;
25 e Ifdeia, e Peniel, [furono] figliuoli di Sasac.
and Iphdeiah, and Penuel, were the sons of Shashak.
26 E Samserai, e Seharia, ed Atalia,
And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah;
27 e Iaaresia, ed Elia, e Zicri, [furono] figliuoli di Ieroham.
and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri, were the sons of Jeroham.
28 Questi [furono] i capi principali delle famiglie paterne, secondo le lor generazioni; e questi abitarono in Gerusalemme.
These were heads of fathers' houses throughout their generations, chief men; these dwelt in Jerusalem.
29 Ed in Gabaon abitò il padre di Gabaon; il nome della cui moglie [era] Maaca.
And in Gibeon there dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife's name was Maacah;
30 E il suo figliuolo primogenito [fu] Abdon; poi [ebbe] Sur, e Chis, e Baal, e Nadab, e Ghedor, ed Ahio, e Zecher,
and his first-born son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab;
31 e Miclot, [il quale] generò Simea.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.
32 Anche costoro abitarono dirimpetto a' lor fratelli in Gerusalemme, insieme co' lor fratelli.
And Mikloth begot Shimeah. And they also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
33 Or Ner generò Chis, e Chis generò Saulle, e Saulle generò Gionatan, e Malchi-sua, ed Abinadab, ed Esbaal.
And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Saul; and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
34 E il figliuolo di Gionatan [fu] Merib-baal; e Merib-baal generò Mica.
And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal begot Micah.
35 Ed i figliuoli di Mica [furono] Piton, e Melec, e Taarea, ed Achaz.
And the sons of Micah; Pithon, and Melech, and Taarea, and Ahaz.
36 Ed Achaz generò Ioadda, e Ioadda generò Alemet, ed Azmavet, e Zimri; e Zimri generò Mosa.
And Ahaz begot Jehoaddah; and Jehoaddah begot Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza;
37 E Mosa generò Bina, di cui [fu] figliuolo Rafa, di cui [fu] figliuolo Elasa, di cui [fu] figliuolo Asel.
and Moza begot Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
38 Ed Asel ebbe sei figliuoli, i cui nomi [son] questi: Azricam, e Bocru, ed Ismael, e Searia, ed Obadia, ed Hanan. Tutti questi [furono] figliuoli di Asel.
And Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
39 E i figliuoli di Esec, fratello di esso, [furono] Ulam, suo primogenito; Ieus, il secondo; ed Elifelet, il terzo.
And the sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 Ed i figliuoli di Ulam furono uomini prodi e valenti, i quali tiravano d'arco; ed ebbero molti figliuoli, e nipoti, [fino a] cencinquanta. Tutti questi [furono] de' figliuoli di Beniamino.
And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers; and had many sons, and sons' sons, a hundred and fifty. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.
