Salmi 43

1 Fammi giustizia, o Dio, difendi la mia causa contro gente spietata; liberami dall'uomo iniquo e fallace.

A psalm for David. Judge me, O God, and distinguish my cause from the nation that is not holy: deliver me from the unjust and deceitful man.

2 Tu sei il Dio della mia difesa; perché mi respingi, perché triste me ne vado, oppresso dal nemico?

For thou art God my strength: why hast thou cast me off? and why do I go sorrowful whilst the enemy afflicteth me?

3 Manda la tua verità e la tua luce; siano esse a guidarmi, mi portino al tuo monte santo e alle tue dimore.

Send forth thy light and thy truth: they have conducted me, and brought me unto thy holy hill, and into thy tabernacles.

4 Verrò all'altare di Dio, al Dio della mia gioia, del mio giubilo. A te canterò con la cetra, Dio, Dio mio.

And I will go in to the altar of God: to God who giveth joy to my youth.

5 Perché ti rattristi, anima mia, perché su di me gemi? Spera in Dio: ancora potrò lodarlo, lui, salvezza del mio volto e mio Dio.

To thee, O God my God, I will give praise upon the harp: why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance, and my God.
