Salmi 141

1 Signore, a te grido, accorri in mio aiuto; ascolta la mia voce quando t'invoco. Salmo. Di Davide.

A psalm of David. Yahweh, I am crying out to you; come quickly to me. Listen to me when I call to you.

2 Come incenso salga a te la mia preghiera, le mie mani alzate come sacrificio della sera.

May my prayer be like incense before you; may my lifted hands be like the evening sacrifice.

3 Poni, Signore, una custodia alla mia bocca, sorveglia la porta delle mie labbra.

Yahweh, place a guard over my mouth; guard the door of my lips.

4 Non lasciare che il mio cuore si pieghi al male e compia azioni inique con i peccatori: che io non gusti i loro cibi deliziosi.

Do not let my heart desire any evil thing or participate in sinful activities with men who behave wickedly. May I not eat any of their delicacies.

5 Mi percuota il giusto e il fedele mi rimproveri, ma l'olio dell'empio non profumi il mio capo; tra le loro malvagità continui la mia preghiera.

Let a righteous man hit me; it will be a kindness to me. Let him correct me; it will be like oil on my head; may my head not refuse to accept it. But my prayer is always against their wicked deeds.

6 Dalla rupe furono gettati i loro capi, che da me avevano udito dolci parole.

Their leaders will be thrown down from the top of cliffs; they will hear that my own words are pleasant.

7 Come si fende e si apre la terra, le loro ossa furono disperse alla bocca degli inferi. (Sheol h7585)

They will have to say, “As when one plows and breaks up the ground, so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)

8 A te, Signore mio Dio, sono rivolti i miei occhi; in te mi rifugio, proteggi la mia vita.

Surely my eyes are on you, Yahweh, Lord; in you I take refuge; do not leave my soul defenseless.

9 Preservami dal laccio che mi tendono, dagli agguati dei malfattori.

Protect me from the snares that they have laid for me, from the traps of evildoers.

10 Gli empi cadono insieme nelle loro reti, ma io passerò oltre incolume.

Let the wicked fall into their own nets while I escape.
