1 Beato l'uomo che teme il Signore e cammina nelle sue vie. Canto delle ascensioni.

A Song of Ascents. Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways.

2 Vivrai del lavoro delle tue mani, sarai felice e godrai d'ogni bene.

For you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you.

3 La tua sposa come vite feconda nell'intimità della tua casa; i tuoi figli come virgulti d'ulivo intorno alla tua mensa.

Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive shoots around your table.

4 Così sarà benedetto l'uomo che teme il Signore.

Behold, this is how the man who fears the LORD is blessed.

5 Ti benedica il Signore da Sion! Possa tu vedere la prosperità di Gerusalemme per tutti i giorni della tua vita.

May the LORD bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

6 Possa tu vedere i figli dei tuoi figli. Pace su Israele!
