Salmi 113

1 Lodate, servi del Signore, lodate il nome del Signore. Alleluia.

Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

2 Sia benedetto il nome del Signore, ora e sempre.

Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

3 Dal sorgere del sole al suo tramonto sia lodato il nome del Signore.

From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same the LORD'S name [is] to be praised.

4 Su tutti i popoli eccelso è il Signore, più alta dei cieli è la sua gloria.

The LORD [is] high above all nations, [and] his glory above the heavens.

5 Chi è pari al Signore nostro Dio che siede nell'alto

Who [is] like to the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high.

6 e si china a guardare nei cieli e sulla terra?

Who humbleth [himself] to behold [the things that are] in heaven, and in the earth!

7 Solleva l'indigente dalla polvere, dall'immondizia rialza il povero,

He raiseth the poor out of the dust, [and] lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8 per farlo sedere tra i principi, tra i principi del suo popolo.

That he may set [him] with princes, [even] with the princes of his people.

9 Fa abitare la sterile nella sua casa quale madre gioiosa di figli.

He maketh the barren woman to keep house, [and to be] a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.
