Levitico 25

1 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè sul monte Sinai:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

2 «Parla agli Israeliti e riferisci loro: Quando entrerete nel paese che io vi dò, la terra dovrà avere il suo sabato consacrato al Signore.

Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When ye shall come into the lande which I giue you, the lande shall keepe Sabbath vnto the Lord.

3 Per sei anni seminerai il tuo campo e poterai la tua vigna e ne raccoglierai i frutti;

Sixe yeeres thou shalt sowe thy field, and sixe yeeres thou shalt cut thy vineyarde, and gather the fruite thereof.

4 ma il settimo anno sarà come sabato, un riposo assoluto per la terra, un sabato in onore del Signore; non seminerai il tuo campo e non poterai la tua vigna.

But the seuenth yeere shalbe a Sabbath of rest vnto the lande: it shall be the Lordes Sabbath: thou shalt neither sowe thy fielde, nor cut thy vineyarde.

5 Non mieterai quello che nascerà spontaneamente dal seme caduto nella tua mietitura precedente e non vendemmierai l'uva della vigna che non avrai potata; sarà un anno di completo riposo per la terra.

That which groweth of it owne accorde of thy haruest, thou shalt not reape, neither gather the grapes that thou hast left vnlaboured: for it shalbe a yeere of rest vnto the land.

6 Ciò che la terra produrrà durante il suo riposo servirà di nutrimento a te, al tuo schiavo, alla tua schiava, al tuo bracciante e al forestiero che è presso di te;

And the rest of the lande shall be meate for you, euen for thee, and for thy seruant, and for thy mayde, and for thy hired seruant, and for the stranger that soiourneth with thee:

7 anche al tuo bestiame e agli animali che sono nel tuo paese servirà di nutrimento quanto essa produrrà.

And for thy cattell, and for the beastes that are in thy lande shall all the encrease thereof be meate.

8 Conterai anche sette settimane di anni, cioè sette volte sette anni; queste sette settimane di anni faranno un periodo di quarantanove anni.

Also thou shalt number seuen Sabbaths of yeeres vnto thee, euen seuen times seuen yeere: and the space of the seuen Sabbaths of yeeres will be vnto thee nine and fourtie yeere.

9 Al decimo giorno del settimo mese, farai squillare la tromba dell'acclamazione; nel giorno dell'espiazione farete squillare la tromba per tutto il paese.

Then thou shalt cause to blow the trumpet of the Iubile in the tenth day of the seuenth moneth: euen in the day of the reconciliation shall ye make the trumpet blowe, throughout all your lande.

10 Dichiarerete santo il cinquantesimo anno e proclamerete la liberazione nel paese per tutti i suoi abitanti. Sarà per voi un giubileo; ognuno di voi tornerà nella sua proprietà e nella sua famiglia.

And ye shall halowe that yeere, euen the fiftieth yeere, and proclaime libertie in the lande to all the inhabitants thereof: it shalbe the Iubile vnto you, and ye shall returne euery man vnto his possession, and euery man shall returne vnto his familie.

11 Il cinquantesimo anno sarà per voi un giubileo; non farete né semina, né mietitura di quanto i campi produrranno da sé, né farete la vendemmia delle vigne non potate.

This fiftieth yeere shalbe a yeere of Iubile vnto you: ye shall not sowe, neither reape that which groweth of it selfe, neither gather the grapes thereof, that are left vnlaboured.

12 Poiché è il giubileo; esso vi sarà sacro; potrete però mangiare il prodotto che daranno i campi.

For it is the Iubile, it shall be holy vnto you: ye shall eate of the encrease thereof out of the fielde.

13 In quest'anno del giubileo, ciascuno tornerà in possesso del suo.

In the yeere of this Iubile, ye shall returne euery man vnto his possession.

14 Quando vendete qualche cosa al vostro prossimo o quando acquistate qualche cosa dal vostro prossimo, nessuno faccia torto al fratello.

And when thou sellest ought to thy neighbour, or byest at thy neighbours hande, ye shall not oppresse one another:

15 Regolerai l'acquisto che farai dal tuo prossimo in base al numero degli anni trascorsi dopo l'ultimo giubileo: egli venderà a te in base agli anni di rendita.

But according to the nomber of yeeres after the Iubile thou shalt bye of thy neighbour: also according to the nomber of the yeeres of the reuenues, he shall sell vnto thee.

16 Quanti più anni resteranno, tanto più aumenterai il prezzo; quanto minore sarà il tempo, tanto più ribasserai il prezzo; perché egli ti vende la somma dei raccolti.

According to the multitude of yeeres, thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewnesse of yeeres, thou shalt abate the price of it: for the nomber of fruites doeth he sell vnto thee.

17 Nessuno di voi danneggi il fratello, ma temete il vostro Dio, poiché io sono il Signore vostro Dio.

Oppresse not ye therefore any man his neighbour, but thou shalt feare thy God: for I am the Lord your God.

18 Metterete in pratica le mie leggi e osserverete le mie prescrizioni, le adempirete e abiterete il paese tranquilli.

Wherefore ye shall obey mine ordinances, and keepe my lawes, and do them, and ye shall dwell in the land in safetie.

19 La terra produrrà frutti, voi ne mangerete a sazietà e vi abiterete tranquilli.

And the lande shall giue her fruite, and ye shall eate your fill, and dwell therein in safetie.

20 Se dite: Che mangeremo il settimo anno, se non semineremo e non raccoglieremo i nostri prodotti?,

And if ye shall say, What shall we eate the seuenth yeere, for we shall not sowe, nor gather in our increase?

21 io disporrò in vostro favore un raccolto abbondante per il sesto anno ed esso vi darà frutti per tre anni.

I will sende my blessing vpon you in the sixt yeere, and it shall bring foorth fruite for three yeeres.

22 L'ottavo anno seminerete e consumerete il vecchio raccolto fino al nono anno; mangerete il raccolto vecchio finché venga il nuovo.

And ye shall sowe the eight yeere, and eate of the olde fruite vntill the ninth yeere: vntill the fruite thereof come, ye shall eate the olde.

23 Le terre non si potranno vendere per sempre, perché la terra è mia e voi siete presso di me come forestieri e inquilini.

Also the lande shall not be solde to be cut off from the familie: for the land is mine, and ye be but strangers and soiourners with me.

24 Perciò, in tutto il paese che avrete in possesso, concederete il diritto di riscatto per quanto riguarda il suolo.

Therefore in all the land of your possession ye shall graunt a redemption for the lande.

25 Se il tuo fratello, divenuto povero, vende una parte della sua proprietà, colui che ha il diritto di riscatto, cioè il suo parente più stretto, verrà e riscatterà ciò che il fratello ha venduto.

If thy brother be impouerished, and sell his possession, then his redeemer shall come, euen his neere kinsman, and bye out that which his brother solde.

26 Se uno non ha chi possa fare il riscatto, ma giunge a procurarsi da sé la somma necessaria al riscatto,

And if he haue no redeemer, but hath gotten and founde to bye it out,

27 conterà le annate passate dopo la vendita, restituirà al compratore il valore degli anni che ancora rimangono e rientrerà così in possesso del suo patrimonio.

Then shall he count the yeeres of his sale, and restore the ouerplus to the man, to whome he solde it: so shall he returne to his possession.

28 Ma se non trova da sé la somma sufficiente a rimborsarlo, ciò che ha venduto rimarrà in mano al compratore fino all'anno del giubileo; al giubileo il compratore uscirà e l'altro rientrerà in possesso del suo patrimonio.

But if he can not get sufficient to restore to him, then that which is solde, shall remaine in the hande of him that hath bought it, vntill the yere of the Iubile: and in the Iubile it shall come out, and he shall returne vnto his possession.

29 Se uno vende una casa abitabile in una città recinta di mura, ha diritto al riscatto fino allo scadere dell'anno dalla vendita; il suo diritto di riscatto durerà un anno intero.

Likewise if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled citie, he may bye it out againe within a whole yeere after it is solde: within a yeere may he bye it out.

30 Ma se quella casa, posta in una città recinta di mura, non è riscattata prima dello scadere di un intero anno, rimarrà sempre proprietà del compratore e dei suoi discendenti; il compratore non sarà tenuto a uscire al giubileo.

But if it be not bought out within ye space of a ful yeere, then the house that is in the walled citie, shalbe stablished, as cut off from the familie, to him that bought it, throughout his generations: it shall not goe out in the Iubile.

31 Però le case dei villaggi non attorniati da mura vanno considerate come parte dei fondi campestri; potranno essere riscattate e al giubileo il compratore dovrà uscire.

But the houses of villages, which haue no walles round about them, shalbe esteemed as the fielde of the countrey: they may be bought out againe, and shall goe out in the Iubile.

32 Quanto alle città dei leviti e alle case che essi vi possederanno, i leviti avranno il diritto perenne di riscatto.

Notwithstanding, the cities of the Leuites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Leuites redeeme at all seasons.

33 Se chi riscatta è un levita, in occasione del giubileo il compratore uscirà dalla casa comprata nella città levitica, perché le case delle città levitiche sono loro proprietà, in mezzo agli Israeliti.

And if a man purchase of the Leuites, the house that was solde, and the citie of their possession shall goe out in the Iubile: for the houses of the cities of the Leuites are their possession among the children of Israel.

34 Neppure campi situati nei dintorni delle città levitiche si potranno vendere, perché sono loro proprietà perenne.

But the fielde of the suburbes of their cities, shall not be solde: for it is their perpetuall possession.

35 Se il tuo fratello che è presso di te cade in miseria ed è privo di mezzi, aiutalo, come un forestiero e inquilino, perché possa vivere presso di te.

Moreouer, if thy brother be impouerished, and fallen in decay with thee, thou shalt relieue him, and as a stranger and soiourner, so shall he liue with thee.

36 Non prendere da lui interessi, né utili; ma temi il tuo Dio e fà vivere il tuo fratello presso di te.

Thou shalt take no vsurie of him, nor vantage, but thou shalt feare thy God, that thy brother may liue with thee.

37 Non gli presterai il denaro a interesse, né gli darai il vitto a usura.

Thou shalt not giue him thy money to vsurie, nor lende him thy vitailes for increase.

38 Io sono il Signore vostro Dio, che vi ho fatto uscire dal paese d'Egitto, per darvi il paese di Canaan, per essere il vostro Dio.

I am the Lord your God, which haue brought you out of the lande of Egypt, to giue you the lande of Canaan, and to be your God.

39 Se il tuo fratello che è presso di te cade in miseria e si vende a te, non farlo lavorare come schiavo;

If thy brother also that dwelleth by thee, be impouerished, and be sold vnto thee, thou shalt not compel him to serue as a bond seruant,

40 sia presso di te come un bracciante, come un inquilino. Ti servirà fino all'anno del giubileo;

But as an hired seruant, and as a soiourner he shalbe with thee: he shall serue thee vnto the yeere of the Iubile.

41 allora se ne andrà da te insieme con i suoi figli, tornerà nella sua famiglia e rientrerà nella proprietà dei suoi padri.

Then shall he depart from thee, both hee, and his children with him, and shall returne vnto his familie, and vnto the possession of his fathers shall he returne:

42 Poiché essi sono miei servi, che io ho fatto uscire dal paese d'Egitto; non debbono essere venduti come si vendono gli schiavi.

For they are my seruants, whom I brought out of the lande of Egypt: they shall not be solde as bondmen are solde.

43 Non lo tratterai con asprezza, ma temerai il tuo Dio.

Thou shalt not rule ouer him cruelly, but shalt feare thy God.

44 Quanto allo schiavo e alla schiava, che avrai in proprietà, potrete prenderli dalle nazioni che vi circondano; da queste potrete comprare lo schiavo e la schiava.

Thy bond seruant also, and thy bond maid, which thou shalt haue, shalbe of the heathen that are rounde about you: of them shall ye bye seruants and maydes.

45 Potrete anche comprarne tra i figli degli stranieri, stabiliti presso di voi e tra le loro famiglie che sono presso di voi, tra i loro figli nati nel vostro paese; saranno vostra proprietà.

And moreouer of the children of the stragers, that are soiourners among you, of them shall ye bye, and of their families that are with you, which they begate in your lande: these shall be your possession.

46 Li potrete lasciare in eredità ai vostri figli dopo di voi, come loro proprietà; vi potrete servire sempre di loro come di schiavi; ma quanto ai vostri fratelli, gli Israeliti, ognuno nei riguardi dell'altro, non lo tratterai con asprezza.

So ye shall take them as inheritance for your children after you, to possesse them by inheritance, ye shall vse their labours for euer: but ouer your brethren the children of Israel ye shall not rule one ouer another with crueltie.

47 Se un forestiero stabilito presso di te diventa ricco e il tuo fratello si grava di debiti con lui e si vende al forestiero stabilito presso di te o a qualcuno della sua famiglia,

If a soiourner or a stranger dwelling by thee get riches, and thy brother by him be impouerished, and sell him selfe vnto the stranger or soiourner dwelling by thee, or to the stocke of the strangers familie,

48 dopo che si è venduto, ha il diritto di riscatto; lo potrà riscattare uno dei suoi fratelli

After that he is solde, he may be bought out: one of his brethren may bye him out,

49 o suo zio o il figlio di suo zio; lo potrà riscattare uno dei parenti dello stesso suo sangue o, se ha i mezzi di farlo, potrà riscattarsi da sé.

Or his vncle, or his vncles sonne may bye him out, or any of the kindred of his flesh among his familie, may redeeme him: either if he can get so much, he may bye him selfe out.

50 Farà il calcolo con il suo compratore, dall'anno che gli si è venduto all'anno del giubileo; il prezzo da pagare sarà in proporzione del numero degli anni, valutando le sue giornate come quelle di un bracciante.

Then he shall recken with his byer from the yeere that he was solde to him, vnto the yere of Iubile: and the money of his sale shalbe according to the number of yeeres: according to the time of an hyred seruant shall he be with him.

51 Se vi sono ancora molti anni per arrivare al giubileo, pagherà il riscatto in ragione di questi anni e in proporzione del prezzo per il quale fu comprato;

If there be many yeeres behind, according to them he shall giue againe for his deliuerance, of the money that he was bought for.

52 se rimangono pochi anni per arrivare al giubileo, farà il calcolo con il suo compratore e pagherà il prezzo del suo riscatto in ragione di quegli anni.

If there remaine but fewe yeeres vnto the yeere of Iubile, then he shall count with him, and according to his yeeres giue againe for his redemption.

53 Resterà presso di lui come un bracciante preso a servizio anno per anno; il padrone non dovrà trattarlo con asprezza sotto i suoi occhi.

He shalbe with him yeere by yeere as an hired seruant: he shall not rule cruelly ouer him in thy sight.

54 Se non è riscattato in alcuno di quei modi, se ne andrà libero l'anno del giubileo: lui con i suoi figli.

And if he be not redeemed thus, he shall go out in the yeere of Iubile, he, and his children with him.

55 Poiché gli Israeliti sono miei servi; miei servi, che ho fatto uscire dal paese d'Egitto. Io sono il Signore vostro Dio».

For vnto me the children of Israel are seruants: they are my seruants, who I haue brought out of the land of Egypt: I am ye Lord your God.
