Isaia 40
1 «Consolate, consolate il mio popolo, dice il vostro Dio.
Comfort comfort people my he says God your.
2 Parlate al cuore di Gerusalemme e gridatele che è finita la sua schiavitù, è stata scontata la sua iniquità, perché ha ricevuto dalla mano del Signore doppio castigo per tutti i suoi peccati».

3 Una voce grida: «Nel deserto preparate la via al Signore, appianate nella steppa la strada per il nostro Dio.

4 Ogni valle sia colmata, ogni monte e colle siano abbassati; il terreno accidentato si trasformi in piano e quello scosceso in pianura.
Every valley it will be lifted up and every mountain and hill they will become low and it will become the steep [place] level ground and the rough places a plain.
5 Allora si rivelerà la gloria del Signore e ogni uomo la vedrà, poiché la bocca del Signore ha parlato».
And it will be revealed [the] glory of Yahweh and they will see [it] all flesh together for [the] mouth of Yahweh it has spoken.
6 Una voce dice: «Grida» e io rispondo: «Che dovrò gridare?». Ogni uomo è come l'erba e tutta la sua gloria è come un fiore del campo.
A voice [is] saying proclaim and he said what? will I proclaim all flesh [is] grass and all loyalty its [is] like [the] flower of the field.

Like a shepherd flock his he will shepherd in arm[s] his he will gather lambs and in bosom his he will carry [them] nursing [ewes] he will lead.
12 Chi ha misurato con il cavo della mano le acque del mare e ha calcolato l'estensione dei cieli con il palmo? Chi ha misurato con il moggio la polvere della terra, ha pesato con la stadera le montagne e i colli con la bilancia?
Who? has he measured in [the] hollow of hand his [the] waters and [the] heavens with span has he marked off? and has he contained? in third of a measure [the] dust of the earth and has he weighed? with balance mountains and hills with scales.
13 Chi ha diretto lo spirito del Signore e come suo consigliere gli ha dato suggerimenti?
Who? has he directed [the] spirit of Yahweh and [the] person of counsel his will he inform? him.
14 A chi ha chiesto consiglio, perché lo istruisse e gli insegnasse il sentiero della giustizia e lo ammaestrasse nella scienza e gli rivelasse la via della prudenza?
With whom? did he take counsel and did he give understanding? him and did he teach? him [the] path of justice and did he teach? him knowledge and [the] way of understanding will he inform? him.
15 Ecco, le nazioni son come una goccia da un secchio, contano come il pulviscolo sulla bilancia; ecco, le isole pesano quanto un granello di polvere.
There! nations like a drop from a bucket and like [the] dust of scales they are regarded there! islands like fine [dust] he lifts.
16 Il Libano non basterebbe per accendere il rogo, né le sue bestie per l'olocausto.
And Lebanon not [is] sufficiency of burning and animal[s] its not [is] sufficiency of burnt offering.
17 Tutte le nazioni sono come un nulla davanti a lui, come niente e vanità sono da lui ritenute.

18 A chi potreste paragonare Dio e quale immagine mettergli a confronto?
And to whom? will you liken! God and what? likeness will you compare to him.
19 Il fabbro fonde l'idolo, l'orafo lo riveste di oro e fonde catenelle d'argento. Si aiutano l'un l'altro; uno dice al compagno: «Coraggio!». Il fabbro incoraggia l'orafo; chi leviga con il martello incoraggia chi batte l'incudine, dicendo della saldatura: «Va bene» e fissa l'idolo con chiodi perché non si muova.
The idol he has cast a craftsman and a metalsmith with gold he will overlay it and chains of silver [is] refining.
20 Chi ha poco da offrire sceglie un legno che non marcisce; si cerca un artista abile, perché gli faccia una statua che non si muova.
The impoverished [person] a contribution wood [which] not it will rot he chooses a craftsman skillful he seeks for himself to prepare an idol [which] not it will be shaken.
21 Non lo sapete forse? Non lo avete udito? Non vi fu forse annunziato dal principio? Non avete capito le fondamenta della terra?
¿ Not do you know ¿ not do you hear ¿ not has it been told from [the] beginning to you ¿ not have you understood [the] foundations of the earth.
22 Egli siede sopra la volta del mondo, da dove gli abitanti sembrano cavallette. Egli stende il cielo come un velo, lo spiega come una tenda dove abitare;
The [one who] sits above [the] circle of the earth and inhabitants its [are] like grasshoppers the [one who] stretched out like curtain [the] heavens and he spread out them like tent to dwell in.
23 egli riduce a nulla i potenti e annienta i signori della terra.
The [one who] appoints rulers to nothing judges of [the] earth like nothingness he makes.
24 Sono appena piantati, appena seminati, appena i loro steli hanno messo radici nella terra, egli soffia su di loro ed essi seccano e l'uragano li strappa via come paglia.
Even not they have been planted even not they have been sown even not it has taken root in the ground rootstock their and also he blows on them and they have dried up and a tempest like chaff it carries off them.
25 «A chi potreste paragonarmi quasi che io gli sia pari?» dice il Santo.
And to whom? will you liken me and I may be equal? he says [the] holy [one].
26 Levate in alto i vostri occhi e guardate: chi ha creato quegli astri? Egli fa uscire in numero preciso il loro esercito e li chiama tutti per nome; per la sua onnipotenza e il vigore della sua forza non ne manca alcuno.
Lift up height eyes your and see who? did he create these the [one who] brings out by number host their all of them by name he calls from greatness of strength and a strong [one] of power any not it is missing.
27 Perché dici, Giacobbe, e tu, Israele, ripeti: «La mia sorte è nascosta al Signore e il mio diritto è trascurato dal mio Dio?».
Why? do you say O Jacob so you may declare? O Israel it is hidden way my from Yahweh and from God my justice my it passes away.
28 Non lo sai forse? Non lo hai udito? Dio eterno è il Signore, creatore di tutta la terra. Egli non si affatica né si stanca, la sua intelligenza è inscrutabile.
¿ Not do you know or? not have you heard [is] a God of perpetuity - Yahweh [the one who] created [the] ends of the earth not he grows weary and not he becomes weary there not [is] inquiry to understanding his.
29 Egli dà forza allo stanco e moltiplica il vigore allo spossato.

30 Anche i giovani faticano e si stancano, gli adulti inciampano e cadono;
And they may grow weary youths so they may become weary and young men certainly they stumble.
31 ma quanti sperano nel Signore riacquistano forza, mettono ali come aquile, corrono senza affannarsi, camminano senza stancarsi.
And [those who] wait for Yahweh they will renew strength they will go up wing[s] like eagles they will run and not they will become weary they will walk and not they will grow weary.
