1 Dio, che aveva gia parlato nei tempi antichi molte volte e in diversi modi ai padri per mezzo dei profeti, ultimamente,
God, who at different times and in different ways spoke of old to the fathers by the prophets,
2 in questi giorni, ha parlato a noi per mezzo del Figlio, che ha costituito erede di tutte le cose e per mezzo del quale ha fatto anche il mondo. (aiōn g165)
hath at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, by whom he also made the worlds, (aiōn g165)
3 Questo Figlio, che è irradiazione della sua gloria e impronta della sua sostanza e sostiene tutto con la potenza della sua parola, dopo aver compiuto la purificazione dei peccati si è assiso alla destra della maestà nell'alto dei cieli,
who being a brightness from his glory and an image of his being, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself accomplished a cleansing of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 ed è diventato tanto superiore agli angeli quanto più eccellente del loro è il nome che ha ereditato.
having become so much superior to the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.
5 Infatti a quale degli angeli Dio ha mai detto: Tu sei mio figlio; oggi ti ho generato? E ancora: Io sarò per lui padre ed egli sarà per me figlio?
For to which of the angels did he ever say: “Thou art my Son, I this day have begotten thee?” and again: “I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?”
6 E di nuovo, quando introduce il primogenito nel mondo, dice: Lo adorino tutti gli angeli di Dio.
And again, when he hath brought in the first-begotten into the world, he saith: “And let all the angels of God pay him homage.”
7 Egli fa i suoi angeli pari ai venti, e i suoi ministri come fiamma di fuoco, Mentre degli angeli dice:
And of the angels he saith: “Who maketh his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire;”
8 Scettro giusto è lo scettro del tuo regno; del Figlio invece afferma: Il tuo trono, Dio, sta in eterno e: (aiōn g165)
but of the Son: “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; and the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness. (aiōn g165)
9 hai amato la giustizia e odiato l'iniquità, perciò ti unse Dio, il tuo Dio, con olio di esultanza più dei tuoi compagni.
Thou lovedst righteousness, and hatedst iniquity; therefore God, thy God, anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”
10 Tu, Signore, da principio hai fondato la terra e opera delle tue mani sono i cieli. E ancora:
And: “Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst found the earth, and the heavens are the works of thy hands.
11 Essi periranno, ma tu rimani; invecchieranno tutti come un vestito.
They will perish, but thou remainest; and they will all become old as doth a garment,
12 Come un mantello li avvolgerai, e saranno cambiati; ma tu rimani lo stesso, e gli anni tuoi non avranno fine.
and thou wilt fold them up as a vesture, and they will be changed; but thou art the same, and thy years will not fail.”
13 Siedi alla mia destra, finché io non abbia posto i tuoi nemici sotto i tuoi piedi? A quale degli angeli poi ha mai detto:
But to which of the angels hath he ever said: “Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?”
14 Non sono essi tutti spiriti incaricati di un ministero, inviati per servire coloro che devono ereditare la salvezza?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
