1 Questo è il libro della genealogia di Adamo. Quando Dio creò l'uomo, lo fece a somiglianza di Dio;
This is the book of the generations of Adam. On the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him:
2 maschio e femmina li creò, li benedisse e li chiamò uomini quando furono creati.
Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, on the day when they were created.
3 Adamo aveva centotrenta anni quando generò a sua immagine, a sua somiglianza, un figlio e lo chiamò Set.
And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his likeness, after his image; and called his name Sheth.
4 Dopo aver generato Set, Adamo visse ancora ottocento anni e generò figli e figlie.
And the days of Adam after he had begotten Sheth were eight hundred years; and he begat sons and daughters.
5 L'intera vita di Adamo fu di novecentotrenta anni; poi morì.
And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.
6 Set aveva centocinque anni quando generò Enos;
And Sheth lived a hundred and five years, and begat Enosh.
7 dopo aver generato Enos, Set visse ancora ottocentosette anni e generò figli e figlie.
And Sheth lived after he had begotten Enosh eight hundred and seven years; and he begat sons and daughters.
8 L'intera vita di Set fu di novecentododici anni; poi morì.
And all the days of Sheth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
9 Enos aveva novanta anni quando generò Kenan;
And Enosh lived ninety years, and begat Kenan.
10 Enos, dopo aver generato Kenan, visse ancora ottocentoquindici anni e generò figli e figlie.
And Enosh lived after he had begotten Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years; and he begat sons and daughters.
11 L'intera vita di Enos fu di novecentocinque anni; poi morì.
And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
12 Kenan aveva settanta anni quando generò Maalaleèl;
And Kenan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalalel.
13 Kenan dopo aver generato Maalaleèl visse ancora ottocentoquaranta anni e generò figli e figlie.
And Kenan lived after he had begotten Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years; and he begat sons and daughters

And all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
15 Maalaleèl aveva sessantacinque anni quando generò Iared;
And Mahalalel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared.
16 Maalaleèl dopo aver generato Iared, visse ancora ottocentrenta anni e generò figli e figlie.
And Mahalalel lived after he had begotten Jared eight hundred and thirty years; and he begat sons and daughters.
17 L'intera vita di Maalaleèl fu di ottocentonovantacinque anni; poi morì.
And all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety and five years; and he died.
18 Iared aveva centosessantadue anni quando generò Enoch;
And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and begat Enoch.
19 Iared, dopo aver generato Enoch, visse ancora ottocento anni e generò figli e figlie.
And Jared lived after he had begotten Enoch eight hundred years; and he begat sons and daughters.
20 L'intera vita di Iared fu di novecentosessantadue anni; poi morì.
And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years; and he died.
21 Enoch aveva sessantacinque anni quando generò Matusalemme.
And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methushelah.
22 Enoch camminò con Dio; dopo aver generato Matusalemme, visse ancora per trecento anni e generò figli e figlie.
And Enoch walked with God after he had begotten Methushelah three hundred years; and begat sons and daughters.
23 L'intera vita di Enoch fu di trecentosessantacique anni.
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years.
24 Poi Enoch cammino con Dio e non fu più perché Dio l'aveva preso.
And Enoch walked with God, and he was no more; for God had taken him.
25 Matusalemme aveva centottantasette anni quando generò Lamech;
And Methushelah lived a hundred eighty and seven years and begat Lemech.
26 Matusalemme, dopo aver generato Lamech, visse ancora settecentottantadue anni e generò figli e figlie.
And Methushelah lived after he had begotten Lemech seven hundred eighty and two years; and he begat sons and daughters.
27 L'intera vita di Matusalemme fu di novecentosessantanove anni; poi morì.
And all the days of Methushelah were nine hundred sixty and nine years; and he died.
28 Lamech aveva centottantadue anni quando generò un figlio
And Lemech lived a hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son.
29 e lo chiamò Noè, dicendo: «Costui ci consolerà del nostro lavoro e della fatica delle nostre mani, a causa del suolo che il Signore ha maledetto».
And he called his name Noach, [[Noah, ]] saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
30 Lamech, dopo aver generato Noè, visse ancora cinquecentonovantacinque anni e generò figli e figlie.
And Lemech lived after he had begotten Noah five hundred ninety and five years; and begat sons and daughters.
31 L'intera vita di Lamech fu di settecentosettantasette anni; poi morì.
And all the days of Lemech were seven hundred seventy and seven years; and he died.
32 Noè aveva cinquecento anni quando generò Sem, Cam e Iafet.
And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
