Ezechiele 27
1 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
2 «Orsù, figlio dell'uomo, intona un lamento su Tiro.
'And thou, son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyre,
3 Così dice il Signore Dio: Tiro, tu dicevi: Io sono una nave di perfetta bellezza. Dì a Tiro, alla città situata all'approdo del mare, che commercia con i popoli e con le molte isole:
and say unto Tyre, that dwelleth at the entry of the sea, that is the merchant of the peoples unto many isles: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Thou, O Tyre, hast said: I am of perfect beauty.
4 In mezzo ai mari è il tuo dominio. I tuoi costruttori ti hanno reso bellissima:
Thy borders are in the heart of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
5 con cipressi del Senìr hanno costruito tutte le tue fiancate, hanno preso il cedro del Libano per farti l'albero maestro;
Of cypress-trees from Senir have they fashioned all thy planks; they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.
6 i tuoi remi li hanno fatti con le querce di Basan; il ponte te lo hanno fatto d'avorio, intarsiato nel bòssolo delle isole di Chittim.
Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; thy deck have they made of ivory inlaid in larch, from the isles of the Kittites.
7 Di lino ricamato d'Egitto era la tua vela che ti servisse d'insegna; di giacinto scarlatto delle isole di Elisà era il tuo padiglione.
Of fine linen with richly woven work from Egypt was thy sail, that it might be to thee for an ensign; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was thine awning.
8 Gli abitanti di Sidòne e d'Arvad erano i tuoi rematori, gli esperti di Semer erano in te, come tuoi piloti.
The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were thy rowers; thy wise men, O Tyre, were in thee, they were thy pilots.
9 Gli anziani di Biblos e i suoi esperti erano in te per riparare le tue falle. Tutte le navi del mare e i loro marinai erano in te per scambiare merci.
The elders of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers; all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to exchange thy merchandise.
10 Guerrieri di Persia, di Lud e di Put erano nelle tue schiere, appendevano in te lo scudo e l'elmo, ti davano splendore.
Persia and Lud and Put were in thine army, thy men of war; they hanged the shield and helmet in thee, they set forth thy comeliness.
11 I figli di Arvad e il loro esercito erano intorno alle tue mura vigilando sui tuoi bastioni, tutti appendevano intorno alle tue mura gli scudi, coronando la tua bellezza.
The men of Arvad and Helech were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadim were in thy towers; they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have perfected thy beauty.
12 Tarsìs commerciava con te, per le tue ricchezze d'ogni specie, scambiando le tue merci con argento, ferro, stagno e piombo.
Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded for thy wares.
13 Anche la Grecia, Tubal e Mesech commerciavano con te e scambiavan le tue merci con schiavi e oggetti di bronzo.
Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy traffickers; they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass for thy merchandise.
14 Quelli di Togarmà ti fornivano in cambio cavalli da tiro, da corsa e muli.
They of the house of Togarmah traded for thy wares with horses and horsemen and mules.
15 Gli abitanti di Dedan trafficavano con te; il commercio delle molte isole era nelle tue mani: ti davano in pagamento corni d'avorio ed ebano.
The men of Dedan were thy traffickers; many isles were the mart of thy hand; they brought thee as tribute horns of ivory and ebony.
16 Aram commerciava con te per la moltitudine dei tuoi prodotti e pagava le tue merci con pietre preziose, porpora, ricami, bisso, coralli e rubini.
Aram was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of thy wealth; they traded for thy wares with carbuncles, purple, and richly woven work, and fine linen, and coral, and rubies.
17 Con te commerciavano Giuda e il paese d'Israele. Ti davano in cambio grano di Minnìt, profumo, miele, olio e balsamo.
Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy traffickers; they traded for thy merchandise wheat of Minnith, and balsam, and honey, and oil, and balm.
18 Damasco trafficava con te per i tuoi numerosi prodotti, per i tuoi beni di ogni specie scambiando vino di Chelbòn e lana di Zacar.
Damascus was thy merchant for the multitude of thy wealth, by reason of the multitude of all riches, with the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
19 Vedàn e Iavàn da Uzàl ti rifornivano ferro lavorato, cassia e canna aromatica in cambio dei tuoi prodotti.
Vedan and Javan traded with yarn for thy wares; massive iron, cassia, and calamus, were among thy merchandise.
20 Dedan trafficava con te in coperte di cavalli.
Dedan was thy trafficker in precious cloths for riding.
21 L'Arabia e tutti i prìncipi di Kedàr mercanteggiavano con te: trafficavano con te agnelli, montoni e capri.
Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they were the merchants of thy hand; in lambs, and rams, and goats, in these were they thy merchants.
22 I mercanti di Saba e di Raemà trafficavano con te, scambiando le tue merci con i più squisiti aromi, con ogni sorta di pietre preziose e con oro.
The traffickers of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy traffickers; they traded for thy wares with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
23 Carran, Cannè, Eden, i mercanti di Saba, Assur, Kilmàd commerciavano con te.
Haran and Canneh and Eden, the traffickers of Sheba, Asshur was as thine apprentice in traffic.
24 Scambiavano con te vesti di lusso, mantelli di porpora e di broccato, tappeti tessuti a vari colori, funi ritorte e robuste, sul tuo mercato.
These were thy traffickers in gorgeous fabrics, in wrappings of blue and richly woven work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords and cedar-lined, among thy merchandise.
25 Così divenisti ricca e gloriosa in mezzo ai mari. Le navi di Tarsìs viaggiavano, portando le tue mercanzie.
The ships of Tarshish brought thee tribute for thy merchandise; so wast thou replenished, and made very heavy in the heart of the seas.
26 In alto mare ti condussero i tuoi rematori, ma il vento d'oriente ti ha travolto in mezzo ai mari.
Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters; the east wind hath broken thee in the heart of the seas.
27 Le tue ricchezze, i tuoi beni e il tuo traffico, i tuoi marinai e i tuoi piloti, i riparatori delle tue avarie i trafficanti delle tue merci, tutti i guerrieri che sono in te e tutta la turba che è in mezzo a te piomberanno nel fondo dei mari, il giorno della tua caduta.
Thy riches, and thy wares, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the exchangers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy ruin.
28 All'udire il grido dei tuoi nocchieri tremeranno le spiagge.
At the sound of the cry of thy pilots the waves shall shake.
29 Scenderanno dalle loro navi quanti maneggiano il remo: i marinai, e tutti i piloti del mare resteranno a terra.
And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land,
30 Faranno sentire il lamento su di te e grideranno amaramente, si getteranno sulla testa la polvere, si rotoleranno nella cenere;
And shall cause their voice to be heard over thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall roll themselves in the ashes;
31 si raderanno i capelli per te e vestiranno di sacco; per te piangeranno nell'amarezza dell'anima con amaro cordoglio.
And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee in bitterness of soul with bitter lamentation.
32 Nel loro pianto intoneranno su di te un lamento, su di te comporranno elegie: Chi era come Tiro, ora distrutta in mezzo al mare?
And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee: who was there like Tyre, fortified in the midst of the sea?
33 Quando dai mari uscivano le tue mercanzie, saziavi tanti popoli; con l'abbondanza delle tue ricchezze e del tuo commercio arricchivi i re della terra.
When thy wares came forth out of the seas, thou didst fill many peoples; with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise didst thou enrich the kings of the earth.
34 Ora tu giaci travolta dai flutti nelle profondità delle acque: il tuo carico e tutto il tuo equipaggio sono affondati con te.
Now that thou art broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, and thy merchandise and all thy company are fallen in the midst of thee,
35 Tutti gli abitanti delle isole sono rimasti spaventati per te e i loro re, colpiti dal terrore, hanno il viso sconvolto.
All the inhabitants of the isles are appalled at thee, and their kings are horribly afraid, they are troubled in their countenance;
36 I mercanti dei popoli fischiano su di te, tu sei divenuta oggetto di spavento, finita per sempre».
The merchants among the peoples hiss at thee; thou art become a terror, and never shalt be any more.'
