Deuteronomio 8
1 Baderete di mettere in pratica tutti i comandi che oggi vi dò, perché viviate, diveniate numerosi ed entriate in possesso del paese che il Signore ha giurato di dare ai vostri padri.
All the commandment which I [am] commanding you this day you will take care! to observe so that you may live! and you will increase and you will go and you will take possession of the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your.
2 Ricordati di tutto il cammino che il Signore tuo Dio ti ha fatto percorrere in questi quarant'anni nel deserto, per umiliarti e metterti alla prova, per sapere quello che avevi nel cuore e se tu avresti osservato o no i suoi comandi.
And you will remember all the way which he led you Yahweh God your this forty year[s] in the wilderness so as to humble you to put to [the] test you to know [that] which [was] in heart your ¿ will you keep (commandments his *Q(K)*) or? not.
3 Egli dunque ti ha umiliato, ti ha fatto provare la fame, poi ti ha nutrito di manna, che tu non conoscevi e che i tuoi padri non avevano mai conosciuto, per farti capire che l'uomo non vive soltanto di pane, ma che l'uomo vive di quanto esce dalla bocca del Signore.
And he humbled you and he caused to hunger you and he caused to eat you (*L(abh)*) the manna which not you had known and not they had known! ancestors your so as to make know you that not on the bread by only it he lives humankind for on every utterance of [the] mouth of Yahweh he lives humankind.
4 Il tuo vestito non ti si è logorato addosso e il tuo piede non si è gonfiato durante questi quarant'anni.
Clothing your not it wore out from on you and foot your not it swelled this forty year[s].
5 Riconosci dunque in cuor tuo che, come un uomo corregge il figlio, così il Signore tuo Dio corregge te.
And you will know with heart your that just as he disciplines everyone child his Yahweh God your [is] disciplining you.
6 Osserva i comandi del Signore tuo Dio camminando nelle sue vie e temendolo;
And you will keep [the] commandments of Yahweh God your by walking in ways his and by fearing him.
7 perché il Signore tuo Dio sta per farti entrare in un paese fertile: paese di torrenti, di fonti e di acque sotterranee che scaturiscono nella pianura e sulla montagna;
For Yahweh God your [will] bring you into a land good a land of torrents of water springs and deeps [which] go forth in the valley and on the mountain.
8 paese di frumento, di orzo, di viti, di fichi e di melograni; paese di ulivi, di olio e di miele;
A land of wheat and barley and vine and fig tree and pomegranate a land of olive tree of oil and honey.
9 paese dove non mangerai con scarsità il pane, dove non ti mancherà nulla; paese dove le pietre sono ferro e dai cui monti scaverai il rame.
A land which not in scarcity you will eat in it food not you will lack anything in it a land which stones its [are] iron and from hills its you will dig copper.
10 Mangerai dunque a sazietà e benedirai il Signore Dio tuo a causa del paese fertile che ti avrà dato.
And you will eat and you will be satisfied and you will bless Yahweh God your on the land good which he has given to you.
11 Guardati bene dal dimenticare il Signore tuo Dio così da non osservare i suoi comandi, le sue norme e le sue leggi che oggi ti dò.
Take heed to yourself lest you should forget Yahweh God your to not to keep commandments his and judgments his and statutes his which I [am] commanding you this day.
12 Quando avrai mangiato e ti sarai saziato, quando avrai costruito belle case e vi avrai abitato,
Lest you should eat and you will be satisfied and houses good you will build and you will dwell.
13 quando avrai visto il tuo bestiame grosso e minuto moltiplicarsi, accrescersi il tuo argento e il tuo oro e abbondare ogni tua cosa,
And herd your and flock your they will increase! and silver and gold it will increase of you and all that [belongs] to you it will increase.
14 il tuo cuore non si inorgoglisca in modo da dimenticare il Signore tuo Dio che ti ha fatto uscire dal paese d'Egitto, dalla condizione servile;
And it will be lifted up heart your and you will forget Yahweh God your who brought out you from [the] land of Egypt from a house of slaves.
15 che ti ha condotto per questo deserto grande e spaventoso, luogo di serpenti velenosi e di scorpioni, terra assetata, senz'acqua; che ha fatto sgorgare per te l'acqua dalla roccia durissima;
Who led you in the wilderness - great and awesome snake - fiery and scorpion and thirsty ground where there not [was] water who brought forth for you water from [the] rock of flint.
16 che nel deserto ti ha nutrito di manna sconosciuta ai tuoi padri, per umiliarti e per provarti, per farti felice nel tuo avvenire.
Who caused to eat you manna in the wilderness which not they had known! ancestors your so as to humble you and so as to put to [the] test you to do good to you in end your.
17 Guardati dunque dal pensare: La mia forza e la potenza della mia mano mi hanno acquistato queste ricchezze.
And you will say in heart your strength my and [the] might of hand my it has acquired for me the wealth this.
18 Ricordati invece del Signore tuo Dio perché Egli ti dà la forza per acquistare ricchezze, al fine di mantenere, come fa oggi, l'alleanza che ha giurata ai tuoi padri.
And you will remember Yahweh God your that he [is] the [one who] gives to you strength to acquire wealth so as to carry out covenant his which he swore to ancestors your as the day this.
19 Ma se tu dimenticherai il Signore tuo Dio e seguirai altri dei e li servirai e ti prostrerai davanti a loro, io attesto oggi contro di voi che certo perirete!
And it will be certainly [if] you will forget Yahweh God your and you will walk after gods other and you will serve them and you will bow down to them I testify against you this day that certainly you will perish!
20 Perirete come le nazioni che il Signore fa perire davanti a voi, perché non avrete dato ascolto alla voce del Signore vostro Dio.
Like the nations which Yahweh [is] about to destroy from before you so you will perish! consequence not you will listen! to [the] voice of Yahweh God your.
