1 Cronache 15
1 Egli si costruì edifici nella città di Davide, preparò il posto per l'arca di Dio ed eresse per essa una tenda.
And David made for him houses in the city of David. And he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.
2 Allora Davide disse: «Nessuno, se non i leviti, porti l'arca di Dio, perché Dio li ha scelti come portatori dell'arca e come suoi ministri per sempre».
Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites, for Jehovah has them chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever.
3 Davide convocò tutto Israele in Gerusalemme per trasportare l'arca del Signore nel posto che le aveva preparato.
And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem to bring up the ark of Jehovah to its place, which he had prepared for it.
4 Davide radunò i figli di Aronne e i leviti.
And David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:
5 Dei figli di Keat: Urièl il capo con i centoventi fratelli;
of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers a hundred and twenty;
6 dei figli di Merari: Asaia il capo con i duecentoventi fratelli;
of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred and twenty;
7 dei figli di Gherson: Gioele il capo con i centotrenta fratelli;
of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers a hundred and thirty;
8 dei figli di Elisafan: Semaia il capo con i duecento fratelli;
of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;
9 dei figli di Ebron: Eliel il capo con gli ottanta fratelli;
of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;
10 dei figli di Uzziel: Amminadàb il capo con i centodieci fratelli.
of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers a hundred and twelve.
11 Davide chiamò i sacerdoti Zadòk ed Ebiatàr e i leviti Urièl, Asaia, Gioele, Semaia, Eliel e Amminadàb
And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab.
12 e disse loro: «Voi siete i capi dei casati levitici. Santificatevi, voi e i vostri fratelli. Quindi trasportate l'arca del Signore, Dio di Israele, nel posto che io le ho preparato.
And said to them, Ye are the heads of the fathers of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brothers, that ye may bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it.
13 Poiché la prima volta voi non c'eravate, il Signore nostro Dio si irritò con noi; non c'eravamo infatti rivolti a voi, come conveniva».
For because ye did not at the first, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, because we did not seek him according to the ordinance.
14 I sacerdoti e i leviti si santificarono per trasportare l'arca del Signore Dio di Israele.
So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
15 I figli dei leviti sollevarono l'arca di Dio sulle loro spalle per mezzo di stanghe, come aveva prescritto Mosè sulla parola del Signore.
And the sons of the Levites bore the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of Jehovah.
16 Davide disse ai capi dei leviti di mandare i loro fratelli, i cantori con gli strumenti musicali, arpe, cetre e cembali, perché, levando la loro voce, facessero udire i suoni di gioia.
And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.
17 I leviti destinarono Eman figlio di Gioele, Asaf uno dei suoi fratelli, figlio di Berechia, e, fra i figli di Merari, loro fratelli, Etan figlio di Kusaia.
So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel. And of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah. And of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah.
18 Con loro c'erano i loro fratelli di secondo grado: Zaccaria, Uzziel, Semiramot, Iechièl, Unni, Eliel, Benaià, Maaseia, Mattatia, Elifel, Micneia, Obed-Edom e Ieièl portieri.
And with them their brothers of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters.
19 I cantori Eman, Asaf ed Etan usavano cembali di bronzo per il loro suono squillante.
So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed with cymbals of brass to sound aloud.
20 Zaccaria, Uzziel, Semiramot, Iechièl, Unni, Eliàb, Maaseia e Benaià suonavano arpe in sordina.
And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries set to Alamoth.
21 Mattatia, Elifel, Micneia, Obed-Edom, Ieièl, Azaria suonavano sull'ottava per dare il tono.
And Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps set to the Sheminith, to lead.
22 Chenania, capo dei leviti, dirigeva l'esecuzione, perché era esperto.
And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song. He instructed about the song because he was skilful.
23 Berechia ed Elkana facevano da portieri presso l'arca.
And Berechiah and Elkanah were porters for the ark.
24 I sacerdoti Sebania, Giòsafat, Netaneèl, Amasài, Zaccaria, Benaià, Eliezer suonavano le trombe davanti all'arca di Dio; Obed-Edom e Iechièl facevano da portieri presso l'arca.
And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the ark of God. And Obed-edom and Jehiah were porters for the ark.
25 Davide, gli anziani di Israele e i capi di migliaia procedettero con gioia al trasporto dell'arca dell'alleanza del Signore dalla casa di Obed-Edom.
So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.
26 Poiché Dio assisteva i leviti che portavano l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, si sacrificarono sette giovenchi e sette arieti.
And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams.
27 Davide indossava un manto di bisso, come pure tutti i leviti che portavano l'arca, i cantori e Chenania che dirigeva l'esecuzione. Davide aveva inoltre un efod di lino.
And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers. And David had upon him an ephod of linen.
28 Tutto Israele accompagnava l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore con grida, con suoni di corno, con trombe e con cembali, suonando arpe e cetre.
Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with psalteries and harps.
29 Quando l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore giunse alla città di Davide, Mical, figlia di Saul, guardando dalla finestra, vide il re danzare e saltare; lo disprezzò in cuor suo.
And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing. And she despised him in her heart.
