< Matayo 19 >
1 U Yesu naiwakondya kuligitya inkani izi, akahega ku Galilaya, hangi akalongola mumpolempole a Yudea kuntongeela amongo wa Jordani.
It came about after Jesus had finished these teachings, that he removed from Galilee, and went to that part of Judea which lay across the Jordan.
2 Mihundo ukulu wa antu ukamutyata, ukapantika uguniki kuko.
A great multitude followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Mafarisayo akamuhanga u Yesu, akamugema, akamuila, Ikutula taine umuntu kumuleka umusungu akwe kunsoko ihi?
Presently some of the Pharisees came up to him, and made test of him by asking, "Is it right for a man to divorce his wife for every cause?"
4 U Yesu asusha akalunga, ''shamusomile ne kina uyu nauauimbile ung'wandyo, auaumbile mitinja nu musungu?
"Have you not read." he answered, "that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said,
5 Hangi akalunga, kunsoko iye umitunja ukumuleka utata akwe nu iakwe nukutula palung'wi numusungu akwe nianso abiili akatula muili ung'wi.
"For this cause shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall be one flesh?
6 Kuluko singa abiili hangi, aina muili ung'wi ingi gwa iko naukikamantilye Itunda, kutile muntu wihi nukukikamantula.
"Thus they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
7 Ikamuiila niki gwa umusa aupamilye ilago li tutu nulakumuleka?
They answered, "Why then did Moses command the husband to give her’a written bill of divorce,’ and so to put her away?"
8 Akaaila kunsoko aukaku wa nkolo yanyu, umusa akaagombya kualike iasungu ao ingigwa kupuma ng'wandyo singa aiza uu.
"Moses," said Jesus, "permitted you to divorce your wives on account of the hardness of your hearts, but from the beginning it was not so.
9 Numuie kina wihi nukumuleka umusungu akwe angwe singa nsoko augoolya nukutina musungu mungiza, ukutula wagoolya, numitunja nukumutina umu sungu naulekilwe la ukutula wagoolya.
"And I tell you that any man who divorces his wife for any cause except her unfaithfulness, and marries another woman, commits adultery."
10 Amwanyisigwa akamuila u Yesu ang'wi uu yili umugoha nu musungu singa iziza kutina.
"If that is the position of a man in relation to his wife," answered the disciples, "it is better not to marry."
11 U Yesu akaila ingi singa kila munti uhumile kusingiilya umanyisi uwu ingi aoiti dunia gombigwe kusingiilya.
He answered them. "Not all are accepting this teaching, but only those to whom it has been granted.
12 Kululo gwa akoli iantu naiaimilwe uhumi wa kituma ikimuili, kupuma niang'wi aiaimilwe uhumi nuanso niantu, niang'wi aimpya nilye age kunsoko itume lukani la kigulu, nuhumile kusingiilya umanyisigwa ausingiilye.
"For there are eunuchs who have been such from birth; others who have been made such by men; and others who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of God. He who is able to receive this, let him receive it."
13 Sunga akatwaila ang'enya anino alume kuaikilya imikono ao nu kulompa iamanyisigwa akwe ikamupatya.
Then young children were brought to him, that he might lay his hands on them and pray. His disciples interfered, but Jesus said to them.
14 U Yesu akaila, ''agombi'' iangenya nianino, laki kuagili kuza kitalame, kunsoko uetemi wa kigulu ingi wa antu anga wawa.
"Let the little children come to me, and forbid them not; for it is to the childlike that the kingdom of heaven belongs."
15 Nung'wenso akaika imikono akwe migulya ao, sunga akahega pang'wanso.
So he laid his hands upon them, and departed from that place.
16 Muntu ung'wi akaza kung'wa Yesu akalunga, ''mumanyisi, kintuni nikiza nini humile kituma sunga mpanlike utemi nuakali nakali. (aiōnios )
But look! a certain man came up to him and asked, "Teacher, what good thing shall I do to inherit eternal life?" (aiōnios )
17 U Yesu akamuila, kuniki nukunkolya ikintu kinikiza? Ukoli ung'wi du numuza, ang'wi uloilwe kupantika uupanga ambiila uunonelya wa ng'wi Tunda.
"Why do you ask me about what is good?" asked Jesus. "There is but One who is good. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."
18 Umuntu nuanso akamukolya, unonelya kii? u Yesu akalunga, leka kubalaga, leka kugoolya, leka kia, leka kuligitya uleele.
"Which commandments?" asked the man. Jesus replied. "Thou shalt not kill; Thou shalt not commit adultery; Thou shalt not steal; Thou shalt not bear false witness;
19 Akulye utata ako nuiako, hangi mulowe umanyakisali anga uewe nizawiloilwe.
"Honor thy father and thy mother; and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
20 Umuntu nuanso akamuila, aya ihi nimakondaniye. Nikiule ni mpee.
The young man answered. "I have carefully kept them all. What yet do I lack?"
21 U Yesu akamuila ang'wi uloilwe kukondanila, longola ende ugulye ihi uape iahimbe ukutula ni kiuto kihunde, sunga nzuu untyate.
"If you want to be perfect," said Jesus, "go, sell your property, give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."
22 Umuhumba yu naiwija ayo nu Yesu naukumuila akahenga akazesiga masigo idu, kunsoko aiwilingie nsao yidu.
But when the young man heard this teaching, he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had much property.
23 U Yesu akaila iamanyisigwa akwe; '' Tai numuiie ikaku umugole kingila muutemi wa kigulu.
So Jesus said to his disciples. "In solemn truth I tell you that a rich man will find it difficult to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 Hangi numuie ingi ipepeele ingami kukiila mibolomyo la sindano, kukila umugole kingila mutemi wa kigulu.
"I tell you again, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."
25 Iamanyisigwa naiija nanso, ikakuilwa nangulu nukulunga, ''Nyenyu gwa nuzegunika?
When they heard this the disciples were utterly astounded. "Who then can be saved?" they exclaimed. Jesus looked at them.
26 U Yesu akaagoza akalunga, kuantu shalihumikile, kung'wi Tunda ihi nanso ahumile.
"With men this is impossible," he said, "but with God all things are possible."
27 Sunga u Petro akamusukiilya akamuila, Goza, kaleka ihi kakatyata uewe, kintu ki nikupantika kitalako?
Whereupon Peter said to Jesus. "Look, Master, we have forsaken everything and followed you. Now what shall be our reward?"
28 Yesu akaila, ''Tai numuie, uyu nuantyatile unene muileli nupya mumatungo na ng'wana wang'wa Adamu, nuzizikie pakatikati pi tundu la ukulu wa mukola, nunye muzizikie migulya amatundu ikumi na abiili na ukulu kumapa ulamulwa makabila ikumi na abiili na Israel.
"In solemn truth I tell you," Jesus answered, "that in the New Creation, when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, you also who have followed me shall sit on twelve thrones, to govern the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 Sunga ung'wi anyu naulekile ito lakwe, aluna niagoha, nawa niasungu, Tata, ia, ana ang'wi mugunda kunsoko a lina lane, ukusingiilya kukila igana, nu kusala uutemi nuakali nakali. (aiōnios )
"And every one who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my sake, shall many times as much, and fall heir to eternal life. (aiōnios )
30 Idu awa niang'wandyo itungili, azetula anyuma, nawa nianyuma azizatula angwandyo.
"But many who are first shall be last, and many who are last shall be first.
