< 2 Petelo 3 >
1 Itungili, kuukilisilya uwe, mulowa ili ibada nila kabiili iti ku ukimbukiilya mu mahala,
This second epistle, beloved, I now write to you; in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 iti kina uhume kukimbukiilya makani nai aligitigwe ze ikili ni anya kidagu ni kutula ilagiilyo nila Mukulu witu hangi muguni ku kutumila i itumi.
That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
3 Ulinge iti ng'wandyo, kina ia hugi aziiza mu mahiku a mpelo; kumuhuga unyenye, aze alongolekile iniganiie nu ulowa nu ao.
Knowing this first, that there will come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 Hangi azeligitya, “Likoli pii ilago ni la kusuka? aTata itu ai akule, kuiti intu yihi ai ituile uu puma ng'wandyo nua u umbwaa.
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.
5 Akitendisa kiwa kina ihi ni ilunde aiyandilye kupumiila ni mazi ikali nia kali, ku ikani ni lang'wa Itunda,
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 ni kina kukiila lukani ni mazi akatula unkumbigulu ku mahiku nanso, Ize ituile izue mazi ai ibepigwe.
By which the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 Kuiti itungili ilunde ni ihi i ekilwe ku lukani lulo luulo kunsoko a moto. IIekilwe kunsoko a luhiku nula ulamulwa nu ulimiligwa nua antu ni shanga ang'wa Itunda.
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 Iki shanga kihumile kuhuga utung'waa nuako, alowa, kina luhuku lung'wi ku mukulu ingi anga i miaka magana anzogu ling'wi, Ni miaka magana a nzogu ling'wi ingi anga luhiku lung'wi.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 Shanga kina Mukulu witumaa ku uembeelu kupikiilya ilagiilyo, anga ni isigiiwe kutula. Kuiti nuanso ingi mugimya kunsoko anyu, nuanso u, mugila nsula ga nung'wi walimile, Kuiti ukete nsula kupumya itungo iti ihi alije kila itunu.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 Anga itule, luhiku nula Mukulu lukupembya anga umii, ilunde likakila ku kukuta ung'wano. Iintu yukulimiligwa ku moto. Ihi ni intu ni imoli ikukunukulwa ng'walyi.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein will be burned up.
11 Kunsoko i intuihi yukulimiligwa ku nzila yiyi. Itii ukutula muntu nua mpyani kii? Wikie ki elu nu likalo nu ki itunda.
[Seeing] then [that] all these things will be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy deportment and godliness,
12 Ikuloeigwe kulinga nu kumanya upepeele u upembyi nua luhiku nualang'wa Itunda. Luhiku nulanso ilunde likalimiligwa ku moto, Ni intu yuku huluganigwa mu upyu utaki.
Looking for and hasting to the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Kuiti kupembelya ni ilago ni lakwe, kulindiie ilunde igeni ni ihi ngeni naiza anya tai ane akikie.
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which dwelleth righteousness.
14 Uugwa alowa kunsoko kusumbiiye intu izi, kagupa kutula wimukendegeeli nu kuhita kusokigwa nu kutula nu ulyuuku palung'wi nu ng'wenso.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 Hangi komaniiilya u ugimya nua Mukulu witu mu ugunwa, anga mulowa heu itu uPaulo, nai umukilisiiye unyenye, kupembelya nu ukulu niiza ai winkeeigwe.
And account [that] the long-suffering of our Lord [is] salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, hath written to you;
16 uPauo ukuganula aya ihi mu ma bada akwe, akoli maintu nize makaku kumalinga, Antu niagila nu upolo nu ukomu aibipilye i intu nianso Ni anga niakituma ku ukilisigwa, kutunga ulimiligwa nuao.
As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 Iti gwa, alowa kunsoko mulingile nanso. Isunji akola iti kina muleke kulimiligwa nu ukongelwa nua uteele nu kulimilya u uhuiili.
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
18 Kuiti mukule mu ukende nu uhugu nua Mukulu hangi muguni uYesu Kilisto, NI itungili ikulyo likoli nu ng'wenso itungili ni kali na kali. Amina. (aiōn )
But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen. (aiōn )
