1 Thesalonike 5
1 Itungili, ku makani a itungo ni matungo, aluna, kutili i nsula kina kintu kihi ki kilisigwe kitalanyu.
But of the times and moments, brethren, you need not, that we should write to you;
2 Ku nsoko u nyenye akola mulingile ku tai tai ni yakina luhiku nula Mukulu lupembilye anga u mii nuipembyaa utiku.
For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall so come, as a thief in the night.
3 Apo ni itambula ikoli, “Ulyuuku nu upanga”, papo u ubipigwa wiazila ki mpumpugiili. Ingi anga u utugi nui muhangaa unyinya ni mulito. Shanga ikahuga ku nzila ihi.
For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape.
4 Kuiti unyenye, aluna mikutili mu kiti ga nu luhiku ulo lu muziile anga mii.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ku ndogoelyo unyenye mihi ingi mi ana a welu hangi ana a mung'wi. uSese shanga ki ana a utiku ang'wi mukiti.
For all you are the children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Iti gwa, kuleke kulala anga auya ni ilala. Ila kelye nu kutula kiahugu.
Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do; but let us watch, and be sober.
7 Ku nsoko ni ilala, ilala utiku ni enso ni igala, igala utiku.
For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunk, are drunk in the night.
8 Ku nsoko usese ingi ana a mung'wi, kutule ahugu. Kutugale i ngula a uhuiili nu ulowa, ni nkompila a shuma, niiza kuku kuuulu nua ugunwa nu itungo nili pembilye.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, having on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
9 Ku nsoko Itungo shanga ai ukuholanilye u ng'wandyo ku nsoko a ikuo, ila ku kulije ugunwa kunzila a Mukulu uYesu Kristo.
For God hath not appointed us unto wrath, but unto the purchasing of salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 uNg'wenso yuyo nai ukushiie iti kina, anga kutulle miho ang'wi kulae, kuikie palung'wi nu ng'wenso.
Who died for us; that, whether we watch or sleep, we may live together with him.
11 Ku lulo, ipoeelyi nu kizenga nyenye ku nyenye, anga niiza yakondile mitumaa.
For which cause comfort one another; and edify one another, as you also do.
12 Aluna, ku umulompa mualinge awo ni itumilwa mukati anyu ni awo niamoli migulya anyu ku Mukulu ni awo ni imusija.
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them who labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you:
13 Ku umulompa mualinge ga nu kuinkiilya u ukulu ku ulowa ku nsoko a mulimo nuao. Mutule nu ulyuuku mu kati anyu unyenye akola.
That you esteem them more abundantly in charity, for their work’s sake. Have peace with them.
14 Ku umusinja, aluna: muahugule nishanga alongoe mu lugendo, akinyili nia humilwe u ukata. A ailyi ni anyeku, hangi mutule agimya ku ihi
And we beseech you, brethren, rebuke the unquiet, comfort the feeble minded, support the weak, be patient towards all men.
15 Gozeeli waleke kutula umoli wihi nui susha u ubi ku ubi ku muntu wihi. Badala akwe, itumi nimakende ku kila ung'wi anyu nu ku antu ihi.
See that none render evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good towards each other, and towards all men.
16 Iloeelyi mahiku ihi.
Always rejoice.
17 Lompi shanga kupikiila impelo.
Pray without ceasing.
18 Mulumbiilyi Itunda ku kila ikani, kunsoko uwo wuwo ulowa nuang'wa Itunda kitalanyu mung'wa Yesu Kristo.
In all things give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you all.
19 Leki kumuhumyi uwai u Ng'wau Ng'welu.
Extinguish not the spirit.
20 Leki ku umeli u unyakidagu.
Despise not prophecies.
21 Magemi i makani ihi. miliambe ni ikende.
But prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Ihuji ni kila wigeeleki nua ubi.
From all appearance of evil refrain yourselves.
23 Itunda nua ulyuuku amukondaniilye mu welu. Nkolo, umi nua muili i ikwe kutili utumuli mu upembyi nuake uMukulu nuitu uYesu Kristo.
And may the God of peace himself sanctify you in all things; that your whole spirit, and soul, and body, may be preserved blameless in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 uNg'wenso nai umitangile ingi ng'welu, nu ng'wenso yuyo munya kituma.
He is faithful who hath called you, who also will do it.
25 Anyandugu, kulompeeli.
Brethren, pray for us.
26 Alamushi i aluna ihi ku ulungili nu welu.
Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 Kumusinja mu Mukulu kina ibada ili lisong'we ku aluna ihi.
I charge you by the Lord, that this epistle be read to all the holy brethren.
28 Ukende nua Mukulu itu uYesu Kristo utule palung'wi nu nyenye.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
