< 1 Petelo 2 >
1 Kululo iki kuli uubi wihi, wieli, wilu, nu kihukilwa.
Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all deceit, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all slander,
2 Anga iang'anya niadabu, mlowe imaele nimaza nakinkolo, ingi gwa muhume kukula muuguniki.
as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby to salvation,
3 Ang'wi malulya kina umukulu muza.
if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good:
4 Nzi kitalakwe nizi gwe nipanga nilikie nili hitilwe niantu, nilanso liholanigwe ni Tunda hangi iza kitalakwe.
coming to him, a living stone, though rejected by people but chosen by God, precious.
5 Unye ingi milianga imagwe nakete upanga nizengwa migulya anyumba na kinkolo, kunsoko audimi nuuza niipumya imasengeelyo na kinkolo nagoombigwe kung'wi Tunda kukiila Yesu Kilisto.
You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Yeshua Meshikha.
6 I andiko liliiye iti “Goza, mbikile mu Sayuni igwe nila kumpelo nikulu naili holanigwe hangi niza, hangi wihi nuhuie kukiila ng'wenso shukuona iminyala”.
Because it is contained in Scripture, "Look, I am laying in Tsehyun a stone, a chosen precious cornerstone, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."
7 Kululo ikulyo ingi lanyu kitalanyu unye nimuhuiie. Ingi gwa igwe naelihitilwe niazengi, ili latula igwe nikulu nilakumpelo.
For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who do not believe, "The stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone,"
8 Igwe lakukumpa, ni talagwe lakukumpa nianso ikumpa, niiluhita ulukani, kua ilo naiahalanigwe kitalao.
and, "a stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over." For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.
9 Ingi unye miukoo naiuholonigwe uudimi nuakitemi, ihi ninza naavitu niautemi wang'wi Tunda, kunsoko muhume kutanantya intendo yaukuilwa niang'wa uyu naumuhegilye mukiti, nukuza muwelu wakwe nuikuilwa.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
10 Unye ung'wandyo shaimiantu, kululo itungili miantu ang'wi Tunda. Unye shaimusingiiye ukende, itungili masingiilya ukende.
who once were not a people, but now are God's people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Alowa numitangila, anga akila nzila niasuuli kiima kupuma munsula nia milandu, izo nikendi kua ninkolo yanyu.
Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and temporary residents, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Inonee kutula ni ntendo ninza kuanya kilungu, anga atula akumutambulila kina mitumile nkani nimbi, akuamba imilimo anyu nimiza nukumukulya Itunda kulu hiku nulakiza kitalakwe.
having good behavior among the nations, so in that of which they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they see, glorify God in the day of visitation.
13 Tula ni kulyo kuantu nikuligwa nianaantu. Kunsoko amukulu, ingi umutemi anga umukulu.
Subject yourselves to every human institution for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme;
14 Ang'wi iakulu aiatumilwe kuakua nukuapisiilya iituma mabi, nukualumbiilya ao neituma nimaza.
or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.
15 Kunsoko ulowa wang'wi Tunda, kua kituma nimaza mukuukilaja uligitya nuanakanda kuantu niapungu.
For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people:
16 Anga antu nimukite ulekelwa, leki kitumila ulekelwa wanyu anga mufuniko kumabi, ingi mtule anga miitumi ang'wi Tunda.
as free, and not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as slaves of God.
17 Tuli ni kulyo kuantu ihi, alowi ianyandugu. Mogopi Itunda mumupe ikolyo umutemi.
Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
18 Atugwa api ikulyo iakulu anyu, kuaikolyo lihi, singa iakulu ao niaza udu, nao niapolo hangi nao niabi.
Servants, be in subjection to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked.
19 Kunsoko lukumo luza ku wihi uyu nukugimya uwai kumatungo nukagigwa panakutili itai kunso augombi wakwe kung'wi Tunda.
For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God.
20 Ntuni nikoli kutula ukoli muitumi nuamilandu kuna uze weendelee kukuwa? Kululo ang'wi mitumile ni maza kunu muzagigwa kuaulamulwa, ulu lukumo luza kung'wi Tunda.
For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God.
21 Kua ili aimitangilwe, kunsoko Ukilisto nung'wenso aiwagigwe kunsoko anyu wamulekela mpyani kunsoko anyu kutyata mpambatilyo yakwe.
For to this you were called, because Meshikha also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
22 Nuanso shaiwitumile imilandu, hangi amugila anga ukongani wihi mumulomo wakwe.
who "committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth."
23 Naukutukilwa shanga akasukiilya, singa aiwogopile kagigwa aiwipumilye ing'wenso apegwe ulumalwa nuatai.
Who, when he was cursed, did not curse back. When he suffered, did not threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;
24 Ingi ngwenso au kenkile imilandu itu mumuili wako mikola la mpanga, sunga kuhege mumilandu, hangi kikie kunsoko atai. Kua kukuwa kung'wakwe unye magunika.
who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose wounds you were healed.
25 Mihi naiza mazepa magila anga nkolo nilimie ingi itungili masuka kumudimi numimiili nuankolo yanyu
For you were going astray like sheep; but now have returned to the Shepherd and Qashisha of your souls.
