2 Kunsoko auhugu wang'wi Tunda. Tata, kua kogigwa nung'waung'welu, kikulyo lang'wa Yesu Kilisto, nuku sansangilwa Isakami akwe, Ukende utule kitalanyu, nupolo wanyu wongeeleke.
according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and sanctified by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.
3 Itunda Tata wa Mukulu witu Yesu Kilisto akembetwe Mukulu nuaupegwa wakwe nuanakanda, au kupee kutugwa upya, kuugimya nuusali kukiila uuki wang'wa Yesu Kilisto kuhega muashi,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,

who by the power of God are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 Lumbiili kua ili, atizemulita kinyauwai itungili. Kitalanyu mumageng'wa aya.
In this you rejoice, even if now for a little while you have had to suffer various trials
7 Iyi ngi kunsoko uhuili wanyu uhume kugeng'wa, uhuili uo nukite insao kukila idhahabu iyo niliimila mumoto nigema uhuili witu. Iyi ipumila kunsoko uhuili witu uhumi kutuga intendo ninza, ukulu nikulyo nila muuki nuang'wa Yesu Kilisto.
so that the proven character of your faith—far more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire—may result in praise, honor, and glory when Jesus Christ is revealed.
8 Shamumuine kunu mumuloilwe, shamumuine itungili kunu muhuie kutalakue hangi mukite ulumbi nukilinkie, nukua ulumbi nuizuig'we nuukulu nuakigulu.
Although you once did not know him, you love him; although you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with an unspeakable and glorious joy,
9 Itungili mukusingiilya impelo au huili wanyu, uguniki wa nkolo yanyu.
because you are receiving the end result of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
10 Ianyakidagu akuduma, nukukolya uulya nua uguniki uwu, kuukende nauzetula kitalanyu.
Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated,
11 Akaduma kulinga izezewiule uuguniki uu nauziziza. Akaduma hangi kulinga matungo ki ung'waung'welu wang'wa Kilisto nukoli mitalao aukuligitya ntuninienso. Ili ailupumila matungo naizawazeaila ung'wandyo kina uagigwi wang'wa Kilisto nuukulu nuuze mutyata.
inquiring about the time and circumstances that the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when he testified in advance to the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
12 Ikakunukulwa kuanyakidagu kuza aitumila munkani zizi, hangi singa kunsoko itu, ao mahumo na nkani izi kukiila ao naialetile ulukani lang'wa Kilisto kitalanyu kunzila ang'wa ng'waung'welu nautumilwe kupuma kigulu, inkani izi ingi ataiamalaika akulowa kukunukulwa kitalakwe.
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in regard to the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to catch a glimpse of these things.
13 Kululo tungi ilino niamahala anyu, mutule miapolo mumasigo anyu, mutula nuugimya nuukendo uo nauletilwa kitalanyu imatungo nakukunukuilwa u Yesu Kilisto.
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
14 Anga iang'enya niakete ikilyo, muleke kutungwa ni nsula izo nai mutyatile imatungo naimukili miagila imahala.
As children of obedience, do not conform yourselves to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.
15 Kululo anga naimilangilwe nuyu numuza, nunye, mutule miaza, ni ntendo yanyu yihi muikali.
But just as he who called you is holy, you also must be holy in all your conduct,
16 Kunsoko yandikilwe, mutule miaza, kunsoko unene ni muza.
for it is written, “Be holy, because I am holy.”
17 Ang'wi mukitanga “Tata” uyu nuilamula itai kuitumi wa kila umuntu, itumile imatungo na muhinzo ako muuza.
If you call on the Father who judges without partiality according to each person's work, pass the time of your sojourn in reverent fear.
18 Mulingile kina singa ai mpia ang'wi dhahabu, maintu nigazika ayo nimugunilwe kupuma muntendo yanyu nia upugu, izo naimimanyisilye kupuma kua tata anyu.
For you know that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold,
19 Kululo mugunilwe nasakami iyi ni kulyo lang'wa Kilisto, anga na nkolo ningila uwilu ni bado.
but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot.
20 Ukilisto aukoli ka nu ng'wandyo wa unkuloigulu aukili, ingi gwa itungili imahiku aya nampelo wakunukulwa kitalanyu.
He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.
21 Mumuhuie Itunda kukiila ng'wenso, ni Tunda aumutyatile kupuma kuashi hangi naumupee ukulu kina uhuili wanyu nugimya wanyu utule kung'wi Tunda.
Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Mitumile inkolo yanyu kutula nzelu kua ugombi nua tai iyo, kunsoko au lowi nuakinyandugu nuugoloki, kululo ilowi kungulu kupuma munkolo yanyu.
Since you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth through the Spirit, resulting in genuine brotherly love, love one another deeply, from a pure heart.
23 Malelwa kulukangala laka biili, singa kumbeu nigazika, ingi kupuma kumbeu nisinga igazika, kukiila upanga nulukani lang'wi Tunda nulusagiie. (aiōn g165)
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the word of God that lives and abides forever. (aiōn g165)
24 Kunsoko, imiili ihi anga imatutu nuukulu wakwe anga iua niti tutu. Itutu linyala iua ligwiza.
For, “All flesh is like grass, and all the glory of man is like a flower of grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls,
