Yosua 13

1 Ketika Yosua sudah sangat tua, TUHAN berkata kepadanya, “Kamu sudah sangat tua, dan masih begitu banyak daerah yang belum kalian kuasai.

Now Joshua was old, well stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old, stricken in years, and of the land there remaineth yet very much to be taken possession of.

2 Kalian belum merebut seluruh wilayah orang Filistin dan seluruh wilayah orang Gesur,

This is the land that yet remaineth: All the circles of the Philistines, and all [the land of the] Geshurites,

3 mulai dari sungai Sikor di sebelah timur Mesir sampai ke perbatasan kota Ekron di sebelah utara, yang dianggap wilayah orang Kanaan. Lima raja orang Filistin dari kota Gaza, kota Asdod, kota Askelon, kota Gat, dan kota Ekron masih menguasai daerah itu. Kalian juga belum merebut wilayah orang Awi

From the Shichor, which runneth before Egypt, even unto the boundary of 'Ekron northward, is counted to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazzathites, and the Ashdodites, the Eshkelonites, the Gittites, and the 'Ekronites; also the 'Avvim;

4 di selatan. Di utara, kalian belum merebut seluruh wilayah orang Kanaan, termasuk kota Meara, yang dikuasai orang Sidon, sampai ke kota Afek, dan sampai ke perbatasan wilayah bangsa Amori.

On the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Me'arah that belongeth to the Zidonians, up to Aphek, up to the border of the Emorites;

5 Juga wilayah orang Gebal, seluruh gunung Libanon di sebelah timur, mulai dari kota Baal Gad di kaki gunung Hermon sampai ke jalan yang menuju kota Hamat,

And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the rising of the sun, from Ba'al-gad under mount Chermon up to the entrance of Chamath.

6 juga daerah pegunungan mulai dari Libanon sampai ke kota Misrefot Maim, yang ditempati orang Sidon. “Aku akan mengusir mereka dari hadapan Israel. Hanya saja, kamu harus membagikan tanah ini kepada orang Israel menjadi warisan mereka, seperti yang sudah Aku perintahkan kepadamu.

All the inhabitants of the mountain from Lebanon unto Missrephoth-mayim, all the Zidonians: these will I drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

7 Nah, bagikanlah tanah itu kepada sembilan suku Israel dan kepada separuh suku Manasye menjadi milik warisan mereka.”

And now divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

8 Separuh suku Manasye yang lain, suku Ruben, dan suku Gad sudah menerima warisan mereka dari Musa, hamba TUHAN itu, di sebelah timur sungai Yordan.

With him the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave unto them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord hath given them;

9 Wilayah mereka terbentang mulai dari Aroer di tepi sungai Arnon, juga kota yang terletak di tengah Lembah Arnon, dan seluruh dataran tinggi Medeba sampai ke Dibon.

From 'Aro'er, that is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba up to Dibon;

10 Wilayah mereka juga termasuk semua kota yang sebelumnya dikuasai oleh Sihon, raja orang Amori yang memerintah dari kota Hesbon, sampai ke perbatasan daerah bangsa Amon,

And all the cities of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned over Cheshbon, up to the border of the children of 'Ammon;

11 juga daerah Gilead, daerah orang Gesur dan orang Maaka, seluruh pegunungan Hermon, seluruh daerah Basan sampai ke Salka,

And Gil'ad, and the territory of the Geshurites and Ma'achathites, and all mount Chermon, and all Bashan up to Salchah;

12 dan seluruh kerajaan Og di Basan, yang memerintah di Astarot dan Edrei. Raja Og adalah salah satu orang Refaim yang masih hidup. Musa mengalahkan dan mengusir bangsa-bangsa itu.

All the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, who reigned in 'Ashtaroth and in Edre'i; who had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim; and Moses smote them, and cast them out.

13 Tetapi bangsa Israel tidak menyingkirkan orang Gesur dan orang Maaka. Jadi, mereka masih tinggal di tengah-tengah orang Israel sampai saat kitab ini ditulis.

Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites; but the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites continued to dwell in the midst of the Israelites until this day.

14 Hanya suku Lewi yang tidak diberi tanah warisan. Yang menjadi warisannya adalah kurban-kurban yang dibakar bagi TUHAN, Allah Israel, seperti yang sudah dijanjikan-Nya kepada mereka.

Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance: the fire-offerings of the Lord, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.

15 Inilah tanah yang diberikan kepada marga-marga dalam suku Ruben sebagai warisan mereka.

And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families;

16 Wilayah mereka mulai dari Aroer di tepi sungai Arnon, juga kota yang terletak di tengah Lembah Arnon, dan seluruh dataran tinggi Medeba.

And their territory was from 'Aro'er, that is on the bank of the brook Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba;

17 Wilayah mereka juga termasuk Hesbon dan semua kota lainnya di dataran tinggi itu, yakni Dibon, Bamot Baal, Bet Baal Meon,

Cheshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-ba'al, and Beth-ba'al-me'on,

18 Yahas, Kedemot, Mefaat,

And Yahzah, and Kedemoth, and Mepha'ath,

19 Kiryataim, Sibma, Zeret Hasahar yang terletak di atas gunung di lembah,

And Kiryathayim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-hashachar on the mount of the valley,

20 Bet Peor, lereng-lereng gunung Pisga, dan Bet Yesimot.

And Beth-pe'or, and the declivities of Pisgah, and Beth-hayeshimoth,

21 Semua kota di dataran tinggi dan semua wilayah Raja Sihon menjadi milik suku Ruben. Raja Sihon adalah raja bangsa Amori yang memerintah dari Hesbon, dan yang dibunuh bersama para pemimpin orang Midian oleh Musa. Para pemimpin orang Midian ini bernama Ewi, Rekem, Hur, Zur, dan Reba. Tadinya mereka tinggal di wilayah Raja Sihon dan tunduk kepadanya.

And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sichon the king of the Emorites, who reigned in Cheshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Chur, and Reba', the dukes of Sichon, the dwellers of the country.

22 Orang Israel juga membunuh seorang peramal bernama Bileam anak Beor, bersama-sama dengan yang lainnya.

And Bil'am the son of Be'or, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among their slain.

23 Batas wilayah suku Ruben di sebelah barat adalah sungai Yordan. Demikianlah kota-kota dan desa-desa di wilayah ini diberikan kepada marga-marga dalam suku Ruben sebagai warisan mereka.

And the boundary of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and its bordering territory. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and their villages.

24 Musa juga memberikan tanah kepada marga-marga dalam suku Gad sebagai warisan mereka.

And Moses gave unto the tribe of Gad, unto the children of Gad according to their families;

25 Wilayah mereka meliputi kota Yazer, semua kota di daerah Gilead, dan setengah dari daerah orang Amon sampai ke kota Aroer, yang terletak di dekat kota Raba.

And their territory was Ya'zer, and all the cities of Gil'ad, and half the land of the children of 'Ammon, up to 'Aro'er that is before Rabbah;

26 Wilayah mereka juga termasuk daerah dari kota Hesbon sampai ke kota Ramat Mispa dan kota Betonim, juga daerah dari kota Mahanaim sampai ke perbatasan kota Debir.

And from Cheshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Machanayim up to the border of Debir;

27 Wilayah mereka di lembah Yordan termasuk kota Bet Haram, Bet Nimra, Sukot, dan Zafon, sisa dari kekuasaan raja Sihon di Hesbon. Di sebelah barat, wilayah suku Gad dibatasi oleh sungai Yordan sampai ke ujung selatan danau Galilea.

And in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sichon the king of Cheshbon, the Jordan and its bordering territory, up to the edge of the sea of Kinnereth on the other side of the Jordan eastward.

28 Demikianlah kota-kota dan desa-desa di wilayah ini diberikan kepada marga-marga dalam suku Gad sebagai warisan mereka.

This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities and their villages.

29 Musa juga memberikan tanah kepada marga-marga dalam separuh suku Manasye sebagai warisan mereka.

And Moses gave unto the half tribe of Menasseh; and it belonged to the half tribe of the children of Menasseh after their families;

30 Wilayah mereka mulai dari kota Mahanaim, termasuk seluruh daerah Basan yang sebelumnya dikuasai oleh Raja Og, juga enam puluh desa di daerah Basan yang direbut oleh Yair, keturunan Manasye.

And their territory was from Machanayim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of 'Og the king of Bashan, and all the villages of Ya'ir, which are in Bashan, sixty cities;

31 Wilayah mereka juga termasuk setengah daerah Gilead, serta kota Astarot dan kota Edrei, yang merupakan pusat kerajaan Og di Basan. Seluruh wilayah ini diberikan sebagai warisan kepada marga-marga dalam separuh suku Manasye, yaitu setengah dari keturunan Makir, anak Manasye.

And half Gil'ad and 'Ashtaroth, and Edre'i, the cities of the kingdom of 'Og in Bashan, [belonged] unto the children of Machir the son of Menasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir after their families.

32 Demikianlah tanah warisan yang Musa bagikan di dataran tinggi Moab, di sebelah timur sungai Yordan dekat kota Yeriko.

These are they to whom Moses did distribute an inheritance in the plans of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.

33 Akan tetapi, Musa tidak memberikan tanah warisan kepada suku Lewi. Yang menjadi warisan mereka adalah TUHAN, Allah Israel, seperti yang sudah TUHAN janjikan kepada mereka.

But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the Lord the God of Israel is himself their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.
