2 Samuel 2
1 Beberapa waktu kemudian, Daud bertanya kepada TUHAN, “Apakah sebaiknya aku pergi ke salah satu kota di Yehuda?” Jawab TUHAN kepadanya, “Ya, pergilah.” Tanya Daud, “Ke kota manakah aku harus pergi?” Jawab TUHAN, “Hebron.”
And it was after thus and he enquired David by Yahweh - saying ¿ will I go up in one of [the] cities of Judah and he said Yahweh to him go up and he said David where? will I go up and he said Hebron towards.
2 Maka Daud pergi ke Hebron bersama kedua istrinya, yaitu Ahinoam, orang Yisreel, dan Abigail, janda Nabal dari Karmel.
And he went up there David and also [the] two wives his Ahinoam the Jezreelite [woman] and Abigail [the] wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
3 Daud juga membawa pasukannya, masing-masing dengan keluarga mereka. Lalu mereka menetap di Hebron dan desa-desa sekitarnya.
And men his who [were] with him he brought up David each man and household his and they dwelt in [the] cities of Hebron.
4 Kemudian datanglah orang-orang dari suku Yehuda kepada Daud. Mereka mengurapi Daud dan melantik dia menjadi raja atas suku Yehuda. Setelah diberitahukan kepada Daud bahwa orang-orang Benyamin dari kota Yabes di wilayah Gilead sudah menguburkan mayat Saul,
And they came [the] people of Judah and they anointed there David to king over [the] house of Judah and people told to David saying [the] men of Jabesh Gilead who they buried Saul.
5 Daud mengutus pembawa pesan kepada mereka untuk menyampaikan, “Semoga TUHAN memberkati kalian, karena kalian sudah menunjukkan kesetiaan kepada Saul, tuanmu, dengan menguburkan mayatnya.
And he sent David messengers to [the] people of Jabesh Gilead and he said to them [be] blessed you by Yahweh that you have done the loyalty this with lord your with Saul and you have buried him.
6 Kiranya TUHAN menunjukkan kesetiaan-Nya kepada kalian, dan saya pun akan berbuat demikian, sebab kalian sudah berbuat baik kepada Saul.
And now may he do Yahweh with you covenant loyalty and faithfulness and also I I will do with you the good this that you have done the thing this.
7 Dengan kematian tuan kita Saul, saya sudah dilantik sebagai raja oleh suku Yehuda. Saya mohon supaya kalian kuat dan berani untuk mendukung saya juga.”
And now - let them be strong hands your and become sons of strength for he has died lord your Saul and also me they have anointed [the] house of Judah to king over them.
8 Sementara hal itu terjadi, panglima pasukan Saul, yaitu Abner anak Ner, sudah membawa Isboset anak Saul ke Mahanaim
And Abner [the] son of Ner [the] commander of [the] army which [belonged] to Saul he had taken Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul and he had brought over him Mahanaim.
9 untuk melantik dia sebagai raja atas wilayah Gilead dan Yisreel, beserta suku Asyer, Efraim, dan Benyamin. Dengan demikian Isboset menjadi raja atas seluruh Israel, kecuali suku Yehuda.
And he made king him to Gilead and to the Ashurite[s] and to Jezreel and over Ephraim and over Benjamin and over Israel all of it.
10 Isboset berumur 40 tahun sewaktu mulai memerintah atas Israel, dan dia memerintah selama dua tahun. Namun, suku Yehuda tetap setia kepada Daud.
[was] a son of Forty year[s] Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul when became king he over Israel and two years he reigned only [the] house of Judah they were after David.
11 Daud menjadi raja di Hebron atas orang-orang Yehuda selama tujuh tahun enam bulan.
And it was [the] number of the days which he was David king in Hebron over [the] house of Judah seven years and six months.
12 Suatu hari, Abner dan para pasukan Isboset keluar dari Mahanaim menuju kota Gibeon.
And he went out Abner [the] son of Ner and [the] servants of Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul from Mahanaim Gibeon towards.
13 Pada saat yang sama, Yoab anak Zeruya memimpin pasukan Daud keluar untuk berhadapan dengan pasukan Isboset di kolam Gibeon. Pihak Abner berada di salah satu sisi kolam, sedangkan pihak Yoab berada di seberang mereka.
And Joab [the] son of Zeruiah and [the] servants of David they went out and they met them at [the] pool of Gibeon together and they sat down these [men] at the pool from this and these [men] at the pool from this.
14 Kata Abner kepada Yoab, “Biarlah anak buah kita maju dan bertarung di hadapan kita.” Kata Yoab, “Baiklah!”
And he said Abner to Joab let them arise please the young men and let them play before us and he said Joab let them arise.
15 Maka dipilihlah dua belas orang dari suku Benyamin untuk maju mewakili pihak Isboset anak Saul, dan dua belas orang mewakili pihak Daud.
And they arose and they passed by by number two [plus] ten for Benjamin and for Ish-bosheth [the] son of Saul and two [plus] ten from [the] servants of David.
16 Saat mereka berhadapan satu sama lain, mereka saling menangkap kepala lawannya dan menusukkan pedang ke perut lawannya masing-masing, sehingga kedua puluh empat orang yang maju itu mati bersama. Itulah sebabnya tempat di Gibeon itu dinamai Ladang Pedang.
And they took hold each - on [the] head of neighbor his and sword his [was] in [the] side of neighbor his and they fell together and someone called the place that Helkath Hazzurim which [is] in Gibeon.
17 Pertempuran tersebut berlangsung amat sengit. Abner dan pasukan Israel dikalahkan oleh pasukan Daud.
And it was the battle severe up to muchness on the day that and he was defeated Abner and [the] men of Israel before [the] servants of David.
18 Ada tiga orang anak Zeruya yang berada dalam pertempuran itu, yakni Yoab, Abisai, dan Asael. Asael mampu berlari secepat kijang.
And they were there three [the] sons of Zeruiah Joab and Abishai and Asahel and Asahel [was] swift on feet his like one of the gazelles which [are] in the open country.
19 Asael terus mengejar dan mengikuti Abner tanpa henti.
And he pursued Asahel after Abner and not he turned aside to go to the right and to the left from after Abner.
20 Lalu Abner menengok ke belakang dan bertanya, “Apakah itu kamu, Asael?!” Jawab Asael, “Ya, ini saya!”
And he turned Abner behind him and he said ¿ you [is] this O Asahel and he said I.
21 Kata Abner kepadanya, “Berhentilah mengejar saya! Bunuhlah salah satu tentara lain dan ambillah segala perlengkapan darinya!” Tetapi Asael tidak mau berhenti mengejar Abner.
And he said to him Abner turn aside for yourself to right your or to left your and seize for yourself one from the young men and take for yourself spoils his and not he was willing Asahel to turn aside from after him.
22 Berkatalah Abner sekali lagi kepada Asael, “Berhentilah mengejar saya! Saya tidak mau membunuhmu! Bagaimana nanti saya bisa menghadap kakakmu Yoab?!”
And he repeated again Abner to say to Asahel turn aside for yourself from after me why? will I strike you [the] ground towards and how? will I lift up face my to Joab brother your.
23 Namun, Asael tetap menolak untuk berhenti. Maka ketika Asael mendekati Abner dari belakang, Abner menusukkan pangkal tombaknya ke belakang mengenai perut Asael sehingga menembus punggungnya. Lalu jatuhlah Asael dan mati di tempat itu juga. Semua tentara Daud yang melihat Asael terbunuh berhenti mengejar musuh untuk menengok mayatnya.
And he refused to turn aside and he struck him Abner with [the] back end of the spear into the belly and it went out the spear from behind him and he fell there and he died (in place his *Q(K)*) and it was every [one] who came to the place where he fell there Asahel and he died and they stood still.
24 Mendengar apa yang terjadi dengan Asael, maka Yoab, Abisai, dan para tentara yang bersama mereka terus mengejar Abner dan pasukannya yang masih hidup. Pada saat matahari terbenam, pasukan Abner tiba di bukit Ama, dekat Gia, di jalan yang menuju ke padang belantara Gibeon.
And they pursued Joab and Abishai after Abner and the sun it set and they they came to [the] hill of Ammah which [is] on [the] face of Giah [the] way of [the] wilderness of Gibeon.
25 Di sana para tentara dari suku Benyamin berkelompok di belakang Abner dan mengatur barisan mereka di atas bukit itu.
And they gathered together [the] descendants of Benjamin behind Abner and they became a band one and they stood on [the] top of a hill one.
26 Kemudian Abner berseru kepada Yoab, “Apakah kita akan selalu menyelesaikan persoalan di antara kita dengan pedang?! Tidakkah kamu sadar bahwa satu-satunya hal yang akan tersisa hanyalah dendam satu sama lain! Kapan kamu akan menyuruh pasukanmu berhenti mengejar saudara mereka sebangsa?!”
And he called out Abner to Joab and he said ¿ to perpetuity will it devour [the] sword ¿ not do you know? that bitter it will be at the last and until when? not will you say to the people to turn back from after brothers their.
27 Jawab Yoab, “Demi Allah yang hidup, jika kamu tidak berkata demikian, maka aku dan pasukanku tidak akan berhenti mengejar kalian sepanjang malam bahkan sampai pagi! Padahal kita ini bersaudara.”
And he said Joab [by] [the] life of God if if not you had spoken for then from the morning it had abandoned pursuit the people each from after brother his.
28 Lalu Yoab meniup terompet, sehingga semua pasukannya berhenti mengejar dan bertempur dengan pasukan pihak Israel.
And he gave a blast Joab on the trumpet and they stood all the people and not they pursued again after Israel and not they repeated again to wage war.
29 Sepanjang malam itu Abner dan pasukannya kembali melalui lembah Yordan. Kemudian mereka menyeberangi sungai Yordan dan berjalan sepanjang pagi sampai tiba di Mahanaim.
And Abner and men his they went in the Arabah all the night that and they passed over the Jordan and they went all Bitron and they came Mahanaim.
30 Setelah Yoab kembali dari mengejar Abner, dia mengumpulkan dan menghitung pasukan Daud. Ada sembilan belas tentara yang meninggal dalam perang, selain Asael.
And Joab he returned from after Abner and he gathered all the people and they were missed of [the] servants of David nine-teen man and Asah-el.
31 Akan tetapi, pasukan Daud menewaskan tiga ratus enam puluh orang pasukan Abner, yang semuanya dari suku Benyamin.
And [the] servants of David they had struck down of Benjamin and among [the] men of Abner three hundred and sixty man they had died.
32 Lalu Yoab dan pasukan Daud itu membawa jenazah Asael ke kuburan keluarganya yang ada di Betlehem dan menguburkannya di situ. Kemudian mereka berjalan sepanjang malam dan tiba kembali di Hebron saat fajar.
And people lifted up Asahel and they buried him in [the] tomb of father his which [was] Beth-lehem and they went all the night Joab and men his and it became light for them at Hebron.
