1 Samuel 9
1 Di antara orang-orang dari suku Benyamin, ada seorang pria yang terkemuka, namanya Kis, anak Abiel. Abiel adalah anak Zeror, Zeror adalah anak Bekorat, dan Bekorat adalah anak Afiah dari suku Benyamin.
And `a man was of Beniamyn, `Cys bi name, the sone of Abiel, sone of Seor, sone of Bethor, sone of Aphia, sone of the man Gemyny, strong in bodili myyt.
2 Kis memiliki seorang anak laki-laki bernama Saul. Saul adalah seorang pemuda yang sangat tampan dan tinggi badannya melebihi rata-rata orang Israel, yang hanya sebahunya. Tidak ada seorang pun di antara orang Israel yang melebihi tingginya.
And to hym was a sone, Saul bi name, chosun and good; and no man of the sones of Israel was betere than he; fro the schuldur and aboue he apperide ouer al the puple.
3 Suatu hari beberapa ekor keledai milik Kis hilang. Kis berkata kepada Saul, “Anakku, bawalah seorang budak laki-laki bersamamu dan pergi mencari keledai-keledai kita itu.”
Sotheli the femal assis of Cys, the fadir of Saul, perischyden. And Cys seide to Saul his sone, Take with thee oon of the children, and rise thou, and go, and seke the femal assis. And whanne thei hadden go bi the hil of Effraym,
4 Lalu Saul bersama budaknya menelusuri daerah perbukitan Efraim, terus ke daerah Salisa. Kemudian mereka masuk daerah Sahalim, dan mencari di seluruh wilayah Benyamin. Tetapi mereka tidak menemukan keledai-keledai itu.
and bi the lond of Salisa, and hadden not foundun, thei passiden also bi the lond of Salym, and tho weren not there; but also 'thei passiden bi the lond of Gemyny, and founden not.
5 Pada saat mereka sampai di daerah Zuf, berkatalah Saul kepada budak itu, “Ayo, mari kita pulang. Jangan sampai bapakku lebih mengkuatirkan kita daripada keledai-keledai itu.”
Sotheli whanne thei hadden come in to the lond of Suph, and hadden not founde, Saul seide to his child that was with hym, Come thou, and turne we ayen; lest perauenture my fadir hath lefte the femal assis, and is bisy for vs.
6 Budak itu menjawab, “Oh, tiba-tiba saya teringat! Di kota ini ada seorang hamba Allah. Dia sangat dihormati sebagai nabi karena segala sesuatu yang dikatakannya benar-benar terjadi. Mari kita pergi menemui dia, barangkali dia bisa memberi petunjuk kepada kita di mana keledai-keledai itu berada.”
Which child seide to hym, Lo! the man of God is in this citee, a noble man; al thing that he spekith, cometh with out doute. Now therfor go we thidir, if perauenture he schewe to vs of oure weie, for which we camen.
7 Lalu kata Saul kepadanya, “Baiklah, kita bisa saja pergi menemui dia! Tetapi kita tidak memiliki apa-apa untuk diberikan sebagai hadiah, bahkan makanan kita pun sudah habis. Apa yang bisa kita berikan kepadanya?”
And Saul seide to his child, Lo! we schulen go; what schulen we bere to the man of God? Breede failide in oure scrippis, and we han no present, that we yyue to the man of God, `nether ony othir thing.
8 Budak itu menjawab, “Kebetulan saya punya sekeping perak 3 gram. Kita bisa memberikan kepadanya supaya dia memberitahu kepada kita ke mana kita harus pergi.”
Eft the child answeride to Saul, and seide, Lo! the fourthe part of `a stater, that is, a cicle, of siluer is foundun in myn hond; yyue we to the man of God, that he schewe to vs oure weie.
9 (Pada waktu itu, biasanya seorang nabi disebut sebagai ‘pelihat.’ Apabila orang ingin mengetahui kehendak Allah, mereka berkata, “Ayo, marilah kita pergi kepada pelihat.”)
Sumtyme in Israel ech man goynge to counsel God spak thus, Come ye, and go we to the seere; for he, that is seid `to dai a profete, was clepid sumtyme a seere.
10 Berkatalah Saul, “Baiklah! Ayo, kita pergi.” Mereka pun pergi ke kota tempat tinggal hamba Allah itu.
And Saul seide to his child, `Thi word is the beste; come thou, go we. And thei yeden in to the citee, `in which the man of God was.
11 Ketika melalui jalan mendaki bukit yang menuju ke kota, mereka bertemu dengan beberapa gadis yang hendak pergi ke sumur untuk menimba air. Saul dan budak itu bertanya kepada para gadis itu, “Apakah pelihat itu ada di sini?”
And whanne thei stieden in to the hiynesse of the citee, thei founden damesels goynge out to drawe watir, and thei seiden to the dameselis, Whether the seere is here?
12 Para gadis itu menjawab, “Ya, dia ada di sini. Baru saja dia datang untuk memimpin acara mempersembahkan kurban bagi TUHAN demi rakyat, di mezbah yang ada di puncak bukit ini.
Whiche dameselis answeriden, and seiden to hem, He is here; lo! he is bifor thee; `haste thou now, for to day he cam in to the citee; for to dai is sacrifice of the puple in the hiy place.
13 Kalian bisa menemuinya saat kalian masuk ke dalam kota, sebelum dia naik ke bukit untuk makan. Para undangan tidak akan memulai acara sebelum dia tiba, karena dia harus memberkati kurban terlebih dahulu. Sesudah itu, para undangan akan makan. Sebaiknya kalian segera naik, karena inilah saatnya kalian bisa bertemu dengan dia.”
Ye schulen entre in to the citee, and anoon ye schulen fynde hym, bifor that he stie in to the hiy place to ete; for the puple schal not ete til he come, for he schal blesse the sacrifice, and afterward thei schulen ete that ben clepid. Now therfor stie ye, for to day ye schulen fynde hym.
14 Ketika Saul dan budak itu sedang memasuki pintu gerbang kota itu, mereka bertemu dengan Samuel, yang sedang berjalan naik menuju ke bukit.
And thei stieden in to the citee. And whanne thei yeden in the myddis of the citee, Samuel apperide goynge out ayens hem, that he schulde stie in to the hiy place.
15 Sehari sebelum Saul datang, TUHAN sudah memberitahu Samuel,
Forsothe the Lord `hadde maad reuelacioun in the eere of Samuel `bifor o dai, that Saul cam, and seide,
16 “Besok kira-kira pada waktu yang sama seperti saat ini, Aku akan mengirimkan kepadamu seorang laki-laki muda dari tanah Benyamin. Urapilah dia sebagai raja atas umat-Ku Israel. Dia akan menyelamatkan umat-Ku dari kekuasaan bangsa Filistin. Karena Aku berbelas kasihan kepada umat-Ku, dan tangisan mereka sudah terdengar oleh-Ku!”
In this same our which is now to morewe, Y schal sende to thee a man of the lond of Beniamyn, and thou schalt anoynte hym duyk on my puple Israel, and he schal saue my puple fro the hond of Filisteis; for Y haue biholde my puple, for `the cry of hem cam to me.
17 Saat Samuel melihat Saul, TUHAN berkata kepadanya, “Inilah dia yang sudah Aku katakan kepadamu! Dia akan memerintah atas umat-Ku.”
And whanne Samuel hadde biholde Saul, the Lord seide to Samuel, Lo! the man, whom Y seide to thee; this man schal be lord of my puple.
18 Saat itu juga Saul mendekati Samuel di pintu gerbang dan bertanya kepadanya, “Bisakah Bapak memberitahu saya di mana rumah sang pelihat itu?”
Forsothe Saul neiyede to Samuel in the myddis of the yate, and seide, Y preye, schewe thou to me, where is the hows of the seere?
19 Jawab Samuel kepada Saul, “Sayalah pelihat itu! Pergilah mendahului saya ke tempat mezbah di puncak bukit. Hari ini kita akan makan bersama. Besok pagi saya akan menjawab pertanyaanmu, lalu kamu boleh pulang.
And Samuel answeride to Saul, and seide, Y am the seere; stie thou bifor me in to the hiy place, that thou ete with me to dai, and Y schal delyuere thee in the morewtid, and Y schal schewe to thee alle thingis that ben in thin herte.
20 Jangan kuatir tentang keledai-keledaimu yang hilang tiga hari yang lalu, karena mereka sudah ditemukan. Tetapi kamu dan keluargamu adalah inti dari harapan seluruh bangsa Israel!”
And be thou not bisy of the femal assis, whiche thou lostist the thridde dai agoon, for tho ben foundun; and whose schulen be alle the beste thingis of Israel, whether not to thee, and to al the hows of thi fader?
21 Tetapi Saul menjawab, “Saya hanya orang biasa yang berasal dari suku Benyamin, suku yang paling kecil dari antara semua suku Israel. Dan keluarga saya dianggap paling rendah dari antara semua keluarga di suku itu. Mengapa Bapak berkata seperti itu kepada saya?”
Sotheli Saul answeride, and seide, Whether Y am not a sone of Gemyny, of the leeste lynage of Israel, and my kynrede is the laste among alle the meynees of the lynage of Beniamyn? Whi therfor hast thou spoke to me this word?
22 Lalu Samuel mengantar Saul dan budak itu ke sebuah ruang pertemuan besar yang ada di dekat mezbah itu dan memberikan tempat duduk yang utama kepada mereka di hadapan seluruh undangan. Jumlah para undangan sekitar tiga puluh orang.
Therfor Samuel took Saul, and his child, and ledde hem in to the chaumbur of thre ordris, and he yaf to hem a place in the bigynnyng of hem that weren clepid; for thei weren as thretti men.
23 Kata Samuel kepada juru masak, “Berikanlah kepadanya bagian daging terbaik yang saya minta kamu sisihkan untuk tamu terhormat.”
And Samuel seide to the cook, Yyue thou the part, which Y yaf to thee, and comaundide, that thou schuldist kepe bi it silf anentis thee.
24 Maka juru masak itu mengambilnya dan meletakkan daging pilihan dari bagian paha di hadapan Saul. Berkatalah Samuel kepada Saul, “Inilah bagian yang disediakan khusus untukmu dalam pesta makan ini! Makanlah bersama dengan tamu-tamu yang saya undang menghadiri pesta ini.” Maka Saul makan bersama Samuel pada hari itu.
Sotheli the cook reiside the schuldir, and settide bifor Saul. And Samuel seide, Lo! that, that lefte, `sette thou bifor thee, and ete; for of purpos it was kept to thee, whanne Y clepide the puple. And Saul eet with Samuel in that dai.
25 Sesudah itu mereka kembali ke rumah Samuel di kota, Samuel dan Saul berbincang-bincang di bagian atap rumahnya.
And thei camen doun fro the hiy place in to the citee; and Samuel spak with Saul in the soler, and Saul `araiede a bed in the soler, and slepte.
26 Pagi-pagi saat fajar, Samuel memanggil Saul yang tidur di bagian atap rumah, “Bangunlah! Sudah waktunya berangkat. Aku akan mengantarkan kamu ke pinggir kota.” Saul bangun, lalu mereka berangkat.
And whanne thei hadden rise eerli, and `now it bigan to be cleer, Samuel clepide Saul in to the soler, and seide, Rise thou, that Y delyuere thee. And Saul roos, and bothe yeden out, that is, he, and Samuel.
27 Sementara mereka berjalan ke pinggir kota, Samuel berkata kepada Saul, “Suruhlah budakmu untuk mendahului kita.” Maka Saul menyuruhnya demikian. Lalu Samuel berkata kepada Saul, “Tunggu sebentar, karena saya mau menyampaikan pesan dari Allah kepadamu.”
And whanne thei yeden doun in the laste part of the citee, Samuel seide to Saul, Seie thou to the child, that he go bifor vs, and passe; forsothe stonde thou a litil, that Y schewe to thee the word of the Lord.
