Mazmur 84

1 Untuk pemimpin biduan. Menurut lagu: Gitit. Mazmur bani Korah. Betapa disenangi tempat kediaman-Mu, ya TUHAN semesta alam!

For the Leader; upon the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How lovely are Thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

2 Jiwaku hancur karena merindukan pelataran-pelataran TUHAN; hatiku dan dagingku bersorak-sorai kepada Allah yang hidup.

My soul yearneth, yea, even pineth for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing for joy unto the living God.

3 Bahkan burung pipit telah mendapat sebuah rumah, dan burung layang-layang sebuah sarang, tempat menaruh anak-anaknya, pada mezbah-mezbah-Mu, ya TUHAN semesta alam, ya Rajaku dan Allahku!

Yea, the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young; Thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God —.

4 Berbahagialah orang-orang yang diam di rumah-Mu, yang terus-menerus memuji-muji Engkau. (Sela)

Happy are they that dwell in Thy house, they are ever praising Thee. (Selah)

5 Berbahagialah manusia yang kekuatannya di dalam Engkau, yang berhasrat mengadakan ziarah!

Happy is the man whose strength is in Thee; in whose heart are the highways.

6 Apabila melintasi lembah Baka, mereka membuatnya menjadi tempat yang bermata air; bahkan hujan pada awal musim menyelubunginya dengan berkat.

Passing through the valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; yea, the early rain clotheth it with blessings.

7 Mereka berjalan makin lama makin kuat, hendak menghadap Allah di Sion.

They go from strength to strength, every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.

8 Ya TUHAN, Allah semesta alam, dengarkanlah doaku, pasanglah telinga, ya Allah Yakub. (Sela)

O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. (Selah)

9 Lihatlah perisai kami, ya Allah, pandanglah wajah orang yang Kauurapi!

Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of Thine anointed.

10 Sebab lebih baik satu hari di pelataran-Mu dari pada seribu hari di tempat lain; lebih baik berdiri di ambang pintu rumah Allahku dari pada diam di kemah-kemah orang fasik.

For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand; I had rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 Sebab TUHAN Allah adalah matahari dan perisai; kasih dan kemuliaan Ia berikan; Ia tidak menahan kebaikan dari orang yang hidup tidak bercela.

For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD giveth grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12 Ya TUHAN semesta alam, berbahagialah manusia yang percaya kepada-Mu!

O LORD of hosts, happy is the man that trusteth in Thee.
