Mazmur 68
1 Untuk pemimpin biduan. Mazmur Daud. Nyanyian. Allah bangkit, maka terseraklah musuh-musuh-Nya, orang-orang yang membenci Dia melarikan diri dari hadapan-Nya.
Unto the end. A Canticle Psalm of David himself. May God rise up, and may his enemies be scattered, and may those who hate him flee from before his face.
2 Seperti asap hilang tertiup, seperti lilin meleleh di depan api, demikianlah orang-orang fasik binasa di hadapan Allah.
Just as smoke vanishes, so may they vanish. Just as wax flows away before the face of fire, so may sinners pass away before the face of God.
3 Tetapi orang-orang benar bersukacita, mereka beria-ria di hadapan Allah, bergembira dan bersukacita.
And so, let the just feast, and let them exult in the sight of God and be delighted in gladness.
4 Bernyanyilah bagi Allah, mazmurkanlah nama-Nya, buatlah jalan bagi Dia yang berkendaraan melintasi awan-awan! Nama-Nya ialah TUHAN; beria-rialah di hadapan-Nya!
Sing to God, sing a psalm to his name. Make a path for him, who ascends over the west. The Lord is his name. Exult in his sight; they will be stirred up before his face,
5 Bapa bagi anak yatim dan Pelindung bagi para janda, itulah Allah di kediaman-Nya yang kudus;
the father of orphans and the judge of widows. God is in his holy place.
6 Allah memberi tempat tinggal kepada orang-orang sebatang kara, Ia mengeluarkan orang-orang tahanan, sehingga mereka bahagia, tetapi pemberontak-pemberontak tinggal di tanah yang gundul.
It is God who makes men dwell in a house under one custom. He leads out those who are strongly bound, and similarly, those who exasperate, who dwell in sepulchers.
7 Ya Allah, ketika Engkau maju berperang di depan umat-Mu, ketika Engkau melangkah di padang belantara, (Sela)
O God, when you departed in the sight of your people, when you passed through the desert,
8 bergoncanglah bumi, bahkan langit mencurahkan hujan di hadapan Allah; Sinai bergoyang di hadapan Allah, Allah Israel.
the earth was moved, for the heavens rained down before the face of the God of Sinai, before the face of the God of Israel.
9 Hujan yang melimpah Engkau siramkan, ya Allah; Engkau memulihkan tanah milik-Mu yang gersang,
You will set aside for your inheritance, O God, a willing rain. And though it was weak, truly, you have made it perfect.
10 sehingga kawanan hewan-Mu menetap di sana; dalam kebaikan-Mu Engkau memenuhi kebutuhan orang yang tertindas, ya Allah.
Your animals will dwell in it. O God, in your sweetness, you have provided for the poor.
11 Tuhan menyampaikan sabda; orang-orang yang membawa kabar baik itu merupakan tentara yang besar:
The Lord will give the word to evangelizers, along with great virtue.
12 Raja-raja segala tentara melarikan diri, melarikan diri, dan perempuan di rumah membagi-bagi jarahan.
The King of virtue is beloved among the beloved. And the beauty of the house will divide spoils.
13 Maukah kamu berbaring di antara kandang-kandang? Sayap-sayap merpati bersalut dengan perak, bulu kepaknya dengan emas berkilau-kilauan.
If you take your rest in the midst of the clergy, you will be like a dove whose wings are covered with fine silver and edged with pale gold.
14 Ketika Yang Mahakuasa menyerakkan raja-raja di sana, turunlah salju di atas gunung Zalmon.
When heaven discerns kings to be over her, they will be whitened with the snows of Zalmon.
15 Gunung Allah gunung Basan itu, gunung yang berpuncak banyak gunung Basan itu!
The mountain of God is a fat mountain, a dense mountain, a thick mountain.
16 Hai gunung-gunung yang berpuncak banyak, mengapa kamu menjeling cemburu, kepada gunung yang dikehendaki Allah menjadi tempat kedudukan-Nya? Sesungguhnya TUHAN akan diam di sana untuk seterusnya!
So then, why are you distrustful of dense mountains? The mountain on which God is well pleased to dwell, even there, the Lord will dwell until the end.
17 Kereta-kereta Allah puluhan ribu, bahkan beribu-ribu banyaknya; Tuhan telah datang dari Sinai, masuk ke tempat kudus!
The chariot of God is ten thousand fold: thousands rejoice. The Lord is with them in Sinai, in the holy place.
18 Engkau telah naik ke tempat tinggi, telah membawa tawanan-tawanan; Engkau telah menerima persembahan-persembahan di antara manusia, bahkan dari pemberontak-pemberontak untuk diam di sana, ya TUHAN Allah.
You have ascended on high; you have taken captivity captive. You have accepted gifts among men. For even those who do not believe dwell with the Lord God.
19 Terpujilah Tuhan! Hari demi hari Ia menanggung bagi kita; Allah adalah keselamatan kita. (Sela)
Blessed is the Lord, day after day. The God of our salvation will make our journey prosper for us.
20 Allah bagi kita adalah Allah yang menyelamatkan, ALLAH, Tuhanku, memberi keluputan dari maut.
Our God is the God who will bring about our salvation, and our Lord is the Lord who has brought an end to death.
21 Sesungguhnya, Allah meremukkan kepala musuh-Nya, tempurung kepala yang berambut dari orang yang tetap hidup dalam kesalahan-kesalahannya.
So then, truly, God will break the heads of his enemies, the hairy skull of those who wander around in their offenses.
22 Tuhan telah berfirman: "Dari Basan akan Kubawa kembali, akan Kubawa kembali dari tempat yang dalam,
The Lord said: I will turn them away from Bashan, I will turn them into the depths of the sea,
23 supaya engkau membasuh kakimu dalam darah, dan lidah anjing-anjingmu mendapat bagiannya dari pada musuh."
so that your feet may be soaked in the blood of your enemies, so that the tongue of your dogs may be soaked with the same.
24 Orang melihat perarakan-Mu, ya Allah, perarakan Allahku, Rajaku, ke dalam tempat kudus.
O God, they have seen your arrival, the arrival of my God, of my king who is in a holy place.
25 Di depan berjalan penyanyi-penyanyi, di belakang pemetik-pemetik kecapi, di tengah-tengah dayang-dayang yang memalu rebana.
The leaders went ahead, united with the singers of psalms, in the midst of girls playing on timbrels.
26 "Dalam jemaah pujilah Allah, yakni TUHAN, hai kamu yang berasal dari sumber Israel!"
In the churches, bless the Lord God from the fountains of Israel.
27 Itu Benyamin, yang bungsu, yang berjalan di depan mereka, pemuka-pemuka Yehuda berbondong-bondong, pemuka-pemuka Zebulon, pemuka-pemuka Naftali.
In that place, Benjamin is a youth in ecstasy of mind. The leaders of Judah are their governors: the leaders of Zebulun, the leaders of Naphtali.
28 Kerahkanlah kekuatan-Mu, ya Allah, tunjukkanlah kekuatan-Mu, ya Allah, Engkau yang telah bertindak bagi kami.
Command by your virtue, O God. Confirm in this place, O God, what you have wrought in us.
29 Demi bait-Mu di Yerusalem, raja-raja menyampaikan persembahan kepada-Mu.
Before your temple in Jerusalem, kings will offer gifts to you.
30 Hardiklah binatang-binatang di teberau, kawanan orang-orang kuat, penguasa-penguasa bangsa-bangsa! Injaklah mereka yang mengejar perak; serakkanlah bangsa-bangsa yang suka berperang!
Rebuke the wild beasts of the reeds, a congregation of bulls with the cows of the people, for they seek to exclude those who have been tested like silver. Scatter the nations that are pleased by wars.
31 Dari Mesir orang membawa barang-barang tembaga, Etiopia bersegera mengulurkan tangannya kepada Allah.
Ambassadors will come out of Egypt. Ethiopia will offer in advance her hands to God.
32 Hai kerajaan-kerajaan bumi, menyanyilah bagi Allah, bermazmurlah bagi Tuhan; (Sela)
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth. Sing psalms to the Lord. Sing psalms to God.
33 bagi Dia yang berkendaraan melintasi langit purbakala. Perhatikanlah, Ia memperdengarkan suara-Nya, suara-Nya yang dahsyat!
He ascends, up to the heaven of the heavens, toward the east. Behold, he will utter his voice, the voice of virtue.
34 Akuilah kekuasaan Allah; kemegahan-Nya ada di atas Israel, kekuasaan-Nya di dalam awan-awan.
Give glory to God beyond Israel. His magnificence and his virtue is in the clouds.
35 Allah adalah dahsyat dari dalam tempat kudus-Nya; Allah Israel, Dia mengaruniakan kekuasaan dan kekuatan kepada umat-Nya. Terpujilah Allah!
God is wonderful in his saints. The God of Israel himself will give virtue and strength to his people. Blessed is God.
