< Mazmur 6 >
1 Untuk pemimpin biduan. Dengan permainan kecapi. Menurut lagu: Yang kedelapan. Mazmur Daud. Ya TUHAN, janganlah menghukum aku dalam murka-Mu, dan janganlah menghajar aku dalam kepanasan amarah-Mu.
Yahweh, do not punish me when you are angry [with me]; Do not even rebuke/scold me [when you are angry].
2 Kasihanilah aku, TUHAN, sebab aku merana; sembuhkanlah aku, TUHAN, sebab tulang-tulangku gemetar,
Yahweh, be kind to me and heal me because I have become weak. My body [SYN] shakes because I am experiencing much pain.
3 dan jiwakupun sangat terkejut; tetapi Engkau, TUHAN, berapa lama lagi?
Yahweh, I am greatly distressed. How long ([must I endure this/will it be before you help me]) [RHQ]?
4 Kembalilah pula, TUHAN, luputkanlah jiwaku, selamatkanlah aku oleh karena kasih setia-Mu.
Yahweh, please come and rescue me. Save me because you faithfully love me.
5 Sebab di dalam maut tidaklah orang ingat kepada-Mu; siapakah yang akan bersyukur kepada-Mu di dalam dunia orang mati? (Sheol )
I will not be able to praise you after I die [RHQ]; No one in the place of the dead praises you. (Sheol )
6 Lesu aku karena mengeluh; setiap malam aku menggenangi tempat tidurku, dengan air mataku aku membanjiri ranjangku.
I am exhausted/groan [from my pain]. At night I cry very much, with the result that my bed and my pillow become wet from my tears.
7 Mataku mengidap karena sakit hati, rabun karena semua lawanku.
My tears blur my eyes so much that I cannot see well. My eyes have become weak because my enemies [have caused me to cry constantly].
8 Menjauhlah dari padaku, kamu sekalian yang melakukan kejahatan, sebab TUHAN telah mendengar tangisku;
You people who do evil things, get away from me!
9 TUHAN telah mendengar permohonanku, TUHAN menerima doaku.
Yahweh heard me when I was crying and called out to him [to help me], and he will answer my prayer.
10 Semua musuhku mendapat malu dan sangat terkejut; mereka mundur dan mendapat malu dalam sekejap mata.
[When that happens], all my enemies will be ashamed, and they will [also] be terrified. They will get away [from me] and suddenly [leave me] because they will be disgraced.
