Mazmur 147
1 Haleluya! Sungguh, bermazmur bagi Allah kita itu baik, bahkan indah, dan layaklah memuji-muji itu.
Praise ye the LORD! For it is good to sing praise to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is becoming.
2 TUHAN membangun Yerusalem, Ia mengumpulkan orang-orang Israel yang tercerai-berai;
The LORD buildeth up Jerusalem; He gathereth together the dispersed of Israel.
3 Ia menyembuhkan orang-orang yang patah hati dan membalut luka-luka mereka;
He healeth the broken in heart, And bindeth up their wounds.
4 Ia menentukan jumlah bintang-bintang dan menyebut nama-nama semuanya.
He counteth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names.
5 Besarlah Tuhan kita dan berlimpah kekuatan, kebijaksanaan-Nya tak terhingga.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
6 TUHAN menegakkan kembali orang-orang yang tertindas, tetapi merendahkan orang-orang fasik sampai ke bumi.
The LORD lifteth up the lowly; He casteth the wicked down to the ground.
7 Bernyanyilah bagi TUHAN dengan nyanyian syukur, bermazmurlah bagi Allah kita dengan kecapi!
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; Sing praises upon the harp to our God!
8 Dia, yang menutupi langit dengan awan-awan, yang menyediakan hujan bagi bumi, yang membuat gunung-gunung menumbuhkan rumput.
Who covereth the heavens with clouds, Who prepareth rain for the earth, Who causeth grass to grow upon the mountains.
9 Dia, yang memberi makanan kepada hewan, kepada anak-anak burung gagak, yang memanggil-manggil.
He giveth to the cattle their food. And to the young ravens, when they cry.
10 Ia tidak suka kepada kegagahan kuda, Ia tidak senang kepada kaki laki-laki;
He delighteth not in the strength of the horse, He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 TUHAN senang kepada orang-orang yang takut akan Dia, kepada orang-orang yang berharap akan kasih setia-Nya.
The LORD taketh pleasure in those who fear him, In those who trust in his mercy.
12 Megahkanlah TUHAN, hai Yerusalem, pujilah Allahmu, hai Sion!
Praise the LORD. O Jerusalem! Praise thy God, O Zion!
13 Sebab Ia meneguhkan palang pintu gerbangmu, dan memberkati anak-anakmu di antaramu.
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee.
14 Ia memberikan kesejahteraan kepada daerahmu dan mengenyangkan engkau dengan gandum yang terbaik.
He maketh peace in thy borders, And satisfieth thee with the finest of the wheat.
15 Ia menyampaikan perintah-Nya ke bumi; dengan segera firman-Nya berlari.
He sendeth forth his command to the earth; His word runneth very swiftly.
16 Ia menurunkan salju seperti bulu domba dan menghamburkan embun beku seperti abu.
He giveth snow like wool, And scattereth the hoar-frost like ashes.
17 Ia melemparkan air batu seperti pecahan-pecahan. Siapakah yang tahan berdiri menghadapi dingin-Nya?
He casteth forth his ice like morsels; Who can stand before his cold?
18 Ia menyampaikan firman-Nya, lalu mencairkan semuanya, Ia meniupkan angin-Nya, maka air mengalir.
He sendeth forth his word, and melteth them; He causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 Ia memberitakan firman-Nya kepada Yakub, ketetapan-ketetapan-Nya dan hukum-hukum-Nya kepada Israel.
He publisheth his word to Jacob, His statutes and laws to Israel.
20 Ia tidak berbuat demikian kepada segala bangsa, dan hukum-hukum-Nya tidak mereka kenal. Haleluya!
He hath dealt in this manner with no other nation; And, as for his ordinances, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD!
