Mazmur 118

1 Bersyukurlah kepada TUHAN, sebab Ia baik! Bahwasanya untuk selama-lamanya kasih setia-Nya.

Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

2 Biarlah Israel berkata: "Bahwasanya untuk selama-lamanya kasih setia-Nya!"

Let now the house of Israel say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

3 Biarlah kaum Harun berkata: "Bahwasanya untuk selama-lamanya kasih setia-Nya!"

Let now the house of Aaron say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

4 Biarlah orang yang takut akan TUHAN berkata: "Bahwasanya untuk selama-lamanya kasih setia-Nya!"

Let now all that fear the Lord say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.

5 Dalam kesesakan aku telah berseru kepada TUHAN. TUHAN telah menjawab aku dengan memberi kelegaan.

I called on the Lord out of affliction: and he listened to me, [so as to bring me] into a wide place.

6 TUHAN di pihakku. Aku tidak akan takut. Apakah yang dapat dilakukan manusia terhadap aku?

The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear what man shall do to me.

7 TUHAN di pihakku, menolong aku; aku akan memandang rendah mereka yang membenci aku.

The Lord is my helper; and I shall see [my desire] upon mine enemies.

8 Lebih baik berlindung pada TUHAN dari pada percaya kepada manusia.

[It is] better to trust in the Lord than to trust in man.

9 Lebih baik berlindung pada TUHAN dari pada percaya kepada para bangsawan.

[It is] better to hope in the Lord, than to hope in princes.

10 Segala bangsa mengelilingi aku--demi nama TUHAN, sesungguhnya aku pukul mereka mundur.

All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

11 Mereka mengelilingi aku, ya mengelilingi aku--demi nama TUHAN, sesungguhnya aku pukul mereka mundur.

They completely compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

12 Mereka mengelilingi aku seperti lebah, mereka menyala-nyala seperti api duri, --demi nama TUHAN, sesungguhnya aku pukul mereka mundur.

They compassed me about as bees [do] a honeycomb, and they burst into flame as fire among thorns: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.

13 Aku ditolak dengan hebat sampai jatuh, tetapi TUHAN menolong aku.

I was thrust, and sorely shaken, that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.

14 TUHAN itu kekuatanku dan mazmurku; Ia telah menjadi keselamatanku.

The Lord is my strength and my song, and is become my salvation.

15 Suara sorak-sorai dan kemenangan di kemah orang-orang benar: "Tangan kanan TUHAN melakukan keperkasaan,

The voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord has wrought mightily.

16 tangan kanan TUHAN berkuasa meninggikan, tangan kanan TUHAN melakukan keperkasaan!"

The right hand of the Lord has exalted me: the right hand of the Lord has wrought powerfully.

17 Aku tidak akan mati, tetapi hidup, dan aku akan menceritakan perbuatan-perbuatan TUHAN.

I shall not die, but live, and recount the works of the Lord.

18 TUHAN telah menghajar aku dengan keras, tetapi Ia tidak menyerahkan aku kepada maut.

The Lord has chastened me sore: but he has not given me up to death.

19 Bukakanlah aku pintu gerbang kebenaran, aku hendak masuk ke dalamnya, hendak mengucap syukur kepada TUHAN.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.

20 Inilah pintu gerbang TUHAN, orang-orang benar akan masuk ke dalamnya.

This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous shall enter by it.

21 Aku bersyukur kepada-Mu, sebab Engkau telah menjawab aku dan telah menjadi keselamatanku.

I will give thanks to you; because you have heard me, and are become my salvation.

22 Batu yang dibuang oleh tukang-tukang bangunan telah menjadi batu penjuru.

The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner.

23 Hal itu terjadi dari pihak TUHAN, suatu perbuatan ajaib di mata kita.

This has been done of the Lord; and it is wonderful in our eyes.

24 Inilah hari yang dijadikan TUHAN, marilah kita bersorak-sorak dan bersukacita karenanya!

This is the day which the Lord has made: let us exult and rejoice in it.

25 Ya TUHAN, berilah kiranya keselamatan! Ya TUHAN, berilah kiranya kemujuran!

O Lord, save now: O Lord, send now prosperity.

26 Diberkatilah dia yang datang dalam nama TUHAN! Kami memberkati kamu dari dalam rumah TUHAN.

Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

27 Tuhanlah Allah, Dia menerangi kita. Ikatkanlah korban hari raya itu dengan tali, pada tanduk-tanduk mezbah.

God is the Lord, and he has shined upon us: celebrate the feast with thick [branches, binding the victims] even to the horns of the altar.

28 Allahku Engkau, aku hendak bersyukur kepada-Mu, Allahku, aku hendak meninggikan Engkau.

You are my God, and I will give you thanks: you are my God, and I will exalt you. I will give thanks to you, for you have heard me, and are become my salvation.

29 Bersyukurlah kepada TUHAN, sebab Ia baik! Bahwasanya untuk selama-lamanya kasih setia-Nya.

Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
