Mazmur 112
1 Haleluya! Berbahagialah orang yang takut akan TUHAN, yang sangat suka kepada segala perintah-Nya.
Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.
2 Anak cucunya akan perkasa di bumi; angkatan orang benar akan diberkati.
Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].
3 Harta dan kekayaan ada dalam rumahnya, kebajikannya tetap untuk selamanya.
Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.
4 Di dalam gelap terbit terang bagi orang benar; pengasih dan penyayang orang yang adil.
Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.
5 Mujur orang yang menaruh belas kasihan dan yang memberi pinjaman, yang melakukan urusannya dengan sewajarnya.
Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.
6 Sebab ia takkan goyah untuk selama-lamanya; orang benar itu akan diingat selama-lamanya.
Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].
7 Ia tidak takut kepada kabar celaka, hatinya tetap, penuh kepercayaan kepada TUHAN.
They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.
8 Hatinya teguh, ia tidak takut, sehingga ia memandang rendah para lawannya.
They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.
9 Ia membagi-bagikan, ia memberikan kepada orang miskin; kebajikannya tetap untuk selama-lamanya, tanduknya meninggi dalam kemuliaan.
They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.
10 Orang fasik melihatnya, lalu sakit hati, ia menggertakkan giginya, lalu hancur; keinginan orang fasik akan menuju kebinasaan.
Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
