2 Samuel 22
1 Daud mengatakan perkataan nyanyian ini kepada TUHAN pada waktu TUHAN telah melepaskan dia dari cengkeraman semua musuhnya dan dari cengkeraman Saul.
David spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
2 Ia berkata: "Ya, TUHAN, bukit batuku, kubu pertahananku dan penyelamatku,
and he said, "The LORD is my Rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer.
3 Allahku, gunung batuku, tempat aku berlindung, perisaiku, tanduk keselamatanku, kota bentengku, tempat pelarianku, juruselamatku; Engkau menyelamatkan aku dari kekerasan.
My God, my Rock, in him I will take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; from violent people he saves me.
4 Terpujilah TUHAN, seruku; maka akupun selamat dari pada musuhku.
I call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
5 Sesungguhnya gelora-gelora maut telah mengelilingi aku, banjir-banjir jahanam telah menimpa aku,
For the waves of death surrounded me, and the currents of ungodliness overwhelmed me.
6 tali-tali dunia orang mati telah membelit aku, perangkap-perangkap maut terpasang di depanku. (Sheol h7585)
The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me. (Sheol h7585)
7 Ketika aku dalam kesesakan, aku berseru kepada TUHAN, kepada Allahku aku berseru. Dan Ia mendengar suaraku dari bait-Nya, teriakku minta tolong masuk ke telinga-Nya.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and I cried out to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came into his ears.
8 Lalu bergoyang dan bergoncanglah bumi, dasar-dasar langit gemetar dan bergoyang, oleh karena bernyala-nyala murka-Nya.
Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.
9 Asap membubung dari hidung-Nya, api menjilat keluar dari mulut-Nya, bara menyala keluar dari pada-Nya.
Smoke went up out of his nostrils. Fire out of his mouth devoured. Coals were kindled by it.
10 Ia menekukkan langit, lalu turun, kekelaman ada di bawah kaki-Nya.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.
11 Ia mengendarai kerub, lalu terbang, dan tampak di atas sayap angin.
He rode on a cherub, and flew; and he glided on the wings of the wind.
12 Dan Ia membuat kegelapan di sekeliling-Nya menjadi pondok-Nya: air hujan yang gelap, awan yang tebal.
He made darkness his hiding place, his canopy around him thick clouds dark with water.
13 Karena sinar kilat di hadapan-Nya bara api menjadi menyala.
From the brightness before him his thick clouds passed on, with hailstones and coals of fire.
14 TUHAN mengguntur dari langit, Yang Mahatinggi memperdengarkan suara-Nya.
The LORD thundered from heaven. The Most High uttered his voice.
15 Dilepaskan-Nya panah-panah, sehingga diserakkan-Nya mereka, yakni kilat-kilat, sehingga dikacaukan-Nya mereka.
And he sent out arrows and scattered them, and he shot lightning bolts and routed them.
16 Lalu kelihatanlah dasar-dasar laut, alas-alas dunia tersingkap karena hardikan TUHAN karena hembusan nafas dari hidung-Nya.
Then the channels of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare by the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
17 Ia menjangkau dari tempat tinggi, mengambil aku, menarik aku dari banjir.
He sent from on high and he took me. He drew me out of many waters.
18 Ia melepaskan aku dari musuhku yang gagah, dari pada orang-orang yang membenci aku, karena mereka terlalu kuat bagiku.
He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
19 Mereka menghadang aku pada hari sialku, tetapi TUHAN adalah sandaran bagiku;
They came on me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support.
20 Ia membawa aku keluar ke tempat lapang, Ia menyelamatkan aku, karena Ia berkenan kepadaku.
He also brought me out into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
21 TUHAN memperlakukan aku sesuai dengan kebenaranku; Ia membalas kepadaku sesuai dengan kesucian tanganku,
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness. He rewarded me according to the cleanness of my hands.
22 sebab aku tetap mengikuti jalan TUHAN dan tidak menjauhkan diri dari Allahku sebagai orang fasik.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23 Sebab segala hukum-Nya kuperhatikan, dan dari ketetapan-Nya aku tidak menyimpang;
For all his ordinances were before me, and his statutes I did not put away from me.
24 aku berlaku tidak bercela kepada-Nya dan menjaga diri terhadap kesalahan.
I was also perfect toward him. I kept myself from my iniquity.
25 Karena itu TUHAN membalas kepadaku sesuai dengan kebenaranku, sesuai dengan kesucianku di depan mata-Nya.
Therefore the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.
26 Terhadap orang yang setia Engkau berlaku setia, terhadap orang yang tidak bercela Engkau berlaku tidak bercela,
With the faithful you show yourself faithful. With the innocent you show yourself innocent.
27 terhadap orang yang suci Engkau berlaku suci, tetapi terhadap orang yang bengkok Engkau berlaku belat-belit.
With the pure you show yourself pure. And with the crooked you show yourself tortuous.
28 Bangsa yang tertindas Engkau selamatkan, tetapi mata-Mu melawan orang-orang yang tinggi hati, supaya mereka Kaurendahkan.
You save a humble people, but the eyes of the proud you will bring low.
29 Karena Engkaulah pelitaku, ya TUHAN, dan TUHAN menyinari kegelapanku.
For you light my lamp. The LORD my God lights up my darkness.
30 Karena dengan Engkau aku berani menghadapi gerombolan, dengan Allahku aku berani melompati tembok.
For by you, I run against a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
31 Adapun Allah, jalan-Nya sempurna; sabda TUHAN itu murni; Dia menjadi perisai bagi semua orang yang berlindung pada-Nya.
As for God, his way is perfect. The word of the LORD is pure. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
32 Sebab siapakah Allah selain dari TUHAN, dan siapakah gunung batu selain dari Allah kita?
For who is God, besides the LORD? Who is a rock, besides our God,
33 Allah, Dialah yang menjadi tempat pengungsianku yang kuat dan membuat jalanku rata;
the God who girds me with strength, and makes my way blameless?
34 yang membuat kakiku seperti kaki rusa dan membuat aku berdiri di bukit;
He makes my feet like those of a deer, and sets me on my high places.
35 yang mengajar tanganku berperang, sehingga lenganku dapat melengkungkan busur tembaga.
He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
36 Juga Kauberikan kepadaku perisai keselamatan-Mu, dan kebaikan-Mu telah membuat aku besar.
You have also given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand holds me up, and your help has made me great.
37 Kauberikan tempat lapang untuk langkahku, dan mata kakiku tidak goyah.
You have enlarged my steps under me. My feet have not slipped.
38 Aku mengejar musuhku sampai mereka kupunahkan, dan tidak berbalik sebelum mereka kuhabiskan;
I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and I did not turn back until they were destroyed.
39 aku menghabiskan dan meremukkan mereka, sehingga mereka tidak bangkit lagi, dan mereka rebah di bawah kakiku.
And I consumed them, and struck them through, so that they did not rise. And they fell beneath my feet.
40 Engkau telah mengikat pinggangku dengan keperkasaan untuk berperang, Engkau tundukkan ke bawah kuasaku orang yang bangkit melawan aku.
For you have equipped me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
41 Kaubuat musuhku lari dari padaku, orang-orang yang membenci aku, mereka kubinasakan.
You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
42 Mereka berteriak minta tolong, tetapi tidak ada yang menyelamatkan, mereka berteriak kepada TUHAN, tetapi Ia tidak menjawab mereka.
They cry out, but there was none to save; even to the LORD, but he did not answer them.
43 Aku menggiling mereka halus-halus seperti debu tanah, aku menumbuk mereka dan menginjak-injak mereka seperti lumpur di jalan.
Then I ground them as fine as the dust on the surface of a path. Like the mud in the streets, I trampled them.
44 Dan Engkau meluputkan aku dari perbantahan bangsaku; Engkau memelihara aku sebagai kepala atas bangsa-bangsa; bangsa yang tidak kukenal menjadi hambaku;
You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people. You have kept me to be the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.
45 orang-orang asing tunduk menjilat kepadaku, baru saja telinga mereka mendengar, mereka taat kepadaku.
As soon as they hear of me they obey me. Foreigners come cringing to me;
46 Orang-orang asing pucat layu dan keluar dari kota kubunya dengan gemetar.
they are not bound in chains.
47 TUHAN hidup! Terpujilah gunung batuku, dan ditinggikanlah kiranya Allah gunung batu keselamatanku,
The LORD lives. Blessed be my rock. Exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,
48 Allah, yang telah mengadakan pembalasan bagiku, yang telah membawa bangsa-bangsa ke bawah kuasaku,
even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me,
49 dan yang telah membebaskan aku dari pada musuhku. Dan Engkau telah meninggikan aku mengatasi mereka yang bangkit melawan aku; Engkau telah melepaskan aku dari para penindas.
who brings me away from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You protect me from the violent man.
50 Sebab itu aku mau menyanyikan syukur bagi-Mu, ya TUHAN, di antara bangsa-bangsa, dan aku mau menyanyikan mazmur bagi nama-Mu.
Therefore I will praise you, LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
51 Ia mengaruniakan keselamatan yang besar kepada raja yang diangkat-Nya, dan menunjukkan kasih setia kepada orang yang diurapi-Nya, kepada Daud dan anak cucunya untuk selamanya."
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his descendants, until forever."
